ONE R 1-Inch Edition Co-Engineered – 5.3K 30fps Action Camera with 1-Inch Sensor, 4K 60fps, Stabilization, IPX8 Waterproof, 19MP

I used to have the Insta360 ONE X, but I always wished it could do more, like record in regular 4k and use an external microphone for better audio, and that it had a better screen with more options. Looks like Insta360 was listening 'cause they fused an action camera with their best 360 camera and a bunch of awesome features on top. Now, I can use my ONE R as a 360 camera, an action camera, or even as a vlogging camera with the tripod and external mic adapter. The 360 video is still very clean and the selfie stick gets completely removed with near-perfect stitching. One of my favourite features is the modular system that lets me swap out the lens with the 360 mod, 4k lens, or the 1-inch Leica sensor, which produces great quality video with excellent stabilisation. It's noticeably better than the 4k lens. I can even point the viewfinder screen towards me so I can see what I'm recording. The mobile and desktop apps are very easy to use in re-framing 360 videos and creating special effects. I haven't tested this, but the camera can also be used to livestream videos and as a webcam. Physically, the camera is very well-built and sturdy despite being made up of multiple parts. I wish the standard battery also had the mount built-in like the Boosted battery, but the mounting bracket is needed for that. I also really appreciate that it's waterproof out of the box without an extra case. I'd recommend the ONE R to anyone who wants to create or learn 360 videos as well as regular/wide-angle videos with a single system and carry less equipment. The package is great value.

I loved the concept of this camera but unfortunately, I didn't really get a chance to give it much of a try. A quick walk around the block and the camera got really hot and locked up on me. After having to disassemble the camera to get it out of the mounting bracket (more on this in a sec) so I could remove the battery to turn it off, the interface wouldn't allow me to preview the video. It was completely unusable. I thought I'd try it the next day and it worked for one video then started glitching out again. I was using one of the suggested memory cards as well. The design on this is really poor. I bought the 1-inch lens version and the lens cover covers 1/4th of the tiny touch screen making it really hard to use the swipe interface. It feels very delicate and doesn't look like it would hold up to any amount of bumps. There is a small gap between the battery and the lens/body you can actually see daylight through. The touchscreen user interface was really confusing. It was pretty frustrating just trying to figure out how to get it into a shooting mode. You control the camera by swiping into different modes but it's hard to swipe on such a small screen. In order to get the camera in and out of the casing (remember, this battery only lasts about an hour at best), you have to unscrew the lens protector. Since the unit is so tiny and delicate, I couldn't imagine having to do this in the middle of a shoot. It's also really hard to access the charging compartment with the mounting bracket on it. Last was the fact that it didn't come with any type of case or lens cap. Come on, guys. It's a $300 lens that sticks half an inch out of the body of the camera. Adding a .50 piece of plastic wouldn't have killed the premium price on this. I'm sure I could have returned this and gotten a less glitchy camera but the design flaws, cheap design, and questionable durability would have made me return this anyway. I'm excited to see what this design has for future versions once they've fixed some of these issues but you'll probably want to steer clear of this.

I do a lot of skydiving and it's amazing to be able to fly around and look wherever you want, film multiple people, and most of all stay safe by looking where you are going instead of what you are filing! The 1" is amazing in low light. we did an amazing night jump and we've never been able to film it this well before. This has opened up a whole new way of filming action sports ! The days of multiple cameras to make sure you get the angle and shot are gone ! This camera will catch everything (even behind the scenes at the same time !) I will say, it's a learning curve to edit the 360 video, but once you get a hang of it.. it's truly amazing! I couldn't be happier (and I have had almost every edition of the GoPro)

This camera is working out really well ..been on 10 hikes and its doing its job..you notice the 1 inch sensor is crystal clear ...doesn't look like Gopro footage when all is edited and uploaded..my video of me using the camera is on my YouTube channel and i got this to use as my main yt camera..going well lol

