Best action camera you can buy.
I bought this camera just in time for a vacation on a cruise to the Bahamas. The camera arrived in a factory packed in perfect condition, both of the batteries were already charged enough for me to test the camera. It worked perfect and it came with a lot of extra items. The video quality is great. I used it for snorkeling, for biking and just relaxing at the beach and I have to say it’s great. The batteries lasted a long time. The waterproof case is great not even a drop off water leak inside even though the camera is waterproof I didn’t try it without the waterproof case. I recommend very good camera and good quality. You won’t regret buying it.

The Akaso 7LE is a great camera and better price
I am recently retired and have a lot more time for surfing and fishing. I've been catching some big waves and big fish and decided it was time to start recording some of the action. I have an old GoPro Hero2, but the batteries are no longer holding a charge and the technology is getting a bit dated. I started shopping for a new GoPro but came across the AKASO 7LE for less than half the price. After doing some research, I decided to give it a try, and so far, I'm very pleased with my purchase. I didn't want to spend a ton of money on more technology and features I may not use, so this camera seemed like the perfect price point. The video and picture quality are excellent right out of the box. If you like to fine-tune your settings, there are plenty of options for photo quality, video resolution, and frame rates. The initial setup was very easy, and connecting the camera to my phone via Bluetooth was straightforward. You can view your videos either on your phone or directly on the camera. One feature I really like is that the camera itself is water-resistant without the case. This is great for fishing, where the camera may get splashed, because I don't always need the extra bulk of the waterproof case. For diving, the case provides the additional waterproof protection needed. The built-in video stabilization is also a nice feature, especially when I'm in my kayak out on the ocean. The camera comes with a large assortment of mounts, clips, and accessories. It was a little overwhelming at first, but once I got everything sorted out, I realized there are plenty of ways to mount the camera and capture video from different angles. PROS: Sturdy camera that feels like a quality product. Screens on both sides for playback and selfies. Water-resistant without the case and fully waterproof with the case. Lots of mounting options for your head, chest, wrist, backpack, neck, and more. Good battery life and comes with two batteries. Great video and picture quality. Very responsive customer support. CONS: The only issue I've found so far is that you need to hold the power button down for a few seconds to turn the camera on. I had some trouble getting it to turn on initially with my big fingers, but I've gotten better at it with practice. Overall, I'm very happy with the AKASO 7LE. For the price, it offers excellent video quality, plenty of features, and a ton of accessories without requiring a major investment. It's been a great camera for capturing my surfing and fishing adventures.

Great alternative to GoPro
Let me give some background on my perspective with this review - given the small fortune I have spent on action cams that are NOT GoPro models, I could have just bought the real deal by now. Generic action cams all market themselves as much better than they actually are and they always fall short compared to a GoPro. This is NOT the case with this Brave 7 LE camera. The Brave LE truly delivers on what it promises. Image quality (both stills and video) and audio quality are great. Lightyears ahead of all the Chinese knock off brands you can get for <$100. Sure, this camera isn't the cheapest, but it IS cheaper than a GoPro. What are the pros to getting a GoPro vs the Brave 7? None. The Akaso has a US location with support and customer service. They have an app to control the camera. Both cameras feature touch screens, 4K resolution, wifi, etc. The only feature I wish the Brave had is a better water resistance. With that said, the Brave DOES offer water resistance without any case, primarily for use in weather where it might get rained on or something like that. It's not an underwater camera without the case. The other thing I wish they offered was a full protective case with the open back for audio purposes. The camera basically gives you two options - record with no case and get full audio quality or record in a water-proof case and sacrifice audio since the case only comes with the water tight back - no optional backing that has the cutouts for audio. All this said, I consider the Brave to be the best alternative to a modern GoPro. The quality is fantastic and the camera comes packed with features. Unless you have a trust fund, I see no reason to buy a GoPro over the Brave 7. In my case, I needed two cameras to capture different angles at the same time, so the quality for the lower pricing was a no brainer for me t be able to buy 2 of these for only a little more than one GoPro.

Budget without feeling budget
I’m actually really happy with this purchase. The first thing that impressed me was how much came in the box for the price. I was expecting to have to turn around and buy a bunch of extra accessories, but they give you pretty much everything you need to get started. The camera itself does the job well, and I didn’t have to break the bank to get a solid action camera. I wasn’t looking to spend GoPro money, so for what I paid and everything that was included, I feel like I got a great deal. Definitely one of those purchases where I feel like I got my money’s worth. Best bang for the buck in my opinion. 💯

Awesome
Great camera for the price! The video quality is surprisingly good, it’s easy to set up, and the battery life has been solid. I use it outdoors and it’s been reliable every time. The accessories included are a nice bonus, and overall it offers excellent value. I’d definitely recommend the EK7000 to anyone looking for an affordable action camera.

