Nice and bright, and turn themselves off if I forget. No need to pay extra for outdoor lights that have the built in light sensor. These bulbs do their job. When first installed the bulbs will light up during daylight - just wait around and they will turn off. My electrician was impressed. These bulbs also look nice during daylight hours.

I was happy to find candelabra bulbs that work by sensor. I live in an unincorporated area and although I have a street lamp across the road, the front of my home is always very dark at night. Our letter carrier was out late one night and I'm so glad she had a headlamp on because our driveway was dangerously dark; reflecting on it my thought was that she or anyone else, like Amazon, approaching for after dark deliveries risked a trip. We aren't ones to leave a poarch light on...thats just us. I read the reviews and saw some people complained some bulbs went off and on, with one light working and one not or intermitently turning off and on. My lanterns take three bulbs and I did in fact notice the first time/night they were used one of the three would intermittently and alternatively go off and come back on. I was not happy and my first instinct was to return them; however, my husband said they might need a day or two to fully charge and told me to give it a few days. I did and he was right. All three lights are on at the same time at dusk and turn off at first light of day. I feel more secure with these lights coming on at dusk and am happy the Amazon delivery person has been able to leave a package or two on the couple of nights they were out late. And now I don't have to worry that I've forgotten to leave a light on for ourselves when we leave our home. These wonderful little lights do what I forget to do and now there are always lights on in the front of my home to provide a little bit of security. And wow, are these little lights bright! I give these dusk to dawn lights FIVE wonderful stars.

This review is for GE #93121491, GE LED+ Dusk to Dawn Daylight Candelabra Base 2-Pack. I purchased these bulbs to use in my lamp post outside, using a circuit on which I have installed a photo-sensor to automatically turn light on at dark and off during the day. 4 years ago, after installing the new lamp & post, I installed the photo sensor which, unfortunately, failed after only 3 months. I purchased another one, but the $34.95 isn't the worst part... Installing the sensor in a weather tight enclosure which barely has enough wire available is tricky and consumed at least 2 hours of my time. Unfortunately the sensor failed again - this time 6 months after installation. Another 35 bucks, another couple of hours and more frustration - because the screws in the weatherproof enclosure were breaking off. Eventually I would no longer be able to replace the photo sensor without having to replace ALL OF THE COMPONENTS! Well, 18 MONTHS LATER IT FAILED AGAIN! (3 different brands, all made in China) I left it alone for several months because I did not want to tackle the replacement and shell out more money. For some reason, it occurred to me to search for LED bulbs that have the photo-sensing circuitry built in; I had no idea that they existed, but the moment I saw it I knew this would solve my problems! I then researched the various brands, including those available at my local big box store. Ultimately I settled on the GE brand mentioned above, And I couldn't be happier! I knew the brightness and color temperature that I desired based on the bulbs previously used in the lamp fixture. These bulbs were are a little bit brighter, but the color temperature is exactly what I desired. And although the previous bulbs had no light-sensing circuitry, they failed approximately every year... So far this GE light HAS OPERATED 16 MONTHS WITH ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUES. Even if it failed at this point, I would gladly replace it with the exact same bulb. I purchased multipacks, so I do have a set of replacements if / when necessary. I know you cannot go wrong with this product... I never give a product 5 stars (nothing's perfect), BUT IF ANY PRODUCT DESERVES 5 STARS - IT'S THIS ONE: GE LED+ Dusk To Dawn, Daylight (5,000° Kelvin), 5 Watt Candelabra Base #93121491. Btw, It's rated for outside use, but I'm using it in a weather-protected lamp fixture... so I can't attest to its ability to withstand rain storms, hurricanes etc.

These bulbs turn on automatically at dusk and off at dawn, which is very convenient for outdoor fixtures. Light output is consistent and the soft white color is pleasant. Pros: automatic on/off, energy efficient, easy install Cons: needs direct exposure to light for sensor accuracy Bottom line: Solid choice for porch or outdoor security lighting.

These bulbs put out a lot of light which is good for my outdoor light post. I thought the “daylight” shade would be more like natural daylight, but it’s more of a bright white LED light. They were easy to install and most importantly, they turn on at dusk and off at dawn, just what I wanted! They have a lengthy lifespan which is good so I don’t have to change them out for a very long time. My last one lasted 6 years.

Cant believe i didnt switch to this lighting sooner. The look, lighting, color temperature and value for the money is good. These two bulbs light up my front yard really well. Im confident that the lifespan of these LEDs is going to be ok.

These GE LED bulbs do not shut off at dawn. In broad sunny Californian daylight, outdoor, they light up when you flip the switch. Disappointed with the quality control. I will not recommend them.

I purchased these for my outdoor garage and post lights. We were a little worried as our fixtures are older and the base seemed too short on these but they are working great so far. The post has 3 bulbs and the garage lights take 2 each. No issues with turning on at dusk and off at dawn. The “soft white” is really warm but we like that. I really like not having to remember to turn the lights on and off. Should have purchased these sooner!

Working perfectly. I have a 3 bulbs lamp and was afraid one bulb will shut down the others. They don't and work perfectly. A bit too much perfectly. What I mean is that they are freakin bright. They light the whole street but not a big deal in the end. Just be ready for a lot of light.

Not only good to save electricity by the auto turn off function, but it's also pretty.

Love these light bulbs. Perfect for the ourside lights and not having to remember to turn them off/on. Last for years.

Sensor on outdoor pole light wasn’t working. Ordered and Tried these bulbs and they work great. No need to replace the sensor.

The lights work very well. They are very bright.