I've been looking into the Insta360 cameras for a while and have been very tempted to get a 1-Inch after hearing tons of good things about it. I'm an outdoor lover, especially underwater sports. So I've been looking for an action camera that is rugged and can offer high image quality both on land and underwater. I saw ONR R had some major updates on several features earlier this month, one of which was "AquaVision": which is a magical color correction technology that balances underwater color. When I saw the underwater footage comparison, I was JUST BLOWN AWAY! It was sooo natural and JUST beautiful. So I finally purchased the one-inch edition last week and got the package two days ago. I've already taken the camera out and let me tell you WOW, the CAMERA does NOT disappoint!!! I would highly recommend this camera to anyone who's looking for incredibly smooth footage (thanks to its high stabilization), 360 degrees shooting, or simply who WANT IT ALL!! Awesome job INSTA360!!!!

The Camera was not getting switched on with battery. It would however power on with the charging adapter. Amazon Customer care washed off their responsibility saying it will be resolved by instaone auth seller. The seller asked me to ship the item to them. Amazon customer service has gone down. The seller is yet to refund this high purchase amount inspite of item being picked up four days ago. Amazon has involved too many third parties leading to customer anxiety. Think twice thrice before ordering high cost items.

Great! Just Friggin great! I own an insta 360 one x and got this as, you know, the one inch cousin so I could do both. But then I fell in love. This camera is great I love this modular design so much I bout the 360 mod and extended battery. Ive taken it on hikes and swims all of it so waterproof and it feels compact but tough. Specifically the one inch edition. I still tread the 360 mod like a fragile egg. But the one inch I bash around bushes and and swing it around on the invisible selfie stick with great abandoned. Plus insta360 is always pushing the software forward with new features and modes. There are minor gripes. The lens cover having to come off to put it in a case isn't convenient, the onboard mic is in many ways awful outside. But over all I'm very happy to have this camera and you should be to. It's crazy to have something this powerful be so compact it fits in your pocket.