GREAT CAMERA WITH FABULOUS ACCESSORIES OPTIONS
Akaso Brave 7LE As a professional architect, I have always needed site and existing condition information in developing projects. Over the years I have used SLR cameras and cell phone cameras and having to carry numerous measurement and drawing tools to get existing information. INow Ican use LiDAR scans and digital measurement tools to get accurate data, but the most important information is the subtle visuals that I can’t go back to double check on a unique item or condition. Photographs always seem to not be exactly pointed in the right direction, or didn’t get a specific issue cause of concept changes. Video provides a more detailed view of what is there, and can capture items that weren’t thought of as important during a on-site survey. In researching all the video cameras available, it was apparent that all cameras do not all have the features I wanted. The Brave 7 LE allowed me to get to a video camera that had the features I wanted at a fantastic price point, and with excellent quality output and ease of use,but even more appealing was the fantastic array of accessories available that allow me to use the camera the way I want. I have a monopole mount that allows steady movement and uniform height viewpoints, a small handheld tripod to allow setup on a surface and record client discussions and important design decisions. Saving the video files in the project directory allows effortlessly recall of forgotten content. The size and light weight makes data gathering easier and more accurate. The ability of the camera to update in connection with my iPhone app was an unexpected bonus. Some of the features that I was less than pleased with have been added and altered via online updates, great feature, and makes me feel this was a fabulous choice. My use so far has been beyond my initial goal. My daughter wants me to record important moments in my “life untold family history” . As II am not a great writer, I have decided to do a personal vlog on the camera to relate family moments that are long past. I think this is going to be a great way to address this task.

Great Camera
Incredible value! Crisp 4K, smooth stabilization, and the front screen is perfect for vlogging. Comes with two batteries and every mount you need all for a fraction of GoPro's price. Highly recommend!

Good features. Great battery. Sharpness and FOV not quite there yet.
I really wanted to like this camera. I mean come on. $140 for a 4K camera with great battery life and many competitive features. I use my action cams mostly for recording longer motocross races. So I need decent resolution and long battery life. I don’t really care that much about image stabilization since I think it makes a very rough track and riding experience look like you’re skiing thru fresh powder. Just my opinion. The camera feels well built and the buttons work reasonably well. They all take a hard press and it’s a little hard to tell if you’ve actuated them correctly. The touchscreen is not up to current GoPro/DJI standards but is plenty usable. These are issues I easily look past considering the price point. The huge assortment of extra accessories is really nice to have and the 2 batteries plus separate charger is how every manufacturer should do it. The remote works quite good although I didn’t use it for what I was doing since battery life was more than adequate and I could just start recording at my truck, ride to the start line, do the race, and have plenty of battery life. The battery life seems very good. The races I run are around 60 min long by the time I”m finished. The battery was only about half used by then. Way better than my Hero4 Black cams. I’ve used GP Hero 4 (my personal cams), Hero 5/6/7, and DJI Osmo Action 2. The DJI Osmo is by far the best camera of them all in terms of functionality and ease of use. Also a great battery. Unfortunately for me I like a really wide angle for the races. The DJI is not wide enough. I really like GoPro’s Superview. That’s probably the biggest reason I won’t be keeping the Asako cam. Even on the widest setting (both at 1080 & 2.7K) it is much narrower than I want. Pretty much a deal killer for me. Secondly the quality of the footage (resolution and clarity) just seems lower than even my nearly 10 old Hero4 Blacks at the same resolution. I’m no video expert and it’s hard to put my finger on it but the footage just looks softer, like it’s slightly out of focus. I only shot in 1080 and 2.7K but comparing it under the same kind of shooting conditions just doesn’t give a good result. I recorded footage with the image stabilization both on and off. I think with it on it pulled the FOV in even tighter and it seemed to give it kind of a swimmy look. With it off it was better but then it also seemed more bouncy than my typical GP footage. But that’s hard to quantify. Last little nitpicks. The full enclosure case works fine but is pretty bulky. A skeleton style case would be a nice option that I would gladly pay extra for, just to get the cam closer to my helmet. Lastly the camera exports the video files in MOV format (GoPro exports MP4s). I didn’t even realize this until my edit software OpenShot had issues importing MOV files where it cuts off the last bit of each file. Not the fault of the Asako cam but it seems from reading around that maybe MOV files are a little more difficult to deal with. Anyhow that was an issue as well. I would have had to buy an MOV to MP4 converter software since the free versions handle only 1-2 GB files which are much smaller than what these cams export. I didn’t see a place to change the export format but maybe I missed it. The Asako app is nothing to write home about but it does serve the basic function of getting the camera aimed and you can do rudimentary review of your footage. Again, just fine at this price point. So I sent this Asako action cam back for a refund. But for me; if they made a real “superview” wide angle and got the quality of the footage sharper I would buy this action cam again immediately. New GoPros for $400+ with all of their own crazy faults that they seem to cycle thru as they release new versions is just a ridiculous proposition. Thanks Asako for making this budget contender! Just a few improvements and I’ll be 1st in line to buy again.

Decent value for its price.
Ease of use for the kids to get into videos/photos. but wifi connection to the app on the phone is rather finicky. otherwise shots are good and quality is decent. kids are enjoying the use of it.
