Good Book
Don't be fooled. This may be a Dummies book but it is well written and informative. The authors explain and introduce NLP competently. The Dummies format helps to reduce the psychobabble and keeps the concepts understandable. If you are interested in NLP this is a good place to start.

Solid introduction to NLP as a key communication model
This text provides an easy to grasp and a solid introduction to NLP as primary communication model. The only negative, which can be substantive, is their lack of information re: NLP beyond the 1990's. This can leave the misimpression that NLP has stood still over the past decades. Such could not be further from the truth! NLP is a living, vibrant, growing model which has grown in remarkable ways since the 1990's. Perhaps a good reason for a Part II of the text.

It did what I bought it to do.
I bought it to learn how to change the way I think about things and it has helped, I did not buy it to manipulate people and there's a lot of that covered.

Good. But Too Much Repetition
This book is a good introduction to the concept and practice of neuro-linguistic programming. It is a version that is made for "dummies" like me. Romila Ready started by defining what NLP is, and how it helps a person in daily life. I like concepts like 'clean language' that she introduced in the second half of the book. The overall 'Dummies' structure of clearly highlighting anecdotes, giving jargon alerts, highlighting warnings etc., is good. There are some good concepts and material in the book, but there is also a lot of verbiage. At the end, I was just glad that the book was coming to an end!
