can you use it to store fountain pens

The box will store any pen up to 7.5 inches long.

So I use mine for school. I have pencil marks, pen ink & pencil shavings in it. Does anyone know how to clean the inside of it?

You can wash the box in your washing machine.Please use the gentle cycle, use a maximum water temperature of 30°C/86°F. Lay flat to dry.

Will this hold 24-48 sharpies?

yes, at least 24 and possibly 48. It is very roomy and you can stack items above the zipper line without them spilling out.

Would Velcro stick to the interior lining?

It’s a brushed nylon interior so I think Velcro would stick.
