Never shuts off, waste of money and electicity
Does not shut off once reaching temperature wasting electricity and slowly getting colder and colder. Non ac setting sounds as loud as the ac, and barely feels like a box fan. Refused to fix or accept return. Do not waste your money

So far it's perfect!!
So far works perfectly!! BUT we have so far had a mild Texas summer. I hope it works on our hot hot summer nights. We only use it at night because we love to be super cool while sleeping. I hope I don't have to change my review. ๐ฅ

yes the plug breaker is fine. no power at the panel
I got it last summer. it went for the 4 months..then sat turned off until this spring. now it has no power no nothing. yes the plug breaker is fine. no power at the panel. nearest warranty repair is 40 miles away and doesnt answer the phone. A number I was given by LG. considering that and that Id have to take time to drive it down, then go back to get it or take time off work to wait at home.... Its not worth it. so it goes into the trash and I'll get a window unit that wont hurt so much if it falls apart too. Definitely wont be LG in any case

not too cool
No temperature regulation/ auto feature. I would prefer if I could set it to 68 degrees and walk away and count on it turning off and on as needed. Instead, you either let it run the entire day, or set it on a timer and forget to turn it back on until it's already too hot, where it will then need to run for hours on end to bring the temperature down again. On that note, it also doesn't go as low in temperature as my two older window units --it seldom feels like it's ever blowing out cold air, in comparison...just semi-cool air. I think I figured it out why, though...it's because unlike most window units I've used, this unit isn't concerned with a target living space temperature, instead, you are adjusting the temperature of the air coming out of the unit, where the lowest is 62 degrees. 62 degree air cannot cool down a 500 square foot living space that is 90+ degrees and humid...where as, a common window unit will blow out extremely cold air --if you stood in front of one it would feel like it's blowing out 50 degree air, while the temperature you set it to is the target environment temperature. This at least feels to be the case, but maybe I'm completely wrong. He seems to claim that it has to do with the tiny exhaust port. We end up using the window unit for the living room and this one for the bedroom. We initially got this unit for our living room.

I "was"....
..so PLEASED with this unit in my RV. I purchased this unit from Home Depot 06/2015. Used it for about 3 months, put it away until next summer. Here i am in 09/2016 where after using it for only 4 months, a total of 7 months of use since purchasing it, the air conditioner has stopped working! The fan still works but not the part which generates cold air. I didn't get a warranty with it, so after calling LG, I'm being told I need to pay $180 to have it repaired. I was truly enjoying this remote controlled unit, wished I'd gotten a warranty with it like I've done all my appliances but I didn't because I wasn't going to use it every day like my other appliances. And I couldn't leave a review at HD because they're not selling this unit anymore. Anyway, I'm sadden by this since its still very hot in Las Vegas, Nv., as well. UPDATE! Not sure what happened but it began to run again in 2017 without any problems. Couldnโt be any happy again with this amazing air conditioner in my rv each summer!
