I took a chance and picked this up after having a better than expected experience with the Norris Stadler EMR stylus. I really didn’t think it would be much better than the Kindle scribe basic stylist but I was wrong. Now I’m trying to be careful not to go nuts with aftermarket styluses. Anyway, the Lamy stylus feels great in the hand, looks nice and the side button functionality, which I don’t get on my basics Kindle stylus, is a big improvement. When you’re writing a lot, you need a quick way to erase rather than using the on screen command bar. So I will never go back to a basic stylus. I had a Lamy fountain pen already and I would say the quality is there for this brand. Obviously it does not fit into a typical Kindle scribe protection case, but it is totally worth it to have around. I do agree that the Lamy stylus nib has a unique feel and I actually swapped the nib out for a Kindle nib Which I absolutely prefer more. This is the kind of thing that is hard to explain. Certainly you should not let that stop you from buying the Lamy because you can easily swap out the nib for one that has a feel you prefer. The overall body is better and more comfortable. I happen to get mine when there was a price drop so I feel satisfied with the value for money, though I do think a lot of styluses are overpriced at the moment. Hopefully we will get a much better range of EMR styluses in the future as the fountain pen industry has gotten better priced fountain pens overtime.

I had just lost my SECOND Movink pen, and decided that I didn't want to pay $130 for another one, so I came looking on Amazon for a replacement. I can attest that this pen works PERFECTLY on the Movink...I've been a fan of Lamy's pens for awhile, so this is just the best of both worlds. I'm using ZBrush on a Mac...I'd recommend this pen highly. It even has a nice "rubbery" feel on the screen. I got the smaller diameter one (not the POM). It says that the EMR one is for shiny surfaces, but my Movink has a non-glare surface and it feels fine.

I use this pen every day. I love this pen. I use it on my Boox Tab X. It is a great pen as people have noted. The problem is the cap. For some reason they have chosen to cap the end with a plastic compression cap. Now this cap works great when new, but I've had this pen since 2022 and in that time that compression cap loses it's gusto and starts falling out. This is compounded by the clip. If you pull the clip up, or it snags when putting it in your bag or on a seatbelt as one user on reddit has found out, it acts like a lever pushing down on the internal cap structure that holds your pen in place to keep it from flopping around inside of the cap. This pops the compression cap off. If you don't notice it right away it is just gone. The cap is made up of the clip, Cap housing, cap internal plastic cap, a brass retainer that the plastic compression cap slips into and the compression cap. Over time that compression cap slips out and there is nothing to replace it. If you lose the brass piece then you will have to send the whole pen back for a replacement at the cost of a new pen basically. For losing an insignificant plastic piece. So when you buy the pen save yourself the headache and buy yourself some Chicago Screws Caps. Fill the brass part with glue and place the Chicago screw inside of it and let it dry. Hopefully that will last a ton longer than that plastic cap. If you lose the brass piece you will need to grind the Chicago screw shaft base 6mm down to where the bevel meets the shaft in order to get a usable replacement, but that will actually work! Like it is such a specialized piece I don't know why they didn't just make it a screw and call it a day. Easy fix Like really. As for the pen though it is awesome. Mine is metal so I don't know what people are talking about with flimsy plastic. Lamy also is known for fountain pens which do have plastic casings I have two of those which I don't use nearly as much as this pen. I think they both have plastic casings.

I was skeptical about the price of this stylus, and some people had less than stellar reviews. Don't believe everything you read, people like to complain. I wasn't overly impressed with the packaging, for $52 it should have come with a nice case, but I don't draw with a box. This stylus is, dare I say it, even more accurate than the original s pen, and the nibs feel great on my S6. It comes with two extra nibs, but they didn't send the removal tool. I'm not too concerned about it though, I understand that you can use nail clippers if you're very careful. Overall the feel of the stylus is very ergonomic, the placement of the side buttons is just out of the way enough to prevent accidental presses. The barrel is a nice aluminium cylinder, as is the cap (one of the best ideas I've seen in my quest for a good replacement). It has a very robust round wire clip, and it snaps on nice and tight. I found myself drawing for hours after starting to use this pen. Five stars for quality and comfort. Four for the cardboard box and no tweezers. Overall I would definitely recommend it. Full marks!

Shipping and delivery was relatively quick. I bought a Remarkable 2 and I have been trying to find the best after-market stylus. After some research I tested out 3 different ones. Staedtler Noris Jumbo, Lamy Al-Star, and the Tab 7 SPen (already owned). I ended up keeping all of them. The Lamy Al-Star has a real quality feel and a comfortable ergonomic handling. There is a good weight to the Lamy and it does not feel as thin in my hand as the SPens, allowing me to write or draw longer. The pen came with additional nibs but the Remarkable 2's nibs fit in the Lamy Al-Star perfect, it truly becomes my ideal writing tool for the Remarkable except for one thing. The responsiveness, accuracy, and durability all seem great but the Lamy does not fit in the pen holder for the case I have, the Staedtler does. Both are great but one may work better depending on what you need.

