I bought couple of 16amp devices for use with Air conditioner and Hot water geyser. I flashed the device with Tasmota which was not easy as there is built in chip that keeps turning the device on and off with stock Tasmota and even after you configure Tasmota properly as soon as you connect switch port to 220v the device starts flickering. So it is not compatible with Tasmota unless you are into heavy modding and know how to de-solder and solder to bypass the built-in watch guard chip! One of the devices running Tasmota failed after a month as it stopped connecting to the wifi network, I am not sure why that happened but It is my guess that it was overheating underneath the Shrinktube and as a result the ESP8266 chip inside lost its WiFi radio function or the device had shady quality,ESP8266, chip to begin with. EDIT:03SEP2024 I am changing my rating to 5 stars because I have been using multiple 16-A switches (Extremely modified to run Tasmota) for over a year now. These switches have been running solid so far switching a heavy-duty 25 Litre water Geyser, a 2-Ton split air conditioner and Two-1.5 ton split air conditioners. EDIT:08/SEP/2024: Ordered 3 More of these 16A devices. Latest model is slightly different from previous model. Now this device uses transformer-less design, so the size is somewhat better when trying to fit in small, cramped gang boxes. It is easier to flash the onboard ESP8266 with Tasmota as all the required pins are easily accessible without having to remove insulating cover. Much more DIY friendly device.

Hooked up this unit to the home geyser. Getting it to connect to the Home WiFi was a bit of a challenge (involving switching to AP mode on the device and turning off the 5Ghz radio on the router) but finally it did connect. What is unfortunate was that the device couldn't sustain a 6A Geyser load (the device itself is supposedly rated for 16A!). It would trip (or cut off or whatever internal safety mechanism it has every) 10 secs. It would power up the device again after a 10 sec cooling period and trip over again. The cycle repeats. This was a concealed geyser making it even more tricky to check if there is power or not! The device was not faulty since running it with a small load (a bulb) - it could supply steady power! Update: Tinxy team reached out post this review and jointly debugged the issue. The product did turn out to be defective and had to shipped back. A replacement was shipped which is working fine. While customer support has been excellent (and frankly a bit too frequent) - having to install, remove, again wire up for debugging, remove, ship back, get a replacement unit and install again (all with the help of electricians) was a bit of hassle. So 5 Stars for Customer Support 1 Star for Product Quality. Post installation of the replacement, the product has been working fine - alexa integration works great. Basic functionality from the app works good too.

Worst product, bought 1 year back thinking Made in India product, nothing work, unable to pair, NO proper case, SONOFF is much much better then this, could not return this anymore. wifi not connection, sometime malfunction due to wifi issue, not showing device offline or not, irrespective of the agree or disagree, device changing the status while try to change, SONOFF is best, however im not promoting this, based on my exp.

The product is performing exactly as projected in the details and is working fine. Apart from the above 15 amp switch, I also have another 6 node switch which is also working fine. The support from the customer tech support for installation and operations was also prompt and correct. This helped us a lot. The time scheduling and wifi alexa control is without any fault. The size of the switch pcb is very compact but sturdy and has fit inside the box below the geyser plug point. I recommend every one to buy the product.

I bought it because it was Indian Brand, but there are some issues:- 1. It does not have a box-like covering like other known brands, felt a little cheap. 2. It does not have an inbuilt On and Off button as in Sonoff's switch, so if the router goes off you have to make the wiring direct, or you can add the switch by yourself in wiring but these many wires make it messy and complex. 3. The Major Problem is while using it with my 1.5 TON AC the switch fluctuates initially after turning ON the AC.

Wrriting review after 2 weeks. Exactly what I needed. Now my mom doesn't need to wake up at 5am to turn on the pump for mcd water. I can't comment on value as I don't buy automation switches that often. It is fast enough to turn on power supply from app as well as google home integration. Auto scheduler is also working as expected. Although I would not advise to install it on your own, Instructions were simple enough. If Instructions are not readable or lost(in my case), tutorial videos are also great. Apparently its much more difficult to get your parents use google home commands 😂
