This sunscreen is a great value for the price. The SPF 50 protection works well and the lotion applies smoothly without feeling too greasy. I believe it is equal to the name brands It is 50 SPF Sun Protection Factor so it offers strong UV A and UV B protection which are the 2 ranges of sun rays that do the skin damage and burning. It is an easily absorbed lotion that when rubbed goes into the skin and is not visible. It is thick and goes on with a non shiny, non greasy, solid thick feeling which is what we need for it to stay on as long as possible. It feels good after being rubbed in in that it feels dry and not overly greasy or with no shine and sheen. It is a good product and offers burn protection to me in some clear-sky strong sun uses. Reapply after entering the pool water or swimming laps and after an hour (all sunscreen labels say reapply after 80 minutes which I believe is per recommendations of the federal FDA or some medical studies). I reapply often and I still get tanned but I do not want to burn.

Love this sunscreen. I live in FL and like to walk most mornings, and need a good sunblock. This Amazon Basics is far better than my previous, far more expensive brand. It's a great price for great quality. I've been using it on my body & face, it's non-greasy, absorbs well, and really seems to offer very good sun protection. I'm very pale and this held up on a 2 day spa day full of 89 degrees sun, lots of swimming. Didn't burn at all.

Just ok - very thick, so difficult to apply evenly. I use this for outdoor cycling and it works, but it's so thick that it tends to clump instead of smoothly covering the skin.

"This is trulthfuly one rare products that actually does what it's claimed to do ! For one like me who could get burnt from sun in the dead of winter this is trufully a fabulous product .. Normally in the past friends often spotted me at the beach always cloverd up with long sleeve cotton T-shirts and kind over sized wide brim hat 'And when not in the water wearing some kind of light weight cotton sweatpants or and equivalent to PJ bottoms .. Often times in the past I looked peculiar 'As maybe seeing baby Jane Hudson minus the strawberry ice cream cones .. Three weeks ago decided put this sun lotion to the extreme max test I went to the beach on a day where the weather was 95 with degrees with a Uv index was 10 or 11. I'm not sure it was one of the two . Well that day got up around 7am took a shower applied the large about all over my body got to the beach with bare necessities 'And not with all the commerson junk I use to take with me to avoid a sunburn. Well finally got to beach around 9.30am when you live in NYC 'And dont have access to a car 'and have rely on the use public transportation it can be a formidable daunting task to undergo aside the fact have to deal with the who's who Crazies that also take public transportation. Well like said I got there was in the water for about 30 mins walk around the beach for bit had sandwich then past out woke up around 1.45 because the sweat was getting in my eyes then decided to go back in the water to cool down a bit came back out of the water around 3.20 applied the sunscreen lotion "Not that I need to but better to safe then sorry . Went back off to sleep and wake up around 5.30 because it got very cloudy and might rain so pack up gear and off on long laborious trip home . Which oddly enough didn't seem all that bad as did in past and reason Being was probably I didn't have a "Severe " sunburn . In Fact just for some places on my face were I missed not applying the sun tanning lotion to red but definitely not sun burnt .. Know on how light fair my skin is being out in the for 9 + hours it looked like I was only out exposed to the sun for about 30 mins . True 'you may not get glowing tan with this product but my goal here was not to look like a Very very old pair brown leather shoes.
