Great tasting water. Ace.
We used to buy bottled water because our tap water tasted quite odd. Decided to try this out to cut out on all the wasted plastic bottles. It's amazing, water tastes much better! No more bottled water for us. Easy to fit. One star less for sending unnecessary water pitcher. Could have excluded it and reduced the price instead.

Simple and easy to install.
Very easy to install. I purchased a mixer tap at the same time and fitted both together.

Excellent product.
I have always wanted one of these style water filters but was confused by the varying types on the market. I jumped at the chance to test and review this Kinetico. I actually have a mixer tap in my kitchen and wasn't sure I wanted to either give it up and replace with this tap for cold and put in another for hot or add this tap. Instead a friend has installed it in their kitchen to see if I like it and worth the hassle of changing things - this is what he said ' installation was a bit tricky but I think thats because my sink cupboard is a bit awkward and the pipes are flexible and bent. However, after a lot of figuring I've managed to attached everything and get the filtered tap working. To be honest I don't think I noticed a lot of difference in the quality of water myself but then it was pointed out to me how different the water was while boiling foods. Usually theres a slight 'scum', I live in a soft water area and that happens sometimes when you boil water in a pan. Using water that is filtered theres no scum. I have made fruit teas which do definitely taste better, I think they taste fruitier. Theres a really satisfying feeling know the water is filtered and now I honestly believe its the best system. Long lasting filter, very good product.' I visited my friend and tasted the water and its great, I've made up my mind to replace my mixer tap and put this system in, excellent product.

No leaks, water tastes good. No floaties. Easy install if you have the knowledge
Some people said that the filter was not of enough quality or that it would not filter the necessary impurities. I considered that we live in a metropolitan area where the city water is just about decent. I have to say the results are good: - No solids or visible impurities in the water. This means no "floaties" or "flakes" which is the way people refer to the calcium, manganese or magnesium precipitates that can be seen in cold or room-temp water. Although these precipitates are harmless (they in fact occur naturally in other foods we eat), they taste funky and look rather discouraging to drink. This filter took out all of that. - The taste of the water is great. Even at room-temp, the water is easy to drink and delicious. - the water pressure is quite nice PRO TIP: DO USE plumber's tape (the white one) on all male fittings. This will ensure no leakage. PRO TIP: when i first turned on the water, nothing came out. This was because the filter needed to click when tightening it in. Just make sure its nice and tight. Installation observations: - No leaks whatsoever were observed. - The process was very straightforward. Took us more time to clear out the area under the sink, than it took to install. - We left the filter loose (did not mount with screws) to be able to take it out and replace it easier. PRO’s: - Comes in nice box – nicely pack - Comes with all the fittings depending on your installation - It’s very easy to install if you are a Plummer - If use the supplied parts correctly you won’t have leaks BAD’s: - Installation manual is almost useless – don’t try to follow and DIY if you don’t have plumbing knowledge - It took more than 3 days for the water to come clear (initially was cloudy – but become clear after 3-4 sec), nowhere in manual find it so I had to ask - At this price they could include a plumber tape NEUTRAL: The taste is good but we’re used to brita, and there is a taste difference between both, I can’t say which one is better…
