Brilliant band
If you like roots, blues and rock this album, in fact I’d say the band is one to listen to. Check out their other album it’s brill

Disappointed.... but still musically superb!
Atlantic/Elektra have screwed them! Their album A/B was superb! But the mixing on this is a bloody travesty. A/B was real guitar-driven blues-rock à la Led Zeppelin and The Allman Brothers Band. But on Surface Sounds the guitar is pushed way back in the mix. The drums over-power..... and hey what do you know, the producer often was the drummer. UPDATE: a grower. Wonderful... but still I miss the driving guitar.

Avoid this pressing... I'm tired to buy this vinyl again and again and again.. bacause all of them are pressed really bad..

素晴らしいアルバムです。 新しくて、でもどこか懐かしいメロディ。 やはりこのバンドは期待を裏切らない。 骨太のヴォーカルがとにかく渋くて上手い。 ここまで聴かせるヴォーカルは日本では皆無です。 １９７０年代のサザンロックを彷彿とさせる音でありながら、 新しさも併せ持つ。 youtubeでこのバンドのブルースのカヴァーを聴いたが、 オリジナルを超える素晴らしいヴォーカルに圧倒された。 youtubeの動画も必聴です。
