McCann's Instant Irish Oatmeal, Maple & Brown Sugar, 10 Packets

Very good oatmeal. Not as sweet as instant Quaker flavored oatmeal.

First off let me say All other name brands I will give fake names so not to reveal their real ones. Ok,,, I was raised on the old “quake” lol brand,,, I’ll call it that so I won’t have to say their real name but you know the one I’m talking about. Anyway “Said Name” decides to remove a Country Favorite “Aunt Geraldine’s” Iconic Picture from their Syrup and pancake mix for reasons I cannot accept. In fact, I feel the move they made was defeating it’s original purpose by creating the exact same motive. The lady was proud to be named “Aunt Geraldine“ And she won many awards. She also did great things for her community for civil rights and for the race in general in my opinion and in hers. Plus she made a lot of money of which I’m sure she was extremely happy about as well. So I decided with the stupid move made by “The Quake” brand company, that I would no longer buy their products and I began searching for a good quality oatmeal. The way I figured, there had to be something else out there that was far better than their drive-through type packaged oatmeal. That’s why I tried this brand,, “McCanns Irish Maple and brown sugar”, and let me tell you I was not disappointed. The first thing I noticed was the flavor was much more satisfying, richer, and overall just tasted yummy. Secondly the thickness was far better than the old “quake brand”,,, And I didn’t have to add as much water or milk. And third with all of that taken into consideration, the value had to be better and was And third, with all of that taken into consideration, the value just had to be better and it was. So I gave it five stars and it had nothing to do with my feelings toward the old “quake brand” !!!! It was just a better quality that was noticeable from the beginning, as well as a far better flavor and taste. That was also noticed from the first bite in the very beginning. Honestly I just knew there were people out there eating a better oatmeal than I was and luckily I found that brand and will continue eating it for the rest of my life. Ewell Gibbons would be proud of me. LOL thanks everyone. Yummy in Kentucky. Ps. I wonder if they make a syrup and pancake mix? LOL

It tasted great. A little bit sweet but it’s fine. I love McCanns oatmeal. We always buy it. Good value for the money. Cooks quickly. Very filling. Healthy alternative for breakfast. Highly recommend!

I've had better

This oatmeal is so delicious! It doesn’t even taste like instant oatmeal. I poured my water over it and immediately smelled a difference. The smell alone took me back to my childhood on the farm and my grandmother cooking fresh oats from a cloth sack. The taste is amazing, the texture is so comforting, the freshness was surprising, after it filled my belly and heart I was surprised at how it took me “home”. The proverbial icing on the cake is the amazing price for such a high quality product! Thanks

Discontinued at the local store where I always bought this, Amazon once again came to the rescue. I much prefer this oatmeal to Quaker. It’s easy to prepare on busy mornings. Love the maple flavor!

I absolutely love this oatmeal. I love the texture, but most of all, the taste. Maple and brown sugar has been a favorite flavor profile of mine since I was a little girl, so I've gotta be an expert by now...lol Many times anything flavored will have an artificial taste to it and the sweetness is over the top, but McCann's nails it. If you like maple and brown sugar, trust me. You're going to love this oatmeal.

I usually buy Quaker oat meal, but it seems they're not long on Amazon Fresh. I bought this to try out as a replacement and I gotta say, the flavor is good, but it's just too expensive for what you get, IMHO. Still great and will probably buy again eventually.
