TPMS Programming Tool
I do a lot of basic maintenance on my own vehicles, and one thing that always felt a bit confusing was tire pressure sensors. When I had a warning light come on recently and couldn’t figure out the exact issue, I decided it was time to get a proper tool instead of guessing or making trips back and forth to the shop. This device arrived well packaged and everything inside felt organized and solid. The first thing I noticed was that it didn’t feel overly complicated once I started going through the menus. It walks you through the main steps clearly, which helped a lot since I’m not a professional mechanic. I used it to check all four tires on my truck and was able to activate and read each sensor without much trouble. It also gave me the ability to reset and clear the warning light after I fixed the issue, which honestly saved me a trip to the tire shop. The screen is easy to read and the buttons respond well, so it doesn’t feel frustrating to use. I also like that it connects over WiFi for updates, so I don’t feel like it’s going to become outdated quickly. It’s one of those tools that pays for itself after a couple uses, especially if you deal with multiple vehicles. For anyone who likes handling their own car maintenance, this makes TPMS work a lot more manageable and less intimidating overall.

every shop uses an autel tpms tool so that says alot
i like this autel ts508wf better then my other two tpms tool (xt001 tp150 & thinkcar venue-1pr0) for example the autel mx sensors are readily available at your local auto parts store. the autel can check keyfob frequency while my other two can't, the autel can unlock toyota ecu if your toyota is stuck in tpms loop mode while my other two cannot. this autel can check all makes and models tpms sensors but can only program/clone autel mx sensors. same with my other two tpms tool as well, after using it for over a week the autel battery last longer then my xt001and thinkcar. i should have bought this autel ts508wf a long time ago and be done with, i highly recommend it over my xt001 & thinkcar.

Makes TPMS easy!
This is a fantastic tool. I work in an automotive shop and have a couple different tpms tools. This one is by far my favorite and the fastest. I can easily copy a bad sensors ID from the obd2 port or I can create a new sensor id and relearn it to the vehicle. There are lots of options and all are very easy. I have not found a vehicle it can't program and replace sensors on. Updates are easy once the free autel software is installed on your pc. There are other options to update too but I haven't used them. The tool has a great battery life. If you're doing TPMs. This is the one to own. Side note. It only works with autel sensors. This tool can also check your key fob to make sure it's working. Great to know if it's the fob or the vehicle if you're having troubles.

Perfect tool for switching different set of wheels/tires combo
I recently purchased a new set of tires and rims mounted and balanced with TPMS sensor from an online shop. So I knew I would need to activate the new sensors and saved them to the car's ECM. I originally purchased the TS401 only later realizing after some research that this particular unit does not allow me to save those new sensors IDs to the car's ECM. It can only read/activate the new sensors which work just fine on some cars, just not mine. So with Amazon's excellent service, I was able to cancel the original order before it was shipped and reorder the TS508 instead. After registering and updating the unit. I install my new set of wheels/tires on my Subaru, scrolled through the menu, and found two of the same model for my particular car, unsure what is the difference, I highlighted one and scan all the sensors but didn't get the options to save those sensors settings to the ECM. So when I tried again using the second model name and rescan all the sensors I was able to get the menu to instruct me to plug in the tool to the ODBII port and I was able to save those sensors settings and the dash warning light went away. A couple of minors nitpicks that does not effect the function of the scanner tool. I didn't get the hard case for the TS508 like in the description but got a smaller soft case instead. Also, I didn't get the round thing with the warning tape like on the images posted by other reviewers, which I assume sits on the front of the scanner to aid in directing the air valve/TPMS sensors in the right spot to scan. But even without it, the scanner worked perfectly.

it does work and has a lot of options to do what you need to do with tire pressure system systems
my first time using it took a little bit to get it set up registered updated directions aren’t very good. Had to watch a few YouTube videos on how to run it but now that I have it figured out it worked good on my first project with it.

Easy to use
Got new winter tires with rims and TPMS. Wasn't sure how this would work, the instruction manual is ok but not the easiest to understand. Turned the unit on and found the vehicle, was able to run diagnostics easily to make sure the new sensors were active, and then used the update TPMS position program to program the new TPMS to the car (just follow the instructions on the unit). Worked on both a Toyota and a Chevy. Had to update the unit before using it which required installing a program to my computer from a Chinese company I've not heard of but I deleted it after and did a clean sweep on the computer so hopefully that's enough. Dealership wanted to charge $95 to program the TPMS each time the tires were switched, so $190/year plus tax for what ended up being 5 minutes of my time. This will pay for itself after 3 uses. Would definitely recommend.

Didn't work on any vehicle
1. Received it, registered it on my Autel account, updated it as instructed. 2. Selected my vehicle (the first one) using the proper build date, etc. and tried to get it to activate ANY sensor on the vehicle. It failed every single wheel. Just wouldn't work. (I have used other TPMS tools like the OTC, etc. and had none of these problems. The sensors on my Explorer are the ones that are banded to the rim and are positioned on the opposite side of the wheel from the valve stem. 3. Selected my wife's pickup in the menu. Same problem. It wouldn't read a single sensor on her truck either. Her sensors are at the valve stem. 4. Sent it back for a replacement. 5. Replacement arrived yesterday. As soon as I took it out of the box, I tried to read the wheel speed sensors on my wife's truck (make the proper menu selections, etc.) Again - it would not activate a single one of her sensors no matter what I did. 6. Brought it back in, registered it on my Autel account, plugged in the power cord, and as with the other tool, I connected it to my wifi (Deco Mesh system). 7. Came back later to check on it (the updates take a while) and found that it had crashed during the update and had thrown me an error message telling me to either try the wifi again or use the cable connection method. I chose the wifi option. 8. It locked up. Froze. 9. I disconnected the power and tried to boot the tool. It got to the Autel screen and that's where it stayed. The tool basically bricked itself during the update. This tool has a lot of positive updates, but for me, it was nothing but a waste of time and a piece of junk. And I own several other Autel tools I've not had trouble with, so I'm not trashing the brand - just this particular tool - two in a row didn't work as promised and the second one destroyed itself during the update.

This product is a game changer for all shade-tree mechs
This recent acquisition is going to prove to be a $$$$ well spent. One of my vehicles has had a TPMS light on for quite some time. All tire pressures are correct and steady. With this device, I was able to diagnose my RR wheel to be the source of the code. Without this device, it would have the shotgun approach. Or even an expensive visit to the tire shop/dealership. After getting the device connected to my wifi, registered and updated, which is highly recommended, taking about 15 - 20 min, the device was good to go. One recommendation that I would pass on to future purchasers, be prepared to manually enter all necessary information via the navigation screen on the device. I did not use my desk-top to do all this. I did not go that far into it. After wifi, registration, and update, I was able to immediately use this device to connect to my vehicle and identify my problem sensor. I was also able to inspect that status of new sensors recently purchased and they all read good. Overall, I very satisfied with this product and looking forward to addressing any TPM issue in the future with any and all of my vehicles. It will definitely pay for itself in the long run. I emphasize, $$$$ well spent.

Autel MaxiTPMS TS508WF

Works very well
Does what it is meant to do and reads all sensors properly. It is easy to read the sensors then copy the codes into the ecu of the car with this tool even if the sensors are not autel tpms sensors. Using Autel sensors make it even easier to program.