Adquirí la 1-Inch Edition como complemento para la Twin Edition que ya tenía, así que esta reseña incluye mi opinión sobre los tres módulos actualmente disponibles como cámara de acción: el 360, el 4K Wide Angle y el módulo Leica de 1 Pulgada. En primer lugar, debo decir que se ha convertido en mi cámara principal tanto para hacer salidas MTB, para ir de senderismo y como cámara de vacaciones. Personalmente le doy un uso más intensivo como cámara de fotos, en particular al módulo 360 ya que permite obtener unas perspectivas que no puedes tomar con cámaras convencionales. He adjuntado algunos ejemplos para que veáis los resultados. Dicho esto, paso a dar mi opinión módulo por módulo: Módulo 360 -------------- Hoy en día es la mejor opción calidad/precio como cámara 360 grados a nivel usuario/prosumer que hay en el mercado. Tiene todos los modos que se pueden esperar en una cámara avanzada, desde automático al manual pasando por prioridad de ISO o velocidad de obturación. El modo manual es especialmente útil para hacer largas exposiciones, llegando hasta los 120 segundos. Y el modo más práctico es el HDR, que toma hasta 9 fotos y las fusiona en una sóla imagen. En cuando a vídeo, la estabilización de este módulo es increíble, la mejor de los tres sin duda. Si además montas la cámara en un soporte que absorba las microvibraciones la imagen es una pasada. De los tres módulos éste es el que uso prácticamente a diario porque permite obtener perspectivas imposibles y ofrece la opción de reencuadre (con una sóla toma poder sacar después distintos ángulos como si llevaras más de una cámara). La única pega que le veo al módulo 360 es que, debido al grosor de la cámara, el cosido los objetos cercanos no es bueno, aparecen cortados. Hay que decir, sin embargo, que esto es un problema de todas las cámaras 360 ya que al coser las dos lentes deben eliminar el grosor del cuerpo de la cámara y siempre se produce este efecto en mayor o menor medida. Algo que hay que mencionar para quien no haya usado nunca una cámara 360 es que, aunque graba la esfera completa a 5.7K, al reencuadrar te quedas con un vídeo a 1080. Pero, una vez más, esto es algo común a todas las cámaras 360, la máxima resolución se obtiene en la imagen equirrectangular y al mostrar sólo una parte la resolución efectiva se reduce. En resumen, este módulo permite obtener fotos panorámicas increíbles y permite grabar escenas de acción mostrando distintos ángulos, con una sóla toma, con una estabilidad top. Módulo 4k ------------ Este módulo fue una sorpresa. Viniendo de serie en el pack Twin Edition pensaba que sería normalito, pero me ha gustado mucho y explico por qué. La calidad de imagen es mejor de lo que pensaba. El primer uso que le di fue como cámara acuática haciendo snorkel y los vídeos quedan muy bien. La usé sin carcasa de buceo, sólo con la jaula que viene en el pack, y la imagen es super nítida. La estabilización muy buena, no se nota el movimiento, y con la nueva función Aquavision (que realiza una corrección de color para eliminar el tinte azulado-verdoso de las tomas en el agua) las imágenes son impresionantes. Lo bueno de esta función es que es opcional y si prefieres el vídeo con los colores originalmente grabados la puedes desactivar. Respecto a la estabilidad en una bici de montaña, por ejemplo, es buena pero no tanto como la del módulo 360 ya que tiene menos imagen disponible para calcular la estabilización. Para fotos es un módulo aceptable pero no impresionante ya que sólo saca imágenes de 12 MP (4000 x 3000 píxeles). Sin embargo, es la resolución estándar para cámaras de acción de esta generación por lo que no es una desventaja respecto a otras marcas. Y sigue teniendo todos los modos: auto, prioridades, manual, intervalo y HDR. Una nueva adición al firmware es la función PureShot que mediante IA aplica una mejora a la imagen, corrigiendo distorsiones, contraste u saturación. Y también es opcional, por lo que si no te gusta el resultado la puedes desactivar. El único problema que veo en este módulo, para mí, es que la calidad de imagen (ruido) y de estabilización bajan en condiciones de poca luz, algo normal en sensores tan pequeños. Módulo 1 Pulgada Leica --------------------------- El que menos tiempo tengo y el que mejor calidad de imagen tiene, se nota el tamaño de sensor. Hasta ahora lo he usado en un par de salidas con la bici y haciendo pruebas en casa. Este módulo está enfocado para quien desee calidad de imagen por encima de todo. Los 5.3K del vídeo permiten obtener una imagen final en 4K con mucho más detalle y te da mucho más margen a la hora de hacer zoom en postproducción, por ejemplo. Además, el sensor de una pulgada lo hace mucho más luminoso comparado con el módulo 4K y se comporta mucho mejor en condiciones de poca luz, generando menos ruido y aumentando el rango dinámico. Y ahora, el otro lado de la moneda. Esta calidad de imagen superior tiene la pega de que la estabilidad en secuencias de acción extrema es la peor de los tres módulos, es mucho más sensible a las microvibraciones cuando la montas directamente a un manillar, por ejemplo. Montada en un casco, ya que la cabeza hace de gimbal y absorbe la mayor parte de las vibraciones, gana en estabilidad. Respecto a la fotografía, es más luminoso, genera menos ruido y tiene mejor rango dinámico que el 4K. Con una resolución de casi 19MP (5312 x 3552) y una focal equivalente a 14.4mm en full frame, es perfecta para fotos panorámicas y permite hacer algo de zoom, si deseas recortar la foto, sin que haya una merma de calidad apreciable. Conclusiones --------------- La Insta360 ONE R es una gran cámara que gracias a su modularidad se adapta a distintos tipos de usuarios y a distintas situaciones o necesidades: Módulo 360: para mí el imprescindible, no puedes hacer con cámaras convencionales lo que puedes hacer con él. Perfecto para deportes de acción extrema gracias a su excelente estabilidad y ángulos imposibles. Módulo 4K: el complemento perfecto del módulo 360. La calidad de imagen bajo el agua es impresionante incluso sin carcasa de buceo y es perfecta para tomas en primera persona. Módulo 1 pulgada Leica: para quien desee la máxima calidad. La estabilidad no es tan buena comparado especialmente con el 360, pero si la fijas bien y evitas las microvibraciones se obtienen muy buenos resultados. Tal y como lo veo, este módulo está orientado a usuarios más avanzados que sepan sacarle todo lo que ofrece tanto al grabar como en postproducción. Hay que mencionar que terceras empresas han sacado ya filtros ND y polarizadores tanto para este módulo como para el 4K, lo que permite conseguir esos desenfoques de movimiento tan cinematográficos incluso a pleno sol. Por último, mencionar que la edición con la app de Insta360 es una gozada y muy fácil de realizar. Además, la ONE R permite editar los vídeos y fotos directamente desde la cámara, sin descargarlos al teléfono previamente, lo que ahorra tiempo y espacio.

