Righteous teen comedy starring Alicia Silverstone as Cher, Beverly Hills high school student and pampered daughter of a widowed lawyer, who tries to help her classmates and family with romance and fashion advice, while eventually coming to examine the problems in her own seemingly perfect life. Stacey Dash, Brittany Murphy, Paul Rudd, Donald Faison, and Dan Hedaya co-star in director Amy Heckerling's hit film (based on, of all things, Jane Austen's "Emma"). 97 min. Widescreen; Soundtrack: English. Review: Clueless looks amazing in 4K UHD - (5 stars for the film, 4.5 stars for the 4K UHD release) "Clueless" from 1995 is a bona fide comedy classic. Featuring a star making performance by 18 year old Alicia Silverstone, who is incredibly gorgeous & sexy, as Cher Horowitz, a tremendous supporting cast, snappy direction & editing as well a highly quotable script. It is one of the best and most memorable films from the 90's in my opinion and still makes me laugh and smile throughout. Paramount brings "Clueless" to 4K UHD for its 30th anniversary in both a standard slipcover edition (which is what I bought) and an desertcart exclusive steelbook. While Paramount can be a bit of a wildcard in terms of the quality of their 4K transfers, I can safely say that they knocked it out of the park with the 4K transfer of "Clueless". Featuring both HDR10 and Dolby Vision (I watched the latter), the film has never looked better. Where the movie truly soars is with the Dolby Vision grading that allows the movie's colorful nature to truly shine. That much celebrated scene with Alicia in a very tight & sexy red dress is a perfect example of how Dolby Vision really helps the visuals truly shine. While there is an noticeable uptick in fine detail on the 4K UHD 2025 release compared to the 2012 standard bluray (which is also included in this set), the big benefit of the 4K UHD release is due to Dolby Vision. If your TV and/or 4K player are only HDR10 compatible, need not worry as the film still looks amazing, though Dolby Vision kicks it up a noticeable notch. Sadly no new extras were produced for this 30th anniversary 4K UHD release with all special features being on the included standard bluray from 2012. At least everything was ported from the prior special edition bluray release though a 30 years later retrospective with some people involved with the film would have been nice. "Clueless" looks amazing in 4K UHD and comes highly recommended! Review: Worth the upgrade - The 4K release of Clueless looks stunning—colors are vibrant, the fashion shines, and the soundtrack is crisp. A timeless teen classic that’s never looked better.

Beautiful Packaging but No New Special Features
Personally I think this move is okay and obviously that is subjective - as for the quality of the picture it is top notch, the colors really pop in HDR. The packaging itself is stunning on the holographic/iridescent slip cover. My only complaint is that for a 30th anniversary they couldn't find anyone for a new interview or special feature? That left me a bit disappointed.