Purchased this to use on my Kindle Scribe. Wanted more of a real pen feeling when taking notes on my Scribe. This emr digital writing stylus is great. The tip/nib feels more like a felt tip marker than the premium stylus that I purchased with my Kindle. So, it is great for notes. I purchased the version with the PC/EL nib (see photo for box). The shape of the stylus is much nicer to write with as it is thicker than the Kindle stylus. And, all of the functionality of the button works as ling as you push the button while in use. I have mine set for the eraser setting so when I need to erase, I just hold the button. Personally, I think it looks great too. My use for the LAMY will be for notes and will in tandem with my amazon stylus for other Scribe functions.

The Goods: - Weight is solid as I'm quite the heavy writer - Tip Size is right where it's perfect for precision and writing. - The comfort of this stylus is unmatched than any other EMR stylus I have used, it's fantastic. The Bad: - Despite the cost of the pen it began to fall apart for me. I have lost the button and the clip is alot more loose than it should be. - I keep the pen in my tablet case, which does get thrown around like a punching bag so I'm unsure how this damage occured. I wish my pen didn't get beat up, as I brought this only a few months back. It didn't even last a year in my hands.

Five stars because it does feel good in the hand. The writing experience on the Supernote Manta and the Viwoods AI Paper is excellent. In fact, I like it a bit better than the Lamy pen with ceramic tip (which is a standard pen choice with Supernote). I will say that the balance takes a few moments to get used to. The black Lamy, which is the one I’m reviewing, is taller than the Supernote Lamy. If the pen could push in a bit more into the cap, that would be nice. At first, I was put off. But, now I don’t notice it. I like the softer tip on the black Lamy, but that is user preference.

I was a bit frustrated with the pen that comes with the Onyx Boox Note Air. The software is great, but the pen was a bit slippery and it's magnets were too weak so it often fell off the side of the tablet, ultimately getting damaged. The Lamy seemed like a good alternative, and it is. Pros: - Better nibs: the Lamy has a better feel on the glass screen of the Note Air. It feels like a felt-pen rather than a slippery piece of plastic. That makes writing easier. - Better sensitivity: the Lamy can register very light strokes as very thin lines, and heavy strokes much thicker. The standard Note Air stylus has maybe half the sensitivity range in practice. - Erase button: the button on the Lamy is well positioned (if a little hard to find) and works perfectly as an eraser, making the Note Air's note taking software even smoother to operate. - High Quality: the aluminium body of the Lamy is light (I initially thought it was plastic) and strong, and the lid protects the pen when you're not using it. The pocket clip is also very strong. - Comfortable: the thickness of the Lamy body and the sculpted shape of the nib area of the pen is all nice and comfortable in use. Cons: - Storage: without magnets, and very chunky, the Lamy has no natural storage place on the Note Air or its case. Fortunately, the clip is strong enough to clip the Lamy to your bag or shirt or whatever, just like a normal pen. - Price: I think the Lamy is decent value, but it's more than $0 extra, which is what the standard pen costs you. Having said that, I think the Lamy is a decent investment for its usability across multiple platforms, including Chromebooks, Samsung phones and tablets, other e-notes, and WACOM pads. Conclusion: If you have a Note Air and you use the pen at all for note taking or sketching, this is worth buying: it will certainly improve your experience of the Note Air.

I bought this because my hand has been painful recently. I realised I had been jabbing the screen quite hard using my finger. This stylus changes the way the hand is used, which is beneficial. It doesn't work on some links in the email, but generally it is good. I still prefer to scroll with my fingers. I tried a rubber tipped stylus, but this is gentler. Unfortunately it doesn't fit into the stylus slot on the tablet cover. Best keep the dog away from it. I like the bright colour, it's easier to find.

This was an investment, as it's expensive for a tablet stylus. However, from experience I think it's worth every penny. Two reasons: a) It's by far the best stylus I've used with my re:Markable2 tablet. It actually feels like using a pen on paper, and you can write at normal handwriting speed with it, unlike the many cheap £10-£15 stylii out there. This alone makes it worth it, as it actually makes writing on the re:Markable a pleasure. b) It's WAY more comfortable to hold inthe hand than the thin "stick" stylii that fill the chap end of the market. Not a big deal for a few scribbles, but using those things gets tiresome if you're writing out a brain dump over many pages. Infact it's like writing with a decent rollerball pen, such as the ArtLine's, which are particularly pleasurable to write with. If I had one minor criticism, it's that the clip is a bit too big to fit on the side of the folio case I have for my re:Markable. However, that's a personal preference as I travel a lot, and if I used it only at home, or I had a case with a place to clip it to, it's not a big deal, and can be remedied by buying a case that has this (I bought my case before buying the stylus). On the bonus side, it also comes with two replacement nibs, which is even better as I chose this because I'd already read that the nibs are long lasting. Summary: Expensive, but worth it. If you have a re:Markable2, you'll enjoy using this stylus with it.
