I forget how many packs of these I've used, but they always work. No, I think I had only one leak on me, but that was my fault, I ran it through the washer and dryer. Yeah, my fault. Otherwise, they work as advertised! Get these pens, they are keepers! Once I accidentally stuck one in my pocket after signing something. My boss came back sometime later looking for it. It was then I realized the power of these pens, now I only buy these. Pilot pens are renown for simply working, and working well. They really should pay me for saying this, but I've gone through so many fancy metal, wooden, fat, thin, short, feathered, novel, plastic, and throw-away pens. I had a cup full of pens that were out of ink that I collected because they looked nice. The kind with water and a little ship that sails when you turn it on it's tip, remember those? One metal one with a watch in it, an ergonomic one, but alas, they were all out of ink, but I kept them for the memories. After using Pilots, I went through an awakening and threw all of those other pens away. The ink in those others struggled to stick to the page, or even come out of the pens. I had to press hard and my hands ached. Fatigue when writing makes writing no fun. Now, I don't know what kind of space-age technology they funneled into these things, but they simply work. You're not going to be writing on the ceiling with them, but under normal circumstances, I don't have to wait for the ink to be present when I write. No more whipping the pen back and forth to get the last little bit to flow. It's like it's under a little pressure till the last drop, no air bubbles. It writes like it's worth a thousand dollars, but when it's done, you can throw it away (or recycle it) with a good conscience. Try it, you'll like it. That'll be the last pen brand you'll buy.
