Literally perfect. Ignore the negative reviews.
This fan is amazing. I have been looking so long to find something that didn’t take up a ton of room. That would look nice on our lanai and also had good performance. This fan checks all of that. We have a very large lanai. But no ceiling fan supports. It gets too hot during the summer in Florida without air movement. I was so excited to find a tower fan that’s weather resistant. So I took a chance. First. The appearance. It looks really nice. The front is a tan/taupe color with a brushed nickel accent running down the side. The back and base is in gray. It looks very expensive for an outdoor fan. Now the performance. This fan moves some serious air. I can feel it. And see our plants blowing if it’s on high over 15 ft away. It has 4 speeds. Obviously there is some fan noise if it’s on high. It’s the air moving. I saw some people complain about that. Not sure how anyone could make a fan this powerful without hearing the air move. I actually like it. It’s soothing. However on high is about the only setting you can really hear air moving. And again it’s not loud. Just powerful. The other three speeds are pretty quiet. And still move a lot of air. The lowest setting is silent. But you can still feel air moving. I actually prefer this fan over ceiling fans. The amount of air it moves would never be able to come from a ceiling fan. Now the oscillation. People complained about this to. Most tower fans swivel the entire unit. This one does not. The fan itself does not move. But the internal grate inside does go from side to side. And it is enough movement that it covers over 8ft of left to right air movement. You can really tell. So I’m not sure what the complaint is with that. I’m assuming it was done this way to make the fan more weather resistant. The other complaint I saw was people saying the area the air comes out isn’t the whole front of the fan like most towers. That is true. However. It is 20 times stronger airflow out of that area than the strongest tower fan I’ve ever seen. I’m assuming it was designed like this intentionally for concentrated air flow. As well as rain durability. I actually prefer it in a setting where you need powerful air flow. There is no remote. Which I personally don’t care. Very nice simple lighted controls right on the front. If youre on the fence buy it. It’s a great fan. It really cuts the heat down. Even in direct sun. I love it. And we have a happy pup who lays in front of it almost all day now. Before she couldn’t stay out long. Now we cant get her in.

Well-made, nice airflow but non Oscillating. Only provides actual fan operation in upper 8" of unit
Bought this for an outdoor covered area that faces west and therefore gets very warm in the hot afternoon sun. Some of the reviews indicated the airflow may not be great but I have found this to be a simple 5-minutes assembly-to-operational use (removing packaging and breaking down the box it came in included) and a great fan for airflow at least 5-8' away when on the highest setting. There are 4 settings and they are efficient with airflow consistent with the setting type selected. The casing is hard durable plastic, the stand sturdy and a quick "snap" in place for use. Handle on top allows easy adult location movement of the fan, although it is somewhat of a "lug" to move around. Although the product is actually 41.5" x 7.5" in size, the actual fan portion for airflow is in the upper top section and only 8" for blowing airflow (actual cooling). Therefore, it works better for an area where people are sitting. Note: This is a stationery fan. It does not oscillate and therefore it does not move back and forth to distribute air. It is only one-directional - straight ahead. This should be considered before purchasing to assure you are getting the type of fan that works for which you intend.

Great for outdoors
Great for outdoors. Works well. I live in a very hot and muggy climate. This has great airflow, oscillating and 4 speeds. I only gave four stars because the opening for the airflow is smaller than I expected. It still works great and I would definitely recommend it for the price.

I use it indoors because it is powerful and really seems to cool vs just move air.
Best fan I have ever bought.

Nice fan but does not work well in situations where you need to sit close to the fan.
I owned the more expensive ($400) elegant Lasko outdoor fan for over a decade and loved it. Left it outside summer and winter, and after a long time it needed replacing. Kept me cool and kept the mosquitos away. Would give that fan 5 stars!!! That fan was not in stock, so I bought this less expensive ($100) outdoor fan. For my situation it has design flaws. My small patio only has one electric outlet, so I am limited where I can place it without tripping over the cord or an extension cord. That makes some of my patio chairs a few feet from the fan. The fan output is exactly at sitting head height, and has no louver adjustments to aim breeze vertically down. So if you are close, the wind noise in your ears is like a hurricane. Also the oscillation feature is not very wide, and clearly favors the right side output of the fan. I also tried using a reclining zero gravity, chair close to fan, the fan output never hits my body at all. So I modified my fix with a make shift hood to point air down. Solved issue for reclining or sitting upright. Please lower the output vents and/or add vertical vent adjustments in future releases of this product. For now I modified the fan with tape so it is useable when I am sitting close to it.

Works great on our new deck
Just built a new composite 16x14 raised deck and needed a fan for air circulation/movement during no breeze days and evenings and when bugs are becoming annoying. Read the reviews and liked what people were writing about this fan so I took a shot and bought it. We just resided our home so mounting a fan was out of the question. It’s a great size and best of all I can choose from several different output levels of air discharge and also choose to either oscillate or not. It’s super quiet and since it’s weather resistant I leave it plugged in all the time and in the corner on my deck under the roof overhang. Only thing I wish it had was a remote control but it’s really no big deal not having one. We especially like using it in the evening right when mosquitoes start coming out because with the amount of air movement we set it on and using the oscillating feature mosquitoes don’t bother us. We have several other Lasko indoor fans that are tower style too and have been happy with their performance as well. Very good product, I’d recommend this particular fan for your outdoor deck or patio.
