I love this sleep mask. The band that goes around your head is adjustable. The mask itself is so soft and the covering is silky smooth - and there are indentations for your eyes, so there is no pressure on your eyes. I find the quality is excellent, and it's a great design. You do not get hot wearing the mask, and it is very comfortable. It blocks the light. In the summer the light is so bright in my room, that it wakes me up too early. This mask is perfect for blocking the light and letting me sleep in.

Pros: This mask works extremely well for me. The strap was already at the perfect tightness for my head; not too loose, not too tight. Obviously your mileage may vary, but it's adjustable, so there shouldn't be any issues. The fabric is very comfortable (silky smooth), so I really don't notice it on my face. And it stays on incredibly well. I've yet to have it slip far enough off that the light shines through and bothers me, which is all you can ask for. I alternate between sleeping on my back, side, and stomach, and it stays on very well. At only $10 USD, this mask is an absolute bargain. Cons: There is a little bit of light bleed at the bottom of the nose. That being said, it's not substantial enough to where it's something I personally notice when sleeping, even in a sun-soaked room. Also, while there is *some* contour that allows space for your eyes, it's very minimal, so it still rests on your eyes. I can't open them with the mask on. I'm not sensitive to having something pressed against my eye, but I do wake up a bit more crusty-eyed than normal. Again, it's not substantial enough to make or break for me, but if it's something you're sensitive too, I'd consider something with more of a cup to leave space for your eyes to breathe. I would give this 4.5 stars if I could, but since the cons don't bother me all that much, I'll go ahead and say 5 stars. If it was any more expensive, I'd say do more research, but since it's only $10, I'd say it's definitely worth giving a try if you're looking to buy your first sleep mask.

Definitely blocks out light and is very soft and comfortable on my face. It has a nice soft adjustable strap as well. Would purchase one again, if I needed one. Wish it came in different colors. Purple would be great!

I have had several eye pillows over the years that help during migraines and to sleep. I have had one from 1$ upwards of 30$, made of plastic material to cloth with pellets, and even some with "soothing" materials. Out of all of these, I have to say that this is by far the best eye pillow I have come across. It eliminates the light that sometimes creeps in through the area between your eye and your nose, and has a pleasant feel against my skin. I spend most of my day on my stream or editing videos for Youtube, so when it is time to sleep I like to cancel out all incoming light that I can. I can tell you that this does it with an efficiency I have not see in any other product. It takes a great deal for me to give such high praise to a product, but this does it with ease. I was skeptical reading the page because I always am, but since its delivery I have been pleasantly surprised. If I could give this 6 stars, I definitely would, From just the stand point of someone wanting a better nights sleep, Its a 10/10. From the standpoint of someone who medically has intense light sensitivity when going through a migraine, I give it a 10/10. From the standpoint of just a consumer looking for quality out of his money, Look not further. This is literally the best eye pillow I have come across. It's easy adjustable strap allows it to stay on my face regardless if I toss or turn, and although I have yet to use it during a flight, I can only imagine the same result as at my home. Let me state for full clarity, I have spent close to 200$ in just the last two years on eye pillows, This is not only the best for the price, it's the best for its purpose. I do not see myself purchasing anything other than this in the future, and I would be willing to put my name behind it (if that's worth anything.) So if you are hesitant on purchasing, Let me assure you that if your goal is to block light from your eyes, this is the ticket. Do yourself a favor, like I have, and give it a try. I have spoken with the Alaska Bear people myself, and they are very professional. So for your TL:DR "It's worth it, and you won't regret it. I have had many, and this is the best I have encountered thus far."

Super silky and comfortable! I've been using it almost every night for years and it's still in good condition! Machine washable in my experience. Really helps me fall asleep.

This is a great sleep mask (at least the version I purchased). There is slight space for eyes and it does well for side sleepers. It’s also nice and soft. The only comment to make it even better is to add flap around the nose as light can seep in occasionally (depending on how much it moves (I don’t tighten it). Regarding other comments and care: Silk cannot be machine washed. There may be a few machines with a hand wash cycle but don’t do it. Don’t dry it either. You could use the ultra low cycle for 15 minutes but the tumbling will be an issue. Don’t know why this isn’t widely known. Do wash this by hand using a bit of tepid water (enough to fully cover) and 1/2 teaspoon of woolite dark. Should only take a couple minutes massaging by hand. Drain, fill with water and massage to get the detergent out. Repeat until water remains clear. Lay it out to air dry (elevated). I used my dish rack (manual, not dishwasher) flipping as needed. Not sure why some folks wouldn’t wash something going on their face before using it.

UPDATE: Since receiving and reviewing the mask, Alaska Bear reached out in order to help right a wrong and sent me an updated version of their mask. The replacement was without a doubt an improvement. Everything from the packaging to the product itself was definitely improved upon. The mask itself was made from a much better material, with a more comfortable fit. The heavier weighted mask and slight eye indentations in the mask, brought much needed relief to the eyes when comparing to the first model. All in all, no question, the mask has been improved. Unfortunately though, I still found that several of my previous masks were still designed in a better way. Other masks had eye cups which were a bit deeper, so no contact was made, the designs of the masks contoured and hugged the face much better, the material was more comfortable for all night use, and the straps were stitched in a better place. I think at this point, like many things, it's moving into the "subjective opinion" territory, and honestly you'll just have to try it for yourself. I'm rating this second mask the way I would have if I only received it, and not the first model, and staying true to the star rating description—"It's okay" for me, but I wouldn't say I liked it. I will say however that the support was great, and it's nice to see that customer support really cares that your happy, and will take the extra step to see that your happy. •••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••••• I don't quite understand why or how this product is getting 5 star reviews, and is in the #1 spot for best sleeping mask on a couple of websites. It's very poorly made, the strap stitching is weak, the material is paper thin and what's more—it pushes the face mask into your eye sockets! I didn't strap them in tight at all, even less than any other sleeping mask I've owned in the past, but the tightness of the strap, coupled with the thin and flimsy material of the mask makes it the worst experience I've had with face masks. It's really worth getting the sleeping masks with the eye cups. The worst part—I couldn't return it. This is the first product in over 5 years of heavy and steady amazon shopping that has a "No return" return policy.. That should have been a hint. Forget warranties, or satisfaction guarantees, nope. You can't even return it if you don't like it. Trust me, there's a lot of masks out there, I rely on these masks to sleep each and every night, and this is not the way to go. Why take the chance and be stuck with a product that you can't return. Do yourself a favor and find something else.

I was skeptical when I read the teaching reviews. It looks like all the masks I have gotten on airplanes and drug stores. But it turned out to be way more comfortable and cooling, even for the tropical country I am in. It stays on the whole night as well. My sleep has been transformed completely and I look forward to using it every night.
