Each kit includes. . . . - Reusable temperature & turbidity meters - 3x Fecal coliform bacteria tests (vials are NOT reusable due to safety/contamination concerns) - 10x D.O. tests - 10x B.O.D. tests (The D.O. and BOD tests use the same tablets, there are 40 tablets in the kit, each test uses 2 tablets) - 10x nitrate tests - 10x pH tests - 10x Phosphate tests

How is BOD measured with this kit and what is the scale/gradation?

BOD is measured in this kit by using tablets and then comparing the tube to a color chart. It is important to note taht after a sample is taken it must be stored in one of the foil sleeves for FIVE days before adding the tablets. The DO readings are at 0 ppm, 4 ppm, and 8 ppm.

How many vials are in the kit? For example, I would need to purchase for a class of 30 students and need to know how many full kits to buy.

In terms of vials, this kit contains: 3x coliform tablets w/ 3x coliform bottles 2x small glass bottles (reusable) for DO and BOD 4x 10mL plastic test tubes (reusable) for Nitrate, pH and Phosphate tests 1x outer packaging jar used for Turbidity It also contains 10 tests for pH, Dissolved Oxygen, BOD, Nitrate & Phosphate.

What size is the bucket that comes with the kit?

The bucket is small about a 4 cup capacity
