Everyday carry comb
I really like the white Tokyo pattern. It’s simple, functional, feels and looks good. Apparently my comb isn’t as stiff opening as some others had purchased. I’ve had no problems. I had a few other combs I lost here and there. I feel like I won’t lose this one as easily. I really like Kent. It’s definitely my go to now.

The curve and size just make this one work the best!
The correct size for a moustache, unlike many folding pocket combs available on Amazon and elsewhere. It's lightweight, easy to clean, and the curve in the comb easily contours to your lip. Excellent choice and I've used them for years. I've never broken one but lose them, from time to time. Possibly a lanyard, of sorts, through the rivet hole?

Great, but small and sometimes hard to unfold
Note that this comb is indeed very small; it's not much bigger than a AA battery when folded. That said, this is what I was looking for and love it. I give it a four rather five, though, because it sometimes sticks when you're trying to unfold it, especially when first purchased. (If this happens to you, just be patient with trying to open it.)

perfect mustache comb, handmade, and reasonably priced
ok, this (87T tortoise-shell) one is just a "go ahead and get it" type thing: the price makes it risk free, and it's near perfect. i even use it for combing my beard sometimes, but for that misuse you need to cover the hinge with your thumb. it really is too small for the beard, but it's so small that i just carry it around. no catching, in any of the tines. i've even taken a look at it with a head magnifier to see if i can find some flaws. it has enough resistance to open, so that it stays closed in your pocket, but it's also easy to open. i see that some say difficult to ope n, but i now have two Kent folding combs and both are identical in high quality. the gold will NOT last btw. sooner or later the gold lettering will be gone, because it's just on the surface, rather than stamped in.

Not hard to please, I'm easily satisfied with the best
Isn't loose, combs my beard well with no pulling or snagging, the "White Tokyo" celluloid looks great, very classy. It is a little tight, but the very tip of the comb extends a tiny bit over the handle so just use your fingertip to open it. It literally can't fold completely "inside" the handle and if one can't open it when closed I really don't know what to say. In my picture you can see the tip of the comb that sticks out. If it becomes a little loose over time, pretty sure you could gently squeeze the rivet with a pair of pliers and it will be as tight as new again. Like my other Kent comb it is of outstanding quality. Size is fine for me, it's for grooming properly, not combing your entire Santa Claus beard in one stroke. Lightweight, feels good in the hand. It's just going to be tucked into my briefcase for travel, not sure how it would be in a back pocket, sitting on it. Might buy another with the "graphite" celluloid, which also looks great. Handmade in the UK rather than molded in China which I also like. Recommend.

Nice Little Comb, But the Curved Tip Is a Problem
This little mustache comb looks good, is compact, and seems well made. Unfortunately, I don't like the way the last half-inch of the comb curves downward like a hawkbill knife. When I use it to comb my mustache or beard, the point of the curved tip passes through the whiskers and drags along my skin. I suppose Kent has a reason for shaping the comb that way, but I haven't seen any benefit. In fact, I find it annoying enough that I tend to avoid using the comb. I gave it three stars because it does what it is supposed to do, and nothing is fundamentally wrong with its construction or the quality of the comb itself. However, every other mustache or beard comb I own does the job better simply because the tips don't drag along my skin as I comb. To me, three stars means a product works and does its basic job but has flaws or fails to meet expectations, and that rating describes my experience with the Kent comb. Perhaps the curved tip serves a purpose that I'm missing, but for me it is a design feature that makes an otherwise nice little comb less comfortable to use.

Very nice
I've had the Kent 85T for years and love it, but the teeth were wider spaced and thicker than the 87T, so it would take multiple passes through a single spot on my beard to comb through all of the hairs. This 87T does the trick and it still doesn't get caught on my thick and dense beard. At first it was a little tight to open after fully pressed closed, but still doable and was only a little inconvenient. Today, after a couple of days of opening and closing it, it now opens smoothly the the perfect amount of resistance. Some people say it's small, but for my short to medium length beard I think it's perfect, since it also allows it to be highly portable. (And it's nice that it folds to protect the teeth while traveling or carrying it in your pocket so they don't break off.) I highly recommend it.

Perfect small comb
Perfect small brush for the moustache or small goatee beard . High build quality . Excellent construction for smooth tidy grooming . Looks great ! A little stiff at first so wiggle it at the hinge before folding for the first time . Keep in the chest pocket to stay groomed at all times

THE mustache comb. This one.
This is the mustache comb you’ve been looking for. I bought two of them for $12 CAD and I feel good about it. There are absolutely knock-offs out there that aren’t worth the stamp it takes to ship them. These are not those. This is legit. Are they hand assembled and ground? Maybe. The combs on the two I have aren’t actually identical in profile. So maybe they ARE hand shaped. It doesn’t matter though, because this comb is great. The folding keeps pocket lint off of the teeth, which is important because often the comb has moustache wax on it after use. The rivet/hinge is tight, so it domes open up in my pocket. The size is perfect. Honestly, who needs four inches of teeth to comb a MUSTACHE? Guys are getting conned into buying beard combs for a mustache. If you don’t have a beard, don’t buy a beard comb. That being said, don’t buy this thinking you can groom your beard with it. Your eyebrows maybe, if you run more to the Eugene Levy look.
