It gets all my jewelry sparkling clean and even though I haven't tried it yet, it has the ability to even clean DVD's and glasses. Although it didn't state it, mine included the DVD holder and a watch holder. The great thing about the watch holder is that you can still clean watches that are not water resistant due to the fact the watch face can sit above the water line. I'll probably be trying it on one of my new watches when it needs it. I also like the fact that it has several time settings to choose from, according to how dirty the item is. I would highly recommend the Rayn Ultrasonic Jewelry cleaner! Update Nov. 15, 2013: This is one of the best little investments I've ever made! I've cleaned all my old watches and they look like they have brand new bands. I clean most of my rings on a regular basis and a lot of bracelets and necklaces, too. I would suggest doing a little research on your stones before throwing them in any type of sonic cleaner. I'm no expert on gems, but I understand that all stones have different MOH ratings. If a gem is too soft or chemically enhanced then it's not a good idea to clean it this way. This cleaner always runs perfectly, and I love the fact that it has several settings for the level of dirty I'm trying to clean. I will usually take a soft toothbrush and give my rings a gentle scrubbing with the water and cleaner solution before putting them in my sonic cleaner, in order to loosen up any tough grime from oils and lotions. Every time I use it, I turn it on it's side to dump the water/cleaner solution and then quickly take a paper towel to dry off the edge that I imagine would be the tricky spot for any leaking liquid to get to the internal mechanisms. Review: Great ... UNTIL IT STOPPED WORKING!... and then they kindly REPLACED my unit :) - The product is really worth 5 stars, but I only gave it 1 star because my first and second unit broke: I am so disappointed that this broke tonight AFTER ONLY 3 USES!! I received this product as a gift a few weeks ago. I read the reviews online before I opened the box, and was aware that other users have complained that the product is very sensitive and prone to breaking. So, I read the operating instructions and FOLLOWED THEM TO THE LETTER (not running repeated cycles, letting the machine thoroughly cool down for 10+ minutes to prevent overheating, etc). The results were absolutely brilliant for the 3 times I cleaned my engagement ring. But, tonight, I thought I would clean my ring again and the machine quit in the middle of the FIRST short-time cycle (180 seconds). Literally: out of the box, plugged into my wall, started the cycle, cycle begins to run smoothly, QUIT. I am beyond disappointed!! UPDATE: I contacted the seller about the above issue. I am satisfied with the customer service they provided. My unit was dysfunctional, and they happily replaced my product (shipped it immediately, free replacement, no questions asked). Polite, prompt and professional customer service staff. They were so polite and efficient, and I cannot wait to receive my Rayn in a few days!! SECOND UPDATE: My second unit broke. I have had it a few months and I use it about twice a month. When I plug it in, nothing happens; completely dead. It looks like the unit shorted out. So disappointing.

Great for four months, then a surprise!
Bought this one after all the $30 models crapped out on me, so I doubled down, got this one for $59.95...and it worked great, for four months. Then the display went blank. It didn't get all that much use, either. I am convinced these cleaners are designed to be replaced regularly. Very disappointed. The return policy was only good for one day after I got it. I sent it back, hoping for any kind of refund, but I doubt I'll see a nickel. Here's a revision to the above: Out of the clear blue, I get a call from the Rayn distributor. They are sending me a brand-new unit, no charge. They also offered to refund everything I paid for the first unit. So I am stunned. Here's a company that is very concerned that their customers are satisfied. The fellow that contacted me did not know about the original review until I told him, and I told him I'd write this revision. He said that they had great success with this unit, and was surprised that this one pooped out. But he wasn't nearly as surprised as I was to hear from him, I thought it was a dead issue. Like I said, when this one worked, it worked great. I'll field test the replacement unit and update this review as time goes on. And thanks very much to the distributor/seller of this unit!

Yep - DEAD! It lasted less than 1 1/2 years and less than 2 hours of use
The unit will not turn on as of this morning. No lights - no cleaning - no nothing. No reset button to push. Just DEAD. We only used it a total of 1 1/2 hours of cleaning time. Incredible that a $60 appliance product would not last any longer or provide longer usable life. Yes -it did an incredible job of cleaning while it worked - but key words: "while it worked". Peeved! Buyer BEWARE! It WILL become a door step quickly! I should have believed the reviews. I should have stayed with buying from Costco - they have a forever satisfaction guarantee with unlimited return privileges except on TV's, cameras and Computers - and even then they double the warranty period. Amazon - really???? Update: Via email communications, following my review the Rayne representative agreed to send us a refurbished unit even though it was outside of the warranty period. I have now received the refurbished unit and will return the failed one at his request. I suppose we will see if the second unit lasts more than 1 1/2 hours of use. I would still advise caution to potential buyers given the numerous failures cited in the reviews (including my own) - although the willingness to do "something" for the consumer when the first unit only lasted a year (with only "very infrequent" use) deserves an upgrade from my original one star rating. If the second unit fails, I'll update the review once again.

my jewelry sparkles again!
I recently purchased the Rayn ultrasonic jewelry cleaner after noticing how dirty many of my favorite jewelry pieces had become. I had a very cheap machine in the past that never worked well and in searching for a new one I came across the high ratings on this item. This product is super easy to use and works well. For some pieces that required heavy cleaning I just adjusted the cycle to the longer option. I also found that the fewer items you put in the basket, the better the cleaning. I also noticed on previous reviews that some people said to add a bit of dish detergent to the water. I tried this on one of my rings that was all clogged with lotion and it really worked well. Overall I'd say it was a good buy- not too expensive but definitely gets the job done.

Non -functioning after 10 uses
If this product quit after only 10 uses ( although I have had it for about 2 years) It is always stored in a clean dry environment. I use it infrequently because my jewelry is cleaned regularly at the jewelers. If it had continued to function I would give it a 5 star. It does work well when it works.

Rayn Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner exceeds my expecations
Rayn Ultrasonic Jewelry Cleaner has perdormed very well. I purchased it a month ago using it almost every day. My purpose for buying it was to use in my hobby of bring old tried jewelry back to life. The first few uses I was amazed at the results just using water. After adding jewelry cleaner results where even better. I spent hours reviewing at least 50 other machines and settled on this one. Pros: *Great Price point *Machine has nice size cleaning well *Overall size does not hog work space and stores well *Find it has low noise level *Multi level setting levels are great help *Believe this machine could be used for light commerical use Cons: *Basket is a little difficult to remove quickly..but you soon learn to use fingers at both ends to remove (even the most expensive car still needs to be driven) *Sorry for the price point I really can not think of any other cons to this product Hope this help others to decide on this product. This is the first product I have ever written a review for. That should speak for itself

Pretty freakin' awesome
I wasn't expecting this jewelry cleaner to be nearly as awesome as it is. For years, I've been cleaning my diamond rings by dunking them in a tiny jar of jewelry cleaner and then shining them with a polishing cloth. That practically does nothing for them, and unless I run to the jeweler's every single week, my lovely diamonds look gunky and gross. Then this little machine came along, and WOW, am I impressed. It's super easy to use, and cleans my diamonds 95% as well as any jeweler ever has. I add a tiny bit of dishwashing soap to warm water and set the cleaner to 180 seconds once a week. That's all I need. I've experimented with cleaning other things as well (like my husband's SUPER NASTY plastic hair comb) and have been extremely impressed with the results. If your jewelry is important to you, this great cleaner is worth the $60 investment.
