Ocean: A Visual Encyclopedia (DK Children's Visual Encyclopedias)

This is the 2nd copy of this book that I've bought. The first one was for my son, who loved it so much that he begged me to get one for his cousin. Full of neat facts and stunning pictures, this is a great book to have! It makes a wonderful present and is a book my 10-year-old will still grab and flip through.

Really nice book packed with a lot of interesting information about the ocean. Decent level of science presented although not too much to lose younger readers. Great vivid pictures and illustrations. I should have bought the hardback, this would make a nice coffee table read.

As a middle school teacher, I love having non fiction books available in my classroom library that are visually appealing. Every single one of my students gets something out of this book with the great pictures, bold headings and detailed information- it is a book all of the students at leas flip through at some point in the year!

Beautiful color and pictures. Great descriptions. This book kept her intrigued for weeks and weeks. She still refers to it. Great for any upper elementary or middle school student interested in the ocean and the creatures that live in it.

Bought for our homeschool collection. My 10 year old loves this book! He is fascinated with all things ocean and spent hours going over the book and enjoying it! Highly recommend if you have an ocean lover in your home too!

My son wants to be a marine biologist. He loves this book. Beautiful pictures and great information.

Love the book, bought it for my four-year-old granddaughter who is very interested in marine biology. Some pages are sprinkled with lots of small pictures with a short explanation of each, and my preference would have been that every page was a large photo (some are) so that more detail could be seen on every photograph. With three little ones gathered around the book fighting to see the small photos it became a problem. But overall the book is wonderful!

The pics and descriptions are very well done. I bought these for my children starting at the age of 4 and they still read them into middle school age. I buy them now for my nieces and nephews. Great books with factually writings.

the book is very good, so was the delivery. i bought it for my 10 yr old son who is an avid reader, but he was not very attracted to this book . i guess he needs to grow a little more older.

Beautiful book, heavy, shiny pages, great for kids (not too small, I’d say about 8 and above). Great as a present, too.
