Great product to even/reduce/remove the snow
Subtle, effective, hassle free, and (currently) fairly priced. But, read and take the instructions seriously. Don't be THAT smurf. I use in the shower: Wash my hair then move to the beard. Wet beard and apply like you would regular hair/shampoo except leave it in and avoid getting more water in it. Wash hands with soap/water immediately after applying. Then soap up and wash the rest of body. Come back to rinse beard at the end. (No more soap needed.) Probably 5 minutes total. Seems to get stronger and more consistent results with that setting time. Never a problem with staining (hands, feet, face, or otherwise). I've noticed that it has a very slight burning sensation while it is working and once it stops, it's time to rinse. I use half dollar size amount for a full, but short, beard (#5 or #6 on hair clippers). But, it's fine to use a more when starting out, until you get a feel for it. When I started my beard was nearly full Santa Claus while my hair was brown with a touch of grey at temples. Took about 3 or 4 times before it matched my hair. I don't see a change until the day after washing, when my beard has had a chance to work the oils back into itself though. So patience. (They sell other products for immediate color, if that's your game.) After I get it where I want it I just use it once or twice a week. It comes out as your beard grows. So, if you see yourself getting a touch too much grey, use it the next time you shower. (This package lasts me nearly 4-5 months if that tells you anything.) After a couple months I feel like the color gets too dark in the thicker parts and so I let it go 50% grey again. Then start over. I have experimented with only applying to problem areas. Seems to work, but also annoying to be so particular, and have to use a mirror, in the shower when all you want is to get on with things though. Edit -- Notes after 1.5 years of use: - I noticed that I developed a _slight_ heat rash on my sternum, and It persisted into winter. Apparently I have sensitive skin. Simple pass with soap and water on the affected area, after the final rinse, cleared it up over a couple weeks. I forget half the time and am fine. - I also use a regular beard wash (Viking brand, nothing special) on days I don't use this, to keep my beard looking and smelling nice, and it doesn't seem to affect the results or duration.

Depends how much grey you have. Works.
Been using this for a couple months now. My beard was white. This shampoo gives it a salt pepper look. I use it everyday cause I'd like it to be darker. But that's part of turning grey. I haven't had any skin irritation with any of JUST FOR MEN products. I have pretty thick skin so that probably helps a little. It has a decent scent for me. I'll keep using it. It doesn't color your beard right away. Took around one to two weeks to get the look of salt and pepper. I would recommend this shampoo, it does work. Just depends how much grey/white you currently have. Im hoping I can get a little darker black. If you want a solid black or brown I'd use their dye. That's a solid product.

Defective on arrival. Foam does not come out of sprayer and fills body/head of duck ruining it.
Works, but I am slightly disappointed. It is gradual and there is a gradual, subtle difference, but because you're constantly growing new gray hair, it isn't really that effective if you trim your beard regularly. If you have a long bushy beard and don't trim less than 1/2 inch then it will work. There are some flaws in it's concept: 1. As above: Always growing gray hairs, and when you trim, you're trimming away the treated hair revealing gray. Using regularly will help, but it's not ideal. 2. Too small of a tube. In order to see any meaningful results, you need to be using this 2 or more times per week. I've been using it once a week and have a short beard that does not require a lot of product. It has run out within a month. If you're using this 2-3 times a week, and/or you have a bushy beard, I think you'll use up the tube very quickly. Also, the tube is sort of difficult to manage because of the size/shape. 3. The gray hairs are not turning brown. It's more like dulling their whiteness to a darker gray/purple/maroon coloring. 4. The instructions say do not use your fingers to massage into your beard - use your palms, otherwise your fingers will be dyed purple. This is no lie. Fingernails particularly turn color. But this is not really OK. The method of application and environment, and the requirement of lathering it up does not really work for "palm application". You can coat your fingernails in petroleum jelly before your shower to help avoid coloring them... but...really? I think compared with the alternative of using the standard beard dye this is pretty convenient though. I do like being able to do this in the shower and not have to deal with the other mess of standard dye. Overall I'd say it does the job, but it's not exactly as easy or effective as you'd expect.

Amazing Results — Really Works!
This product is fantastic. With frequent use, it truly colors the hair gradually and naturally. I use it in the shower: after shampooing, I apply about a coin-sized amount (more or less depending on how much hair you want to color) and leave it on while I finish the rest of my shower. Then I rinse it out. It doesn’t color on the first wash — you need to use it a few times to see the results — but once it starts working, the effect is excellent. It may not cover every single white hair, yet even if a few strands remain, the overall look is still very natural and improved. One thing to note: the product can darken your fingertips or cuticles, so it’s best to avoid direct contact with that area when applying and wash your hands immediately afterward.

