The Best Of John Denver Live

Half-of his double-disc Wildlife Concert release, The Best of John Denver Live is a bit of a misnomer. There are a lot of hits in the 16-song track list, yes. But a lot of well-known Denver favorites are missing and replaced with less essential deep cuts. Docked one star for that slight. Quibbling, I know. Regardless, it's a nicely packaged representation of the late singer / songwriter's concert program, played by an exceptional band and sung by a late-career John Denver in very good voice, indeed. Produced for disc by Bob Irwin, who does his usual masterful job. Not exactly essential, but definitely recommended.

Outstanding! 2nd best J.D. album. His Wildlife concert is his best. His voice matured. His accompingmentthe best. James Burton, (I think) one of, if not THE BEST guitar player EVER. With company like Glen Campbell and Chet Atkins, that's quite a statement.

The best sing-along & driving music, ever!

I bought this hoping to have some clear audio of John Denver. This SACD provides that. I am pleased with these live recordings. It is only stereo but the instruments are crisp and clear and John Denver's voice sounds "real". I can recommend this.

Nothing to dislike. I ordered a John Denver CD to replace one I had misplaced. It came in a timely fashionam and was in excellent condition.

It's a great CD, just like all of JDs.

LONG PLAYING

These songs are from John's Wildlife Concert, which I own in both CD & DVD. This is John at his best, his voice is truly like heaven to me. I listen to at least one of his songs each day and I find some sort of peace when I hear him sIng. He was truly a remarkable singer/songwriter and this CD proves that. If you love JD, you will love this album.

This recording is not the best to hear John's voice it just sounds muffled. The songs are beautiful. Definitely not a record for a good hifi system

I am a great fan of John Denver and I have most of his ads.listening to his music helps me to relax.
