Make sure you calibrate the new joycons
Color was more pink than red compared to my mario edition switch. But joycon worked really well after calibration in the controller settings!

Imperfect calibration, but pretty good
Based on the calibration program on the Switch, my unit pulls slightly downward when not in use. That said, the threshold is so minor that most games aren't picking up on it, and at least now I can actually click my thumbstick again. All-in-all not a bad product, and sure as hell beats the price of buying a new Joycon. Note, however, that this requires some tech-savvy to install; if your product is still within warranty and you're not comfortable gutting your Joycon I would not recommend this as a solution.
