Rambo: 1-5 - DVD

Always a great movie.

I grew up with this character in the background. I guess my dad liked it (Vietnam veteran) but i never really paid it much attention until recently. I saw a piece of part II playing at the gym of all places and decided I'd rather own the series than stream them. My internet isn't strong enough for it. Glad i bought them. Good storytelling for the time. Funnily enough the kids got into watching the first two. Lots of fun discussions about history followed.

Classic sequence good to watch

You don't buy the Rambo 5-Film Collection because you enjoy "movies." You buy it because you need a high-definition reminder that you are a dormant volcano of raw, unbridled grit. ​I don’t even own a Blu-ray player. I keep the box set on my coffee table as a deterrent for solicitors and as a silent challenge to anyone who thinks a "calm discussion" is the solution to every problem. The sheer amount of sweat and gunpowder contained within these discs is enough to lower the property value of your pacifist neighbors while simultaneously raising your testosterone levels to "Aggressive Silverback" status. ​Do I know how to stitch a gaping wound in my own shoulder using nothing but fishing line and a match? No. My wife had to help me with a splinter last Tuesday. But when I hold this collection, I feel like I could disappear into the local park and systematically dismantle a rogue sheriff’s department. Watching this in 4K is like staring directly into the sun of 1980s justice—it hurts, it’s beautiful, and it makes you want to buy a headband and never pay taxes again. ​ ​A warning: your local HOA is not ready for the version of you that emerges after a marathon of these. I walked out to get the mail after First Blood Part II and accidentally stared down a delivery driver so hard he apologized for the weather. The single mothers in the cul-de-sac will start leaving survival rations on your porch. The local police will start nodding to you with a look of "we know you know things." It’s a heavy mantle to wear, but someone has to do it. ​Why Five Films? You watch a man go from "just wanting a bite to eat" to "single-handedly reshaping the geopolitics of Southeast Asia." It’s the ultimate career-arc inspiration. ​Why watch a three-hour period drama about feelings when you can watch a man use an explosive-tipped arrow on a helicopter? One of these options respects your time; the other is a waste of electricity. By the time you get to Last Blood, you’ll realize that sleeves are merely a suggestion and that "grunting" is a valid form of high-level communication. ​I actually had a professional home security consultant come over last month. He started talking about cameras and motion sensors. I just pointed at the Blu-ray spine where Stallone is holding a knife the size of a surfboard. The consultant walked out, cancelled my bill, and left a note that just said, "I'll leave you to your business, Sir." ​This isn't a purchase; it's a declaration of independence. Buy it, hide the remote, and let the ghost of Colonel Trautman guide your soul.

Arrived on time and in good condition. All the movies played, and sound and picture quality was good.

This review is solely for the quality of the discs received and not for the movie quality itself. The discs all played perfectly, no freezing, skipping or scratches. The case was undamaged in shipping. I've bought alot of movies and series from Amazon and have had issues with the DVDs or Blu-rays freezing, skipping or won't play in general. Thankfully this was not the case for this particular listing / seller. Highly recommend

This package needs no applause because if a Rambo fan, you know what to expect. I will kudos to seller for appreciated product, received in perfect condition and ahead of anticipated date! Thank you!

Doesn't work on UK dvd, I have tried continually to contact the seller but have had no response, I purchased this last Nov but it was "packed and un opened" in storage as we moved house, Now I've opened it, and it doesn't work on my bluray dvd UK player. And I have sent 4 messages with ZERO response.

A simple but nice collection of the rambo movies.
