We used Palmolive ECO (containing bleach) regularly for something like 20 years so it was awful when they discontinued it. We've looked high and low and there is apparently no dishwasher detergent containing chlorine bleach still available in the US market (except for some obscure commercial-grade products). This version of Finish is just as effective as Palmolive ECO, though. Some of the photos uploaded here show bleach listed as an ingredient in Finish; however, having bought this, we can confirm that Finish stopped including bleach at some point over the last few years, but the bleach alternatives it now contains seem just to work just as well as chlorine bleach. The bottles we got were shipped with tape around the cap so they couldn't come open. The product also leaves no perceptible odor or flavor after the wash. We'll be buying more.

This is a UPDATE! My dishwasher was not working properly prior to the following review: I no longer have a sudsing problem and I can PROUDLY say: I strongly recommend Finish Liquid with Lemon. I can now run MOST after dinner cycles on a 1 hour cycle and my dishes are spotless”. I am completely in agreement with the person who recommended this product and it doesn’t react with my cook wear causing that AWFUL oxidation which I had to separate and wash again or either wash by hand. What a bummer! The Finish doesn’t cause that! This product was recommended as a product that would not suds up my dishwasher in comparison to the new formula of Cascade Platinum Plus Pods that I’ve been using for a long time. I understand this is a problem for many people. This product also causes suds to form during the wash cycle. But a positive is that it doesn’t cause the smut oxidation to form on my cookware. So it is a trade off. This liquid is not as efficient in cleaning. If the pods did not form the smut, I would return to them. It’s going to be a higher cost per use than the pods also.

Excellent- Don't use pods, they leave toxic residue on your dishes. I only use liquids..

I have been using this Finish Gel dishwasher detergent for a long time and overall I am happy with it. It does a good job cleaning everyday dishes, cups, and silverware. Most food stains come off without any problem, even when the dishes sit in the dishwasher for a while before running a cycle. The gel is easy to pour. The reason I am giving it 4 stars instead of 5 is because it does not always remove very tough baked on food from pots and casserole dishes. For those items, I sometimes need to rinse them first or run a heavier wash cycle. For regular daily use, this detergent works well and offers good value for the price.

Finish Gel Liquid Dishwasher Detergent is truly a powerful cleanser. After Cascade teamed up with Dawn and left me with a dishwasher interior streaked blue, I looked for a new detergent brand. I had tried two store brand liquids which left a very dirty interior over time, Finish pods which gave me dishes that were chemical-smelling, and Clean People pods that didn't have a plastic sheath but also left a dirty interior. Was all hope lost? No. I ran enough loads with Finish Gel to use about half the bottle, and the white interior of the dishwasher is white again! Since it is cleaning the dishwasher itself, I trust that my dishes are clean and not just from pre-washing. Lemon is a gentle scent. Thank you, Finish!

This is great, it actually works like my previous ones did before their so called improvements! This is the real deal, it removes all the hard ones, like repeated coats of dried on coffee stains and all the other difficult ones. I just hope they don't make formula changes and ruin it just to try to increase sales.

Overall, I’ve been happy with this dishwasher detergent. The price is reasonable, and a little goes a long way, so the bottle lasts quite a while in my household. The gel is easy to use, and my dishes generally come out clean with very little effort. It does a good job on everyday loads and has been a convenient option compared to some other detergents I’ve tried. The only reason I’m not giving it a perfect rating is that I occasionally notice water spots or drying marks on some dishes after the cycle is finished. To be fair, I’m not completely sure whether this is caused by the detergent itself, my dishwasher, or possibly the water in my area. Because the cleaning performance has otherwise been good, I haven’t considered it a major issue, but I thought it was worth mentioning for other buyers.

This is a good brand. But the Supplier did not stick to the promised date of delivery by Amazon. He took his own time to deliver

It doesn't work well with LG dishwasher and its too big a bottle now stuck with it.
