I absolutely love this microwave heating pad. This is a moist heat, flaxseed-style warmer, and it holds heat significantly longer than an electric heating pad. According to my physician, this type of heat penetrates deeper than electric heat—and I can honestly feel the difference. When I wear this on my lower back, I relax almost instantly and usually fall asleep shortly after. The warmth is soothing, not harsh, it's very sturdy and it does exactly what it’s supposed to do: relieves tension, loosens tight muscles, and promotes deep relaxation. I’ve also been using it on my shoulders with great results. It was highly recommended to me, and now I understand why. This has become a go-to in my self-care and pain-relief routine. I’m already planning to go back and purchase the neck-specific version in the next couple of weeks.

I have a strained back and I get temporary relief from using this heat pad. It is easy to use, provides a comfortable, long lasting heat and it is easy to secure around my back. I am using it several times a day for 20 minutes each time. Nice to know that it is quickly available. I am prone to back problems, usually due to overuse. About a year ago I had purchased the extra long neck wrap from this company via a recommendation from a friend. I thought to myself 'okay.. I will give up my hot water bottle in exchange for this for a while'. I was pleasantly surprised how easy it was to use, how easy it is to microwave, and re-microwave, and the amount of heat that it gives off. No pouring hot water or caps. I even enjoyed the fragrance that came when the product was first opened. Which eventually wore off. Inside I believe is husks, which is biofriendly. The fabric that surrounds the product is very soft, the weight is very nice on the shoulders and back. The product that I had purchased this time with the lower back wrap it fits perfectly around my waist and can wrap and tie itself around with two easy to tie bands. Easy to microwave and again very soft fabric. I highly recommend this company for they are made in the United States. A few things you should know about this you should read the instructions very carefully when heating this product. The heat wrap can burn if you do not follow the heating instructions. So read them when you get the product. You can also make it into a cool pack and the directions for that is to fold the product into a plastic bag and then place the plastic bag in the freezer for 1 hour. This is my second purchase with this company after purchasing the neck wrap. I will definitely recommend this product to anybody.

This was wider and heavier than m previous Mwave heating pad. Takes longer to hear

I owned 3 microwave heating units previously. One is a rough kind of fill (popcorn I think). I don't like it because it is not soft and comfortable so I don't use it. Another is filled with flax seed and is lovely except it has no ties and just is placed so you can't move around but otherwise like it. The third was similar to this one. It was filled with flax seed (my personal favorite). I had it for many months and loved it and used it daily for my painful sciatica. The last and final time I used it, I went to reheat it and must have pressed the wrong timing. A horrible smell filled the air and I ran to the microwave. There was still 7+ minutes on it. Who knows how long I set it for. I know I should have watched it the whole time but being impatient I didn't. I paid the price by losing the pad and having my microwave and house smelling offensively from the burnt product. I really need it so promptly went to Amazon (my lifesaver) and found two more with ties that looked good. The first one came the very next day and I liked the moist heat but the ties were not sufficiently long for my husband's or my waists. It tied but did not stay where we wanted it too. I only hoped the second one I ordered would work well. That one came the next day and fit well with long enough ties for it to stay put. It is comfortable and just a delight to own. I will let my husband share it because it really truly helps. Pain meds don't touch it but this soothes and does help. I'm sorry I didn't order two of these instead of one of each kind but I didn't know the other wouldn't have long enough straps to work as efficiently. However I'm grateful to get such a fantastic replacement and thank you for your wonderful product.

This is by far the best microwave heating pad I’ve owned. I use it daily and follow the instructions for proper use and heating. The customer service for this company is superb and was happy to answer my questions. I love the long straps that help keep it in place. My daughter in law purchased the same one and is equally as happy! ***update*** I had to come back to update my review! Daily use at times morning and evening - by far the best- not just for me but for family members I have gifted this to and for friends and family that have purchased. If you have any questions or concerns about proper usage and heating, the company is so personable and responsive. A plus for customer service.
