This juicer is really good. It looks great, is ergonomic, and feels very sturdy. It works well and is built to last. I'm so happy with it that I plan to buy another one.

I love this KitchenAid Citrus Juice Press. It makes squeezing lemons and limes so much faster and easier than doing it by hand, just a quick press and the juice is ready to go. The seed catcher is such a helpful feature since I never have to worry about seeds ending up in my recipes or drinks. The pour spout also makes it really convenient to pour the juice straight into whatever I'm cooking or mixing without any mess or extra dishes to clean. At 8 inches, it's a great size, sturdy enough to handle the pressing without feeling flimsy, but still compact enough to store easily in a drawer. This has become a go-to tool anytime a recipe calls for fresh lemon or lime juice. Highly recommend if you want an easy, mess-free way to juice citrus.

Yes, it is and it tastes delicious with just a little effort and no time at all. This is a great squeezer. Ingenious design with flat bottom allows you to leave on your counter when squeezing instead of gripping with both hands. The juice collects in a small bowl beneath the strainer bowl and is very easy to pour into a second container for use. This is great for our home bar and cocktail hour. We have used it regularly for a few months and it seems very durable, even with the plastic body. The bowl fits 1/2 limes and most lemons, small oranges cut in 1/2 and larger oranges or lemons in 1/4s. The strainer bowl collects seeds but not 100% of pulp so I use a mesh strainer when pouring into another container. Cleaning is easy and can be done in dishwasher. If you are interested in the great taste of fresh squeezed citrus at a really fast pace with no worries about mess, I highly recommend this squeezer.

We've taken to juicing a lemon in our water first thing each morning, and were using this quaint little tea bird that squeezes wedges presumably into your tea. That gets tedious fast. So, I did a search for the best affordable hand citrus squeezer. OXO has a very nice one that lingered in our Amazon basket and got searched on ebay, but while there are all manner and price range of squeezers out there, I had to hunt for the one you squeeze and pour - KitchenAid. It presses the citrus against a strainer and into a nice "hopper" that catches all the drippy juices, then you can pour neatly into a bottle or over avocados or into your glass. Give it a good rinse or a quick wash. Ta-da. The other benefit is it has little feet that keep it level so you can press into the countertop instead of holding it to give those lemon and lime ends a powerful squeeze. It isn't cheap for a "mono-tasker," and it will demand some drawer space, but it does a nice, tidy job, is very sturdy and well-made - a tool made to last.

Well-made citrus juicer that is easy to use and cleverly designed. There is a pour spout on the side making it easy to use every last drop of juice. I should have bought it years ago to save time and energy.

I already own both a manual lemon squeezer and a manual lime squeezer, but when this KitchenAid item went on sale I wanted to give it a try and see how it compared. Mostly I was interested in the "hopper", as they call it (the collection bowl with the pour spout). I like the KitchenAid model, but I'm also disappointed with it at the same time. PROS: + The juice collects in the hopper, eliminating the need for an intermediate vessel to catch the juice. + The middle section (the strainer) has several concentric "ledges" on it to add support to the rind when squeezing. + Those same ledges also accommodate varying diameters of fruit; you can squeeze anything from limes to (small) oranges. + The "lay flat" design allows the user to apply much more force to the fruit when squeezing. + The handle opens 180 degrees (vs 90), which is more user-friendly and also makes for easier cleanup. CONS: - The bottom & middle sections are made of a composite material (i.e. not all-metal construction). - Although the holes in the strainer seem tiny, they still somehow allow a lot of pulp to pass through. That's fine if you're making lemonade, but for anything else you might want to use a secondary mesh strainer when pouring. - Additionally, the pulp/seeds that _are_ trapped by the strainer block the holes, preventing some (a little bit) of the juice from passing through. - Juice can seep out the side of the press when squeezing. Doesn't seem to be an issue when pouring, however. - No instructions are included. A first-timer might not realize that you're supposed to put the fruit in cut side down. - No hanging ring. - The KitchenAid press is big & awkward (big widthwise). On the one hand, the wider bowl accommodates larger fruit, but you still have to store the gadget in a drawer/cabinet somewhere. Overall this is a good press, and the "lay flat" design--which seems to be unique to this model--has turned out to be one of its best advantages, allowing the user to really get his/her weight into it instead of relying solely on hand strength alone (an exceptional feature for arthritic people also). I think you're paying a lot more for the KitchenAid name, but there _are_ some innovations in this squeezer that you won't find in the budget models. If you can get it during a decent sale, I say go for it. ***** UPDATE (12/27/2024): One of the 'cons' listed above is that the tool is not all-metal construction. Having used the tool much more now, and doing a lot of thinking about it, I've come to the conclusion that maybe--just maybe--the reason the lower half is made of composite material is to save your countertops; i.e. to prevent marring your good countertops while you bear down with all your body weight when squeezing. I think I'm going to give Kitchenaid the benefit of the doubt on this one, and concede that the composite bottom might be a feature when taking advantage of the lay flat design. I'm not 100% convinced of it, but it seems like a reasonable justification that I hadn't considered previously. ***** Bonus: I mentioned there are no instructions included, so here they are in a nutshell. 1. Lay the press on a countertop and open the top metal section only. 2. On a separate cutting board, cut your fruit in half crosswise. 3. Place the fruit CUT SIDE DOWN on the middle section of the press (the strainer). 4. Slowly close the top portion of the press onto the fruit. As you close the top, the large metal protrusion pushes the rind through the flesh, basically trying to turn the fruit inside out. 5. Pour out the juice. 5a. TIP: I think the strainer limits the hopper's capacity (the strainer sits inside the hopper) and some juice gets trapped in the strainer on the first pour. So lay the press flat on the counter again (or just level it while you're holding it), give it a gentle squeeze and pour again. 6. Open the top section and remove the expended rind from the strainer. Also remove any seeds/pulp remaining in the strainer.

I've been totally devoted to my 3 chef'n citrus squeezers (green, yellow, & orange) since they first came out. Now that I'm older & creakier, I "test-drove" something new & reportedly less strenuous to use, and AM I IMPRESSED! The built-in catch-cup AND strainer, plus resting the squeezer on the counter rather than hoisting and balancing it over a separate receptacle, makes it easier to incorporate fresh citrus juice in recipes without wearing myself out. The smaller, more compact footprint is also useful when kitchen-downsizing time rolls around. Time will tell re: sturdiness, but the build appears very solid to me.

I absolutely love this KitchenAid Juice Press Squeezer! So much better than any of the other citrus squeezers that I’ve used in the past. A little on the heavy side but well made. Love the strainer feature that is assembled within. It is everything you need to extract juices from lemons and limes. A great value and Highly recommend!
