Satisfied with this Eufy ecosystem, I am now adding more of their products to it.
This system is very good, it’s easy to setup, the connectivity to the internet and alarm functionality very good. Video quality and its durability very good. I’ve had it for five years now and I am still satisfied.

Perfect for Renters
I love this system! It was easy to install and I love that there’s no monthly subscription requirement, although it is an option. I love that you can fully customize it to your needs. Pros: Does not require monthly subscription. Although this is an option, a monthly subscription isn’t required which I love. All this system requires is a wifi connection and it will notify your phone anytime someone opens the door, turns on/off the system, etc. The subscription fees are also only $5-10 a month! Only took an hour to setup. This system is battery operated, but the batteries have lasted this far (I’m only about a half a month in but will come back and edit when they die). Everything is put into place with either glue strips (included) or screws (also included). The glue strips have also lasted this long and are a perfect option for renters. The different modes (away, home, custom, off). I love that there are different modes that are all customizable. I use the home mode for at night when I don’t want the motion detector to set off the alarm and I have the alarm go off immediately. I use the away mode for when I’m out and about and everything will set the alarm off after a specific amount of time if the code hasn’t been input. I haven’t used custom yet, as I haven’t had the need. Off is self explanatory and I use it for during the day when I’m home and am going inside/outside frequently. Cons: There is no remote for (de)activation. Other systems come with a keychain remote to easily turn off or turn on a system. Although this doesn’t necessarily make a difference, it would be nice. This is also solved by the fact that Eufy has an app that you can use to control the whole system. The alarm isn’t the loudest, but it is loud enough to be super annoying and alert someone that there is an alarm system in the house.

Easy to set up.
Fairly easy to set up. Don’t need to be a “techie” to set it up. Siren could be a bit louder for a deterrent.

Great security system for apartments and small spaces.
After almost a year of use of Eufy alarm system I would say its a great system for limited purpose. It will NOT replace an exterior alarm system. The sound of the alarm is low, which is great for apartments or if the use will be more for monitoring than deterrence. Here I share some pros and cons. Pros: • Door sensor can be used as door chime. • Easy and quick setup. • Small and lightweight. • Quickly notify any setup event to the phone. Even when the Homebase is not working properly (see cons). i.e. if a door is opened a notification is received within a second. • Schedule modes, setup multiple users/ passwords. Cons: • Homebase reliability: Once in a while I have had to restart the Homebase because the chimes are not working. I have been unable to restart the homebase thru the App even though it has an option. • Automation limitations: Some devices can be linked to the Homebase, others can not. Read carefully before purchasing. But it is easy to control each device within the App.

Good home alarm set
I purchased this alarm set to replace the old ADT alarm set in an older home. Installation of the sensors was simple and quick. I mounted each set of sensors with the sticky glue pad and also secured them with the provided screws due to the strong magnetic force pulling a magnet to the nearby sensor in proximity. For reliable connection, I chose to connect the home base to the internet using the provided Ethernet cable. I installed the keypad on the wall along a hallway next to a protected receptacle with USB (see attached pic). I read the instructions for each of the devices a couple of times which were clearly written with illustrations, then I followed the instructions to the letter for step-by-step installation starting with the home base, the keypad, and lastly the sensors to get them all working together before actually mounting the sensors. The whole process of installation was simple, I didn't encounter any issue (such as firmware update, and dead batteries) described by some reviewers. The alarm set has been working as expected since it was installed. By default, the home base will notify you of all open and close events detected by the sensors, which may be too much for some folks. However, the controller app, which is easy to navigate, would allow you to customize the settings for each of the sensors to minimize or turn-off notification completely. You can choose "Home" or "Away" mode either by using the app or by using the keypad, which will require validation with the PIN first. 12/12/23 Update: An update of the Eufy Security app on my mobile device sometimes last week causing the following issues: 1) I couldn't open it, it kept crashing, 2) The annoying warning "This accessory is not supported" kept popping-up, 3) whatever the app was doing, it caused the battery to drain fairly quickly, I had to recharge it multiple times each day, I never had to do that in the past. To fix the crashing issues, I had to delete the app then reinstall it from the Apple Store. Reduced 1 star for poor quality app.

Great system
Ease set up. It is replacing another brand that consistently went off line and needed to be reset. It works without any issues. Very pleased with product and value

Eufy’s “Security” System Is a Dangerous Joke. Weak Alarm, Misleading Info, and Useless Support
I spent over $400 on what I thought was a full Eufy home security setup. I bought the HomeBase 2, the 5-piece sensor kit, smart lock, doorbell camera, outdoor camera, chime, and more. I expected to feel safe in my home. Instead, I got a system that can barely be heard and a support team that doesn’t even understand how their own products work. Only the HomeBase 2 makes a sound when the alarm is triggered. None of the sensors, cameras, or other components ring. Just one small box with a 100 dB siren sitting upstairs next to my router. I live in a two-story home. One day the alarm rang for hours and I didn’t even notice. Neither did my neighbors. What kind of security system is that? When I contacted customer service, I explained everything clearly. I gave them the facts, the issue, and the exact solution. Their replies were insulting. They asked me if I had tried turning up the volume. I had. They told me to try different alarm tones. I had. They told me to move the HomeBase, even though I clearly said it had to stay next to the router. Then they told me to use my doorbell camera as a siren, which is connected to a chime and would go off with every passerby. It’s not even linked to the HomeBase alarms. That suggestion made no sense at all. Then came the most ridiculous part. They actually asked me if my house had walls. Yes, my house has walls. That’s how houses work. If your product can’t be heard through a wall, it’s not fit to be called a security system. It got worse. They asked if my motion sensors and entry sensors made noise. These devices do not emit sound. They never have. It’s shocking that their own support team doesn’t even know how their products function. That’s basic information and they clearly didn’t have it. They also told me Eufy doesn’t make a separate siren. I had to send them a link to their own siren listed on Amazon before they even acknowledged it existed. I asked for two of them to be sent to me as a fair resolution. After dodging the request with emotional reassurances and irrelevant replies, they just stopped responding. To make things even more frustrating, one of the cameras I bought wasn’t compatible with the system. I only found this out through trial and error, because the product description doesn’t mention it. Nowhere does it say it won’t work. That’s on them. There’s no actual customer service number. You’re left emailing support reps who don’t read your messages, don’t know the products, and give you useless copy-paste responses while stalling you into silence. I handed them the solution. I explained the problem from day one. I did all the work for them. The moment I had an airtight case and knocked down every excuse they had, they disappeared. If you want a system that’s reliable, loud, and backed by people who care about your safety, this isn’t it. The design is flawed, the listings are misleading, and the customer service will waste your time until you give up. I regret buying this. You will too. Update: After weeks of trying to work with Eufy support, I was offered a refund that doesn’t even cover the cost of fixing the problem. I asked for two sirens so the system could function properly, or a refund to cover the actual price. They refused both and closed the case. Since I pointed out the siren was on Amazon, it was suddenly removed and now only shows up on their website. I gave them every chance to resolve this and they chose not to. Think twice before trusting this system to protect your home.
