Real Avid Gun Multitool for 1911 Handguns| 28-In-One Pistol Gun Tool with Screwdriver, Bushing Wrench, Bit Set, Nut Wrenches, Hex Keys, Pin Punch, Pick, File, Holster & More for Gunsmithing

Love it... perfect tool

I like the overall design but what I did not like is the overall weight of this thing. Definitely not something you will carry with you all the time. But good design.

..and has lots of useful tools

Great tool!

This is a sold tool that is well thought out. The tools are decent quality and they are stored securely. Many of the things you want in the field, including appropriate torx heads, are there. This quality comes at the price of weight, but this is actually handy when using the bushing wrench. The bushing wrench works fine except that the checkered bushing retention spring cap on my SR1911 scratched the knife. I am not sure how Real Avid could avoid this and if your spring cap is not checkered this shouldn't be an issue. So my tool will appear used, that is what tools are for, to be used. The knife is very sharp and the different tiny laser sight hex wrenches are well secured. Mine was missing the smallest when it arrived, but Real Avid fixed that right away. Not a perfect tool, but the price is reasonable for the quality and features of the Real Avid 1911 Gun Tool.

I wanted to be able to give this product a 5 start but there is one crucial tool missing a 5/32" hex bit. The Allen wrench for the two piece recoil spring guide. Its kind of hard to field strip a gun when you can't get past the first step. I hope the manufacturer sees this review and fixes this issue on the next model. Update: contacted the company. They are like oh well, we cant help you, you shouldve read the product page. Will definitely reconsider buying if it is from this company. Marketing something specific to a firearm that does not work with a common variant is not a good look.
