PrimaForce Cissus Quadrangularis Extract, Unflavored Powder, 100 Grams

This is the best cissus currently on the market. I have tried others and none can really compare. I have tried the other "bulk" powders sold on Amazon and elsewhere and none were as good. Some were not even actually cissus. Primaforce is a quality company founded by guys who are into bodybuilding and fitness themselves. Their reputation in the industry speaks for itself. I trust these guys. As for the cissus itself, it tastes horrible, but I have an iron stomach and my taste buds have sampled worse things than this powder. If you can not deal with bad tasting things, go for the caps. I am cheap and like powders. I take 2 grams of this stuff divided into 2 doses. That is 1 gram 2 times a day. Once in the morning, once in the evening. You can take this on an empty stomach or with food. On an empty stomach, it may help the stomach lining heal. In India, they use cissus to treat ulcers and gastritis. This stuff helps me with my general aches and pains, especially as I get older and continue to take bumps on the road. There is also a lot of evidence that cissus can help maintain and even increase bone density. This is really important for women who are susceptible to osteoporosis. Try this stuff out,but be warned, it may not work overnight. It takes a couple days, even weeks. This jar will last you 50 days at 2 doses a day, that should be enough time for you to gauge if it is effective or not. My only complaint is the price fluctuates a lot. Right now as I write this review, it is $12.99, a very fair price, I have purchased it for as high as $19.99. Please keep it $12.99!!!!

I started using this product for the claims made on it's ability to enhance joint repair.While my joints do feel better, I can't be absolutely sure I can attribute the improvement to Cissus. I'm continuing to use it for it's superb effects as an appetite suppressant. On the days I forget to take Cissus, my appetite exerts itself with its usual enthusiasm. While I haven't lost weight, I haven't gained any either. Considering that I was so crazy busy at school this winter, hardly having time to exercise or put much effort into managing my characteristically healthy diet, this is good. Very good. I don't mean that I ate cheese burgers, chips and ice cream and still didn't gain weight. Cissus helped me to not eat cheese burgers, chips and ice cream and maintain a health weight. Best of all, Cissus is not a stimulant. A cup of coffee is all of the stimulant I can handle. I should mention, Cissus tastes terrible! I'd give it negative 5 stars for taste. Very bitter. I've found the least painful way to get it down is to mix it with a small amount of apple sauce and just eat it fast. A moment of discomfort for a day of benefit.

Cissus has worked well for me in the past. It definitely reduces recovery times, helps build muscle mass, prevents fat gain, and improves joint health. However, I would really recommend getting the capsules. I have tried mixing the powder with a number of different substances of varying consistencies: from protein shakes to yogurt. The results were...less than desirable. The stuff doesn't exactly taste great. It's not absolutely horrible, but it's pretty bad. With liquids, the majority of the powder always stays on the bottom of the drink, and the rest of it infects the drink with the terrible taste of cissus quadrangularis. With semi-solids (such as yogurt), it does not mix very well. I was able to stomach it by sandwiching the powder between large clumps of yogurt and swallowing the clump hole. However, I still tasted it somewhat. So, I ended up ordering some gel capsules to put the powder in. The price of this product and the gel capsules, plus shipping, wound up being about the same price as the cissus capsules (around $30).

Ordered based on positive reviews for the supplement itself. The jury is still out on the supplement for me as I am not sure it produced any benefit for my joints or any ergogenic benefits I could feel in the gym. I'm not ready to abandoned the supplement, but the Prima Force brand of it needs improvement. The main flaw is the container lacked any instructions on how to take the product. It comes with a small scoop; which is self explanatory enough with regard to dosage. The problem is there are no other instructions as to how you should take it (straight or mixed with a drink). I tried the former and I will tell you the taste is not for the faint of heart. It is strong nearly unbearable tea like flavor, but not like any tea you've ever had. I do not recommend it without a glass of water to wash it down. I also tried mixing it into my protein shake; which was bearable yet the strong flavor still persists. Good luck,.

IVe bought about 20 bottles of this stuff now in the last 5 years. IT works.

Opening the container, I noticed the scoop was CAKED with powder that would not shake loose. When adding to water, the "powder" remained in a clump. Within ONE DAY, I developed a sinus infection. Doctor diagnosed probable cause as mold. He asked if anything had recently been introduced in my life. When I told him about the DAMP supplement, he looked at me like a stupid child. "Wrap it in a garbage bag and immediately take it outside the home." Maybe this company's PILL version works and doesn't come with HEALTH DANGERS.

You will feel warmth and your soreness including knee pains and joint stuffiness,will start to vanish;works as advertised. However,like any supplement its not long lasting and the effects will go soon after. But the brand Primaforce is among the top few.