Effective, But Requires Patience and Caution
I decided to try the Control GX Grey Reducing Beard Wash because I was tired of the grey in my beard making me feel older than I am. After using it for a while, I have some mixed feelings, but it definitely does what it claims if you’re careful. The Learning Curve This isn't an "instant fix" product. It's designed for a gradual change, and it really does take several washes before you notice a visible difference. • Timing is Key: I usually apply it as soon as I get in the shower and let it sit for exactly three minutes. • The "Fake" Look: A word of caution-don't leave it on too long. If you get overzealous, it can discolor your skin and make the beard look unnaturally dark and "fake." Important Precautions • Staining: This stuff is potent. Be very careful not to get it under your fingernails, as it will discolor them. • The Shower & Towels: It will stain your shower tiles and your towels. Even after rinsing thoroughly, I still get some color transfer. I’ve had to designate a "special" dark towel just for my beard to avoid ruining our good ones. Results & Value I like the product, but I wouldn't say I love it. For the amount of effort and the precautions you have to take, the impact feels a bit slow for my personal taste. It does work, and the gradual shift is more subtle than a standard dye, but you have to be committed to the routine. Final Verdict If you want a subtle, non-drastic way to turn back the clock and don't mind a little extra shower maintenance, this is a solid choice. Just keep a close eye on the clock and keep a dedicated towel nearby!

Great way to get the perfect tint without going overboard
Very good stuff. You shouldn't use it every time you shower once it gets to the color you want. It's a slow darkening that kind of blends in with your own beard color (at least mine, which was a brownish red). But once you get to the color you want, you have to alternate with your regular wash. This stops it from getting too dark. PLEASE NOTE: transferring this into a smaller bottle for travel is not an option. It's apparently activated by oxygen, so the moment it leaves the bottle with the special cap, is starts to darken. Then it'll be too dark by the time you use it.

It works. Noticed difference day 3-4
It works great. I wish I did before/after pics cause amazing results. Beard was 70% white, now it’s 30% white which I like. I noticed it around the 3-4 day mark.i do shake or knead the tube before each use. (Cap holds water so if you shake be careful, that ‘cap’ water is cold and you’re naked) My routine is wash face then apply this on beard. Remove any excess shampoo off skin with finger sort of haphazardly, just quick wipe so not to stain skin. I let it sit as I continue with shower like normal and when done, last thing I do is I’ll rinse shampoo out of beard. I do rinse any part of shower that shampoo may have gotten on cause it did stain one spot but I was able to remove with bleach. After 10 days using daily, I now do every other day to maintain. This shampoo is now part of my must have toiletries. The dye works great. Any other claims the shampoo has I can’t say. Gradual color is perfect. No one even noticed the change

Great for a natural look, just be patient!
I really like this product because it doesn’t give you that "fake" jet-black look overnight. It’s very subtle and gradually darkens the grey every time you wash, which makes the change look much more natural to people around you. It also leaves my beard feeling softer than a standard shampoo. Pros: Subtle Results: You control the color by how often you use it. It’s perfect if you just want to "salt and pepper" your look rather than fully dye it. Convenience: It replaces your normal beard wash, so there’s no extra step or messy mixing involved. Conditioning: The keratin actually makes a difference; my beard feels noticeably fuller and less wiry. Cons: Staining: You have to be careful with your fingernails and light-colored towels. I’ve found that rinsing the shower immediately after use is a must to prevent any dark spots. Speed: If you have an event tomorrow and need the grey gone instantly, this isn't the product for you. It takes about a week of daily use to see a real shift. Overall, it's a solid 4-star product for anyone who wants a low-maintenance, realistic way to manage grey facial hair.

For me ‘it works’.
I thought I would review this product because for me this stuff actually works, it’s great. I have been using this product for a week now and my beard has turned a lot darker. I have used the product everyday and twice on weekends due to training/showering. I was worried that having sensitive skin it would prevent me from getting along with the product however, having done the patch test (as advised) all was good. The beard wash started working even after the first wash, I could see a slightly darker grey after using. With each wash it continued to turn a slightly darker grey until now after approximately 11 washes it has turned quite dark with the greyest areas only showing as a dark grey, leaving other parts of the beard a dark browny colour which is near to my old natural colour. As others have mentioned it can stain your hands so either wear some gloves or ensure you give your hands a good scrub after using, especially fingertips & nails (normal soap & a nail brush works for me). It recommends leaving on for 2-3 minutes before rinsing out, I personally have left this on for longer possibly more like between 5-10 minutes. Providing you rinse off all the product prior to drying this should not stain your towels, this is something I was wary of so rinse well, plus using dark towels will help.

Good but not strong color
Not covering all hairs

WOW, sí funciona!!!
Muy discretamente desvanece y los resultados aparecen casi a la primera aplicación. Al 5° día ya es estable. Cuidado con las uñas, enjuagalas bien porque si no se quedan feamente manchadas.

Really works, if you leave it on for longer
I followed the directions of other reviewers and left the product on for longer. 10 mins at first, then 15, then 20. Once you are at the level of darkness required you only need to reapply once every couple of weeks. So super economical too! Purchased 3 box's but am still on the first after 2.5 months. Put a medium sized sandwich bag over your hand when applying if you do not wish to stain your hand/nails. Look is very natural and really winds the clock back!
