Is there a tool that can be used to reach water Lily’s in a pond?

I have seen an "ez reach" tool and heard of a pruning tool. I use neither as my pond is small and my plants are readily accessible. Years ago one of my pond sources carried a pruning tool and an "inject-a-tab" tool for placing the fertilizer tabs into the plant pot without getting wet. I have use the following sources for pond supplies: Pond Biz, LilyPons, The Pond Guy.  All have websites.

Anybody ever use this for aquariums?

Instructions for use on the package ONLY talks about pond use and using when the pond water gets over a certain temperature and number of tablets per gallons of soil in plant pot.

This contains copper sulfate which can be quite toxic to plants. Please help me to understand why it is included and what it does not cause problems?

First off, I’m not a chemist but with a little reading I learned a few things. Copper is one of 8 micro nutrients that aid plants in chlorophyll production. Copper is a naturally occurring to help prevent fungus. Plant tabs uses 0.05 % copper, while other brands make a selling point that they do not contain copper. I have had a pond for the last 30 years, always used plant tabs, my pond plants grow vigorously and I’ve never lost a fish due to using it. Fish and frogs spawn in my pond and the babies are not affected. If your not comfortable with this small amount of copper there are brands that do not contain it, but I can say Pond Tabs have been on the market longer than the other brands.

can these be used in soil in the flower garden.?  If so how long might they last?

They are developed for water garden plants that are in water constantly.  I would not use them in soil that is not wet all of the time.  They would not dissolve correctly.  There are several companies that make fertilizer sticks just for garden and potted plants.  Check them out on Amazon.  I was a Master Gardener for years .
