This 3M Headlight Restoration Kit worked better than I expected. It was easy to follow the instructions, and my cloudy, yellowed headlights became much clearer after using it. The kit includes everything needed for the job and gives great results for the price. It made a noticeable difference in both the appearance of my car and nighttime visibility. I highly recommend it! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

I have not tried every restoration system out there, so I cannot state that this is the best system, but I can tell you that this is a solid solution that you will be happy with. To level set, no restoration kit will ever restore your headlight lenses to factory new condition. But this one gets them close. For the same reasons, I cannot state that this kit is the best value, but I can say that anything that works well at any price is a better value than something that does not work well at a lower price. One of the chief complaints of headlight restoration kits is that the restoration does not last. That's because most of the kits out there attempt to "fill in" the scratches, and eventually that filler washes out, disintegrates, or whatever. This kit actually polishes the plastic to *remove* the scratches. As such, the process takes longer and is more fiddly. The extra effort though results in a better looking and longer lasting result. I bought this kit 2 years ago, and my headlights look as good as the day I finished using the kit. The results you will get will depend on your patience and your willingness to understand and follow the instructions exactly. Read the directions carefully, do exactly what they say, for as long as they say. I spent - if I recall - about 45 minutes on each headlight. - Your headlights will look much worse initially, and you may think you are doing more harm than good. Don't be paranoid. Complete the course, finish all the steps. Once you get through the first two grits, each step after that will look better and better. - The instructions will warn you to avoid lingering in one spot with the power drill. That warning worried me, but it's really easy to avoid, and you can tell when you're doing it right. Be gentle, don't push too hard, and keep moving. - It may also look like they haven't given you enough of the different polishing pads, but my headlights are huge and I had extras. - Mask carefully, because you will run off the edge of the headlights and you don't want to scratch your paint. If you wear down the masking tape, stop and apply more. - When it comes time to wipe on the polymer, again, do it exactly as they tell you. Exactly. You only get just enough to get it done and you only get one shot to make it look right. Make sure you are fully prepped before tearing open the packet. - Do this in a garage or in the shade. Anyway, that's my advice. You won't be disappointed with this kit.

My 13 year old truck had terrible looking headlights. They were only slightly yellow, but were so cloudy that you could no longer see inside the headlight. I saw a review on the YouTube channel Project Farm rating this as a good buy and decided to give it a try. It was not difficult to work through the steps (especially after watching a tutorial video online) but it did take me a bit longer than the 40 minutes stated on the box. But, it did a great job and it looks great! The finish is almost like new and I didn't need to purchase new headlight fixtures! I'd recommend this to anyone and I'd happily purchase this again. I have a minivan that's not looking bad yet, but when needed, I'll use this 3M product to restore those headlights, too.

This kit worked really well and brought my headlights back to life. The instructions were easy to follow, and I’m happy with the results. My only suggestion would be to include a thicker masking tape. The tape that’s included is a bit thin, so if you’re not careful, the sandpaper can accidentally touch and scratch your car’s paint around the headlights. Using a thicker tape would provide better protection and make the process even safer. Overall, it’s a great product, and I would definitely recommend it.

Time consuming but worth the effort, both headlights came out clear and looked great, if you have about 2 hours for each headlight this product works!

My mom's Rav4 headlights were getting hazy/yellow, and she said visibility wasn't great. She was quoted $40 by Sam's Club for the light restoration for what I can only assume would've been just an okay outcome. For the price of this kit, thought I'd give it a shot, especially since the other reviews were stellar. Figured the worst that would happen is we'd have to get it done in a shop if it didn't turn out great. It definitely took longer than the advertised 40m. I expect it would probably take most people 1.5-2h, which is what most people seemed to be saying. However, if I was going to do it, I wanted to make sure it was done well, so I spent close to 3 hours on it, all told. Used all sanding pads but one 500 grit. Had to switch hands a few times because my hand was aching from the constant pressure and holding the trigger down. First few 500 grit passes removed much of the yellowing, which gunked up the pads relatively quick. I wiped them off as I went to keep it from smearing the residue all over. As other reviews mention, I would've preferred a second 3000 grit pad. Didn't have issues with just one, but it would certainly be nice to start with a fresh one for each light. Picture is a screenshot of the photos I took throughout the process. From the bottom up: 1. Before photo, just after taping. I popped the hood so I didn't have to tape it off. 2. After 500 grit stage. 3. After 800 grit stage. 4. & 5. After 3000 grit stage, but it getting dark. Brought it in the garage for a better shot. 6. & 7. After the first clear coat wipe and then the second wipe. I thought they were clear when I was done with the 3000 grit, but was blown away after I applied the wipes. I definitely recommend!

One of those things I wish I did way earlier. Makes car look like new. Easy, hard to mess up. Good instructions

Monday mornings driving home from night shift were getting sketchy bc my 10‑year‑old Corolla headlights were so cloudy. I grabbed this kit on a day off and did it in my apartment parking lot. Took maybe an hour and a half with breaks. The sanding discs feel a little scary at first, but once I saw that hazy layer coming off I was weirdly satisfied. I just followed the steps, used the masking tape so I didn’t chew up the paint, then wiped on the wax at the end. First drive to work after, i actually turned my lights off and on a few times just to admire how much brighter they looked. Super glad I did it myself instead of paying a shop.

First time user of drill polish. Instructions are very clear and the results were amazing.

Die gute Nachricht ist, es funktioniert. Insbesondere das Coating korrigiert die letzten Fehler, die im Scheinwerferglas noch sichtbar sind. Um genauer zu arbeiten, wäre gerade es bei einem größeren Scheinwerfer sinnvoll, wenn man mit den Schleifpads nicht so knauserig wäre. Schließlich kostet das Set dann doch einiges an Geld, aber zwei Pads pro Arbeitsgang mehr wären schon eine Beruhigung. Dazu halte ich ein Polierpad und eine Headlight Politur für sinnvoll, wenn es richtig gut werden soll. Mit den beiden Coating Tüchern kann man auch die Rückleuchten behandeln. Die Menge reicht dafür aus. Es macht also Sinn, die Rückleuchten vorab zu reinigen, bevor man mit dem Coating anfängt. Der beiliegende Gummihandschuh ist eine gute Idee und auch notewndig, zwei wären besser. Meine Empfehlung: Alle Arbeitsgänge naßschleifen.

I couldn't believe how effective this product was , got rid of the yellow cloudy marks off the lights, and easy to do. Would definitely recommend and purchase again if needed to
