Not much analysis, but good for newbies
Sooo, if you are getting this book to learn how to analyze stocks, or to understand how to read key statistics and data on a stock..then this isn't the book for you. It does briefly introduce u on how to make analysis on stocks using P/E ratio, EPS, PEG etc. But keyword is brief. This book is easy to read, about 1 to 2 hour read. It's great for complete newbies, as it does go through step by step process of learning how or where to find a broker, to learning how to purchase a stock. You will learn definitions and terms used often. 4 stars for the easy read and step by step guides that someone who is a complete newbie can benefit from. In reality this book is more of 3 stars for the lack of depth. Meaning that you are really getting a snippet of what investing involves. You won't learn about dividends, options, or what gains and losses mean for you when you do your taxes. Stuff like that. I probably should of taken the 101 part of the title more into consideration. Not really what I was looking for, but it doesn't mean someone else wouldn't benefit from this book.

Great For The Beginner
Overall this is an informational easy read I would recommend for beginners. I was hoping for something that went more in depth about technical analysis, identifying trends etc. I would definitely recommend you bundle this book with one that goes more in detail about how to read and interpret charts.

I love how straight forward this resource is! Mabel does an excellent job of breaking down the essentials and includes practical instructions. No waffling, no excessive jargon (she defines any jargon mentioned). Nice, quick read - I read it all the way through in just under 2 hours. Excited to flesh out my notes and start creating my watch list! God bless you Mabel - keep going.
