10" Alpha Porcellana Wet Diamond Blade

I couldn't be happier with this product. I used it to tile a bathroom shower, which was porcelain 12 x 12 tiles. Nice clean edge no chipping just go slow when you cut it but not too slow . Very nice. Very happy with this.

The cut on this blade is incredible. The photo shows the difference between this blade (left) and an Dewalt XP4 (right) at a good feed rate on a Dewalt 24000 tile saw. Both were sanded lightly with a 200 grit Diamond Sponge after cutting. To get anything close to it with the Dewalt blade I have to go at 1/3 the speed and it still isn't even close. Obviously for a tile buried in a corner the Dewalt is fine, but for exposed cut edges like around shelf insets or nesting against a trim strip this is my go to blade.

I wish I knew about this blade before, cutting Italian porcelain tile, can’t tell the difference between factory cut and this. Picture says it all, worth the price and no need for diamond pad to cleanup chips

This is literally my 5th attempt, and finally I found a blade that doesn't wobble and doesn't chip the tile.DeWalt XP4: 0.007" runout, very loud, felt rough when cutting, chipped like crazy.Razor T3 (two): 0.015-0.017" runout, quiet, felt smooth when cutting, chipped the tile.Ridgid reinforced hub "Diamond Edge" blade: 0.005" runout, a little loud, a little rough when cutting, chipped the tile.Finally, this Alpha Porcellana: 0.002" runout, quiet, smooth cuts, very clean edges.Obviously there are other factors in how well a tile cuts...the tile itself, the saw / motor / arbor, table alignment, sufficient water, etc. I tested all 5 blades on the same saw with the same tiles...the Alpha was clearly the best for me.Note: I did try to cut glass tile - it chipped.

I'm not someone that reviews things often, but I am a craftsman that has struggled to find a quality blade that handles modern porcelain. Over 20 years crafting luxury bathes and custom tile work, and this blade has performed better than the rest. I got about 5 bathes out of the first blade and am on the second. The price isn't great but that is NOT my concern, my concern is making cuts clean enough that they can be hand rubbed to perfection and this blade gets it done.I WAS using the razor T3, but something changed (specifically: where they are manufactured) and it isnt the same. I have zero complaints with this Alpha Porcellan 10 inch. If you're a craftsman and need perfect, it's worth the money. If your a homeowner (DIYer), it may not be worth the extra $40.2 YEAR UPDATE…This is still my blade of choice. If you're a pro completing top tier projects, this has been a solid performer. Porcelain, some/most of the time, still needs a light hand rub to get a prefect edge, but I've yet to find a blade that doesn't require that little extra rub to make perfect. That said, it's the only blade I use for dense materials. Still worth every penny!

Blade turns true which produces cuts with no edge chipping. Easily the best blade I’ve ever used. Now the test will be for longevity.

"4.5 points" here. Deflection is somewhat worse than I hoped. Very good cuts. Maybe gets dull a bit faster than could be hoped for (not sure about this one). Would be 5 points if it was cheaper. I may still buy this again.

We bought this blade to use with an MK-101 10" wet saw to cut agatized Withlacoochee coral. We had previously been using a 6" wet saw. As far as the cut, this blade delivers a clean cut leaving a nearly polished appearing surface. It works great on tile. However, if you're cutting coral with it, like we are, stick with cheap blades and don't waste your money. This bad boy while a great blade will dull quickly on agatized coral. We thought we'd try it since it performs so well on tile, but up against the agatized coral, it performed similarly to other much less expensive blades. While most people will not be using this blade for our purposes and will benefit from a great long-lasting (tile cutting) blade, if you're a "rock hound" save your money. :)
