I like to listen to audiobooks on an older iphone, and I have bought a bunch of different apdaters. This is the best one I have bought. Most reliable, does not break.

Very nice-looking red color and it looked well-made from the exterior. As soon as it arrived, I decided to test the item. Plugged it into my iPhone 13, plugged my Bose headsets into the port, selected music, and sound only came out of left side. I wiggled the wire of the product and the sound cut in and out, shifting from left to right, sometimes cutting out of both sides - a clear short circuit. Once in awhile if I wiggled the wire just right, it would play sound in both side of the headsets, but if I let go of the adaptor, it would short circuit. To be sure, I plugged my headsets into my old iPhone 6 and the headsets worked great. So it wasn't the headsets; it is the wiring inside of the adaptor. Had to return it. Luckily, I tested it before leaving on an international flight. Hope the company will reach out...we'll see how the customer service aspect works out. Addendum: Just received the second one today, only a 1-day delay. Returned the defective one to UPS store no charge. The second one works perfectly, so it now gets 5 stars. The jack is a very tight fit into the port, so make sure you push it in all the way, otherwise, you might think the port is too large and the jack doesn't fit. It does when pushed in all the way (I know, but there's really no other way to say this). Did not receive any communication from the seller, but it's only been a day.

Good for music, podcasts, and even casual gaming. Durability Most cheap adapters die faster than a goldfish. This one? Better-than-average lifespan, especially compared to the “one sneeze and it snaps” $6 versions. But it’s still a small cable — treat it like it’s mortal. Strong, functional, decent audio, and doesn’t feel like a scam.

Initially worked fine, but quit after about 10 uses over the period of the year. Used in static open desk environment while sitting - never constrained, bend, or jammed in the pouch or pocket. Started to cutting of intermittently on and off even without any movement. Useless. Original Apple cheesy looking lasted 4 years... Update JSAUX contacted me quickly (after I reported this problem) - (this is well past 30 days return window) with an offer to send me new replacement part. Seems like excellent customer service. Currently waiting for the replaceent part. Upgraded to 3 stars. I received replacement part (even it is several months after return window closed). Very good and quick customer support! Added one more star (4 stars now).

If you’re as irritated as I’ve been with apple’s bullshit gatekeeping with its technology and headphone adapters, this is the real deal. I’ve spent hundreds going through the dongles through the years, either apples own or knockoffs. They don’t last long, lose sound in one channel, extremely sensitive to any movement, will stop playing constantly. This is the one. Good sound, works great, can move around freely, fairly priced. This is the one you’re looking for. Look no further.

I have bought so many of these in the past and honestly even for the cheap price they are just not worth the hassle. Half the time-like this latest one i bought, they straight up just dont even work out of the package, like they wont even connect to the iphone. If they do work, the sound quality is actually really good but they always ALWAYS break within a month or two. Most of my experiences using these consists of it maybe working correctly for a short time in the beginning- then dealing with it half working. Meaning they constantly disconnect from the phone and you have to take it out and reinsert it trying to reestablish a connection. On its own this is unbelievably annoying but compounded with the fact that im often using them outside to listen to music or podcasts while its raining or snowing- and have to risk getting water inside the charger jack to fix the connection- is beyond irritating and i have almost broken my whole phone before just because this product doesnt do what its supposed to. Theres another amazon product, its a white headphone adapter that doubles as an outlet for headphones and a charger- it costs too much for something that also will break within a few months and i dont even need the charger outlet- but its worth it because it seems to be the only amazon headphone iphone adapter that actually works like its supposed to, opt for that one instead.

Great product! I bought it last month and it conked out just the other day. 27 days it lasted and it worked brilliantly the whole time until it did not. Thumbs up to this guy for lasting longer than some of the other ones that I had previously bought.

Works fine, but seems a bit expensive

Tested with phone calls and works as well as the Apple one ( which appears to be discontinued ) did, also works with Siri so no issues with microphone working. Appears to be well built. Will update if there are any durability issues outside of my typical abuse of these connectors.
