Can you use on faux leather edges

I have some leather shoes that are scuffed. Would it be advisable to use on the scuffs/parts where the leather is worn off instead of just dying them?

Hi Chelsea,I have never seen this product use on anything other than finished edges of leather so I am unsure as to what result you would get. I need something to put on a pool cue leather wrap. Would it hold up under constant use?

If you put a lot of coats on it and depending on the size of the space you need to cover, it would hold up for many uses, I think. On a leather purse handle, it held up fairly well with constant use, but will need to be reapplied after a while. If you want something to hold up forever, I don't think it will.Though, if you are looking to lengthen the life of an item you love to use, this will do the trick. I have been satisfied with it's performance.

You are looking at one new 4 fl oz. (118 mL) bottle of Tandy Leathercraft Fiebing's Black Edge Kote. Use edge kote with projects edges have to be burnished(sealed) and not laced, and its also great for the backs of leather. It should be applied with a piece of felt or a wool dauber before the burnishing because afterwards the edges will not be able to absorb the dye. Clean the applicators with soapy water afterwards.
