Sinus Rinse 16oz Extra Large Bottle

I am a huge fan of this product. It is simple, drug-free and it is better than a neti pot. If you have ever had a sinus infection, you know how hard they are to cure, and sometimes the antibiotics are almost as bad an experience as the infection. If you use this product as soon as you get a sinus headache or congestion, YOU MAY NEVER HAVE ANOTHER sinus infection. It really works. The inventor of this product has really done a public service. My husband and I change ours out every few months or so. We like the large size and use two envelopes of the salt packets. Use distilled water. I like to warm mine a bit in the microwave. After each use I clean the nozzle with a bit of rubbing alcohol. You never have to be plagued with sinus infections again.

My husband uses this often and he loved the size of the bottle. It’s a bit bigger than the ones we find in the pharmacy section at our local drug store.

I use this big bottle and two packets of sinus rinse powder and get a great rinse. Much cheaper than the Navage System and probably as effective! You should see what emerges!

My husband uses this daily to help keep his allergies under control. Make your own salt mixture, equal parts table salt and baking soda. I use one teaspoon of the mix for the whole bottle. Be sure to use cooled boiled water.

It works but I found that I prefer the standard size bottle. The standard size has plenty of capacity for my sinuses.

This product is a definite MUST-HAVE!!!! If you like the benefits of a sinus rinse and are accustomed to using the widely available 8oz bottle, then make the investment and get this upgraded bottle. There's no going back to the little league after using this whopper-sized 16oz bottle! Seriously, I chucked the tiny bottle out! + When you have more saline at your disposal, you simply get a much better wash! 8oz is simply not enough solution to get a thorough cleaning. At least for my big honker! + This bottle provides the same water pressure as the smaller bottle. In fact you still have to squeeze the bottle just as gently to prevent clogging your ears. + You pretty much have to fill this bottle once to get a good rinse from both sides. The routine of refilling the tiny bottle to wash the other nostril gets old pretty quickly. - The only real negative point is that this 16oz bottle is pretty fat compared to the tiny 8oz bottle, so storing this thing can be a pain in a small bathroom. Some options for nasal irrigation: 1) Use non-iodized sea salt instead of buying the pre-packaged salt packets. It's cheaper and easy to use. I use this brand since it's widely available in Hawaii stores Hawaiian White Sea Salt From Hawaii Islands - 2lb Bag . I just eye-ball the same amount of sea salt as the Neilmed packets. Don't worry if you put in a little more salt than that. It usually makes for a better cleansing. 2) I just recently discovered Alkalol - A Natural Soothing Nasal Wash, Mucus Solvent and Cleaner Kit - with Cup, 16-Ounce on Amazon. Add a little bit of this stuff to your saline mix. Alkalol turbocharges your ordinary saline solution and really helps to clear the junk out! It's pretty potent so start off slowly with this product. 3) If you simply prefer to do the Neti-pot instead of the Sinus Rinse Bottle, get this one Stainless Steel Neti-Pot for Sinus Congestion (Ayurvedic JalNeti) . It's pricy compared to the cheapy pots, but it's worth it. The metal pot keeps your saline solution at a consistent temperature and the big mouth opening makes it easy to add your sea salt mix (and Alkalol) inside. Hope this review was helpful to you.