Das Konzept und die Idee sind super und das Design toll. Die Probleme liegen hier eher im Detail und sind, je nach Anwendungsfall wohl egal bis No-Go. Wir hatten die Cam in der Area47 beim Canyoning am Kopf. Die Signaltöne (Aufnahme/keine Aufnahme) sind quasi nicht existent. Das ist in diesem Fall ein NoGo weil ich permanent andere Fragen muss, ob die Kamera filmt oder nicht. Es gibt keinen direkten Aufnahmestart mit einschalten, das bedeutet, die Cam muss permanent eingeschaltet bleiben um Aufnahmebereit zu sein, was dem Akku absolut nicht zuträglich ist. Wieder ein ziemlicher Nachteil in genannter Situation. Das Insta-Eigene Aufnahmeformate ist mit nichts außer der eigenen Software kompatibel, egal ob 360grad mod oder 1inch mod. Aufgenommenes Material muss immer durch die hauseigene Software umgewandelt werden. Bei einem 360grad clip verstehe ich das ja noch aber beim 1inch mod? Das ist erstens Zeitaufwendige und zweitens reduziert es die Qualität, weil ich zwei mal umwandeln muss. Die App zum Anpassen der 360grad aufnahmen ist ok, aber hingt der Konkurrenz gefühlt hinterher, Perspektiven sind nicht stufenlos, sondern nur als presets wählbar (weit, mittel, nah...etc.) Der Touchscreen ist bauartbedingt sehr klein. Ja wusste ich vorher, nervt aber mehr wie erwartet. Alles in allem zu viele nervige kleine Dinge die das Filmen mit der Cam kompliziert und unintuitive bis hin zu nicht nutzbar machen. GoPro bekleckert sich mit der Max sicher auch nicht mit Ruhm, aber zumindest haben die die Basics drauf. Kamera ging zurück, obwohl die Idee genial ist. Aber das hilft am Ende nichts wenn die Grundlagen fehlen. (Schnellstart, Akkustische Signale, schnelles Menü) - weil die Action nicht wartet.

Vraiment déçu par la camera insta360 (avec camera grand angle objectif Leica), après quelques tests voici les points les plus décevants: - La camera chauffe beaucoup trop ! (dès quelques minutes de vidéo) A terme je pense pas qu'elle puisse tenir longtemps si j'en fait une utilisation régulière. - La batterie (ou les connecteurs) dysfonctionne(nt) et fige la led indicatrice sur la couleur rouge je dois donc déconnecter et reconnecter manuellement la batterie pour résoudre le problème. - A deux reprise l’écran de ma camera était figé, impossible d'afficher quoi que ce soit, relancer la camera en appuyant en continue sur On/Off j'ai du opérer de la même manière que pour le problème de la led. - Le capteur sonore est exécrable (après il s'agit d'une mini camera j'attendais pas grand chose) mais là on est à un niveau de médiocrité extrême : les réverbérations sont amplifiés fois 10 c'est juste nul. - J'ai payé 600 euros pour ça.
