Does tbis come with the pencil or do i buy it separately?

It does NOT comes with a pencil. Just a ton of leads.

Is the lead dark when you write like with the brand bic? Or is it a light faint grey?

0.3. .good for drafting and comics...fine point and medium dark 0.2 .darker. ..= hard 0 5 for normal use. Use this one for every day use...HB Hope that helps

How long are the pieces of lead?

They are exactly 2-3/8 inches long. I do not work for this company nor do they give me anything for promoting them. However, I have 3 teenage boys and with all this homeschooling do to the Covid-19. I absolutely love these. Shipping was extremely fast, I have been using these for a couple of weeks with no problems. I definitely recommend this purchase.
