Vehicle: 2020 Mazda 6 (non-Bose)
I installed a JBL SUBBP12AM 12” amplified subwoofer using an EFX PA8BX amp wiring kit and a Kicker 46KISLOC2 line output converter. For anyone with a non-Bose Mazda 6, this setup integrates cleanly with the factory head unit and provides a noticeable low-end improvement without replacing stock components. Mazda 6–specific install tip: Instead of removing door panels to verify speaker polarity, I tapped into the Tuner / Amp unit located to the right of the glovebox. I used an IBR68 tone generator along with the SpeakerPop iPhone app to confirm polarity. This avoided unnecessary trim removal and made the install quicker. Helpful YouTube searches that guided the process: • “2020 Mazda CX-5 Sub & Amp FULL INSTALL” • “How To Check Car Speaker Polarity Without Taking Your Door Panel Off” If you’re researching installs for a 2020 Mazda 6 without Bose, this approach works and saves time.

Sounds good and an easy install for what you get.
I've purchased this for a Nissan Murano 2006. Installed in that pretty easily, took it out reinstalled it into a Acura MDX shortly thereafter for my daughter. Sounds pretty good for what it is could be a little bit cleaner but you know it's not expensive and it's an all-in-one. Shakes everything around it if you wanted to. Has a nice knob to turn that shaking everything around you function. I constantly have to yell at my daughter for her to turn it down as she's coming into the neighborhood. As I'm sure the neighbors could do without hearing her driving up and down the street. And not to mention thieves. It's definitely no 1,000 watt or better comp stereo piece. Which I do have those in my vehicles, and have installed since the teenager. The competitions the whole bit. And I would say for what I spent on this, it's plenty loud enough for a 16-year-old girl for the suburbs to be impressed. In fact when she gets in her mom's car that has no sub upgrade, she often complains and cries about having to drive in that car. LOL as for it being easy installed, I will be buying another one for my 14 year old daughter soon enough for her soon to be vehicle too. Double the sound.. can't wait..

2022 Challenger R/T
Awesome product. Very powerful. Obviously sounds great with bass-heavy songs but I’ve got an eclectic taste in music and this gem pulls the bass out of songs from the 60’s, 70’s & 80’s as well which changes the listening experience. It sits in the trunk of my Challenger which has a very thick back seat and it has more than enough power to break through and make my rear view mirror vibrate. I bought it after watching several You Tube videos on the unit by other Challenger owners. Highly recommend this powered sub! Only thing I’d recommend is buying a speaker grill to protect the 12” speaker; if you keep it in a trunk or the back of an SUV the speaker itself is pretty exposed. I bought one on Amazon for under $20. Had Frank Smith & his guys from Bangharts in West Chester Pa do the sub install. They’re the best around so id highly recommend that shop if you’re in the area!

We like the cars that go boom
JBL doesn't disappoint never has never will. If you've ever had anything by them you know that they're a quality product and this is no exception.Easy to install quality is amazing and the sound is even better. Mine is in a Subaru impreza and sure it definitely takes up some trunk space but who cares.. that's why you get a subwoofer, for the bass and the sound not cause you need to put Stuff in your trunk. Fit quite nicely the amp is snug on the back very nicely attached and very well built from factory. It definitely It's hard for what it is. You could spend thousands on your stereo sure but that's not me I want something I can just throw in and great quality great craftsmanship that sounds amazing boom done game over. Highly recommend this product If you want a great product at a good price.

I hooked up subwoofer with 8 gauge wiring in my 2021 Acura TLX Advanced. I tapped into the rear deck speakers via wire taps. Be sure to unhook the ANC(Active Noise Cancellation) if your vehicle is equipped, otherwise, you will have terrible feedback. The subwoofer was already blown. Called Amazon and they quickly sent a replacement. The replacement sounded much better. It has good bass when tuned properly. I have gain set around 75%, bass boost set at 0db and frequency at 40hz. Bass is perfect with the ELS sound system. Once you turn bass boost and frequency up. Subwoofer sounds distorted. So, be sure you tune it properly. The bass remote is terrible, its basically a turn off switch. There is no in between. The bass is the same at a quarter turn, or full turn. The port works perfectly, no chopping aound. I was able to purchase the subwoofer for $199. At that price point, its a buy. Overall, it has plenty of bass.

Smaller but powerfull.
Despite the smaller size and lower Watts/RMS, this has decent amount of bass. Of course, it won't give you earth shaking bass but you'll enjoy. I paired it with HK Logic 7 Subwoofer and got well shaking bass together. Regarding the size, it was fitted like produced for my car.

Love This Sub
I have only ever had JBL subs, specifically the ones with built in amps. They make your life so much easier and wiring is not a problem. I was originally sent a sub that didn't work, I think it had damage during shipping but was able to get a new one sent with the return of the defective one very easily. Definitely worth the money my previous JBL sub lasted me 6 years and was swapped out of multiple vehicles.
