I also got the Yates desktop handbook and I'm seeing my self assessment scores rise with these 2 books. Very comprehensive, and is similar to the BCSP self assessment questions
Get it. The information is solid, and for a (relatively) heavily discounted price you get 400 practice questions and roughly 100 pages of good refresher material on ethics, chemistry, standards (forklifts, confined spaces, etc), environment protection, etc. I wouldn't say it's the only book you'll need. I also got the Yates desktop handbook and I'm seeing my self assessment scores rise with these 2 books. Although I've noticed this book does not cover and is not as obsessed with biolab safety levels as my BSCP self assessment exams are.

Great study material
Material was sent in timely manner and you get free electronic version study material as an additions you can get it as a DVD or email. This will be a great resource for me to use to study for my upcoming exam.

The only dislike is having to flip to the back of the book for the answers to the questions. If there was an easier to format to get the answers. But overall good!

I received the guide in a timely manner. Upon first glance of the study guide it looks to have great break down and explinations of the material for studing.

The issue with the book is it simply regurgitates definitions without actually engaging the reader. There are no exercises for readers or ways to help reinforce what is being read. The book simply has terms and definitions. You could get a list of terms for the ASP and write down what Wikipedia says about each team and be better off and save 50 bucks. A proper book should have subject matter and then examples and questions throughout the text. It's not a bad book but it is definitely not worth 50 bucks. Spend more for a higher quality text.

I wish there were more practice exams. I prefer the style of practicing the actual exam and see the explanations to solve the issues.
