MySmile Teeth Whitening LED Light w/Mouth Tray Home Oral Whitening Device

This kit comes with a 9 day supply of whitening gel even though the instructions say to do this for 7 days. I ended up doing the full 9 days, but I’ll explain how I did it at the end. There’s a trick to this and I wish I would have figured it out before day 3, but better late than never, right? It worked for me personally, but may not stimulate the same results for everyone. I would also like to add that I have healthy teeth that whiten well. Hope this helps!! **before treatment** I lightly brush my teeth with charcoal (3-5 mins). I have a jar of it that I bought here on Amazon for like $4 and it lasts forever. Charcoal helps removes stains from your teeth and removing the stains before will help the gel penetrate more effectively. Ta-da! Rinse your mouth to remove the charcoal (I use warm water because I’m impatient) and follow that with a good flossing. **time to treat** Seriously just follow the instructions. They are easy to understand and it takes no time at all. Oh and grab a little towel because if you’re like me you’ll get slobbery a few minutes before the light turns off and it will feel like eternity. Ha! **after treatment** Brush your teeth with your favorite toothpaste and you’re done. I use an ultra soft toothbrush when I do this because of the amount of brushing. I split the treatment up a bit because my gums and teeth started to become sensitive around day 6, which is normal for me, so I waited a few days before starting the last 3 treatments. Next time I will do a 5 and 4 split, but of course you can customize it to fit you. Silly me forgot to take a before photo, but I’ve had plenty of compliments. I started at solid 5 on the tooth chart they provide you, but I am about a 2 or 3 now. That honestly depends on the lighting. I’ve read a lot of reviews that the light quit working, but I haven’t had that problem yet. I will find out in a few months when I do this all over again. Overall, I don’t believe that I would have achieved the results that I did if I hadn’t of taken the extra steps, but I would probably say the same for any other whitening gel provider. This one was on sale when I purchased it, but still affordable at normal rate. Alone it would have probably gained me 1 shade, however, using the charcoal method alone would have only gained 1 and that one I know for a fact (that’s why I have the charcoal in the first place). The 2 methods together really made the difference.

I just finished a week of whitening with this kit, and I'm more than pleased with the results. The mouthpiece was comfortable, even with the light attached. The LED unit is very light and you don't really have to clinch to keep everything in place. My teeth whitened three levels using the unit for 30 minutes, each day, and since I really didn't want them to be that fakey, blinding white that over-whitening can produce, I got exactly the results I wanted. Additionally, I experience NO added sensitivity. Totally great! Now, three peices of advice: 1. Do not overfill the mouthpiece with gel! If you get the gel on your gums, it WILL burn. You can wipe it off and everything's good, but although the gel is not the strongest you can buy, it's still impressively strong. Don't leave it on your gums, skin, or clothes. 2. Take the mouthpiece out, while leaning over a sink. You will have some drool caught in the mouthpiece, and better down the drain than all over you. 3. Be careful when removing the mouthpiece not to drop the LED part. I apparently knocked it against something and the LED attachment disconnected from the groove that holds it to the mouthpiece. It broke off about half an inch on one end when it hit the floor. Even that wasn't a problem, though. It reinserted and held securely with what remained for the next five days while I finished my treatment, and I'm sure it will continue to do so, as long as I'm careful. My experience was excellent with this product, and I wouldn't hesitate to buy it, if I were you.

It works! There's a card included that I assume is meant to indicate how many treatments you'll need depending on the yellowness of your teeth. Based on which color matched my teeth best, it looks like I'll need 4-5 treatments to get the "full benefit", whatever that may mean to you based on your preferences. I've done 2 treatments so far, 2 nights in a row. I am definitely seeing improvement already, even after the first. My teeth are INCREDIBLY sensitive, I can't use strips, especially on my bottom teeth. After the second treatment my teeth felt a little sensitive, but it's nothing compared to using strips. I will probably do the next treatments every other day, just in case. I saw a lot of reviews about the LED light not working. There is a small plastic circle in between the batteries which is meant to protect the batteries during shipping so the light DOESN'T turn on and burn out before the product is received. Once you remove that it turns on fine. All of this is included in the instructions. However, this was just my experience. Overall, it's a good product and reasonably priced. I don't think I'll need to use more than one syringe to get what I need. 4 stars instead of 5 because it makes my teeth a liiiiiittle bit tender (this is just the nature of whitening though) and the taste is hardly enjoyable (obviously). Would recommend!

Pros: the kit was packaged very nicely, easy to assemble, contained adequate amount of the gel to use for 9 full days/treatments, and the light worked and was easy to operate. Cons: I feel like it made a minimal difference in whitening my teeth. Maybe 1 shade? I have attached my before/after 9-day treatment picture, and tried to take it with the exact same lighting both times (so many of the before/after comparison pics on here have completely different lighting and filters, that makes it impossible to compare!) Sensitivity: I had an odd experience with this. Every treatment was completely fine with no stinging/burning/etc EXCEPT randomly the 7th treatment really stung/burned my gums and stained them white for about 12 hours in a couple of spots. I have no idea why it did that, as it used it the same way each time. And the 8th and 9th treatments had no issues, pain, or staining. Altogether, I didn't feel it was worth the money for the minimal change it made. Perhaps would have been more impressive if I had more yellow teeth to start. Will likely try another method for whitening in the future.

These are my initial impressions after examining the contents of the kit and using it for the first time. I paid for it in full and received no compensation from anyone for sharing my opinion. The price point is excellent compared to similar kits. The kit is very well organized In a sturdy box and extremely easy to assemble for use. The hardest part was removing the top battery and removing the thin clear/bluish disk between the two coin batteries. It was easy to dispense the gel onto the front walls of the mouthpiece. I found it easy to place the device securely into my mouth and arrange my lips comfortably over it. It is important to ensure that your front teeth are pushing firmly against the front walls of the mouthpiece where the gel is located, and I rechecked the placement periodically throughout the process. When ready, I pressed the button to start the timer and light. For reference, my teeth are not terribly yellow and tend to whiten relatively easily. I have started drinking coffee again recently and wanted to deal with the minor staining I have noticed. My husband and grandson agreed that my teeth went from level 4 to level 3 on the chart that came with the kit after the first use. My husband’s teeth have a much yellower tone than mine. I will update this review once he has used it and I have used it a few more times. I should be able to get mine to a 1. My only complaint is that this kit does not contain a product to desensitize and remineralize the enamel as some of the more expensive kits do.

I have never used an at home whitening kit before. I read through the reviews. Several people recommended using a charcoal toothpaste prior to whitening so that is what I did. I found some for around $5 on amazon. Step 1: Brush with warm water and charcoal paste. Step 2: Rinse mouth thoroughly. Step 3: use My smile whitening kit for 10 -15 minutes, as directed. Step 4: Rinse mouth. Step 5: Brush teeth with cold water and regular toothpaste. Step 6: don’t eat or drink anything for 1 hour. When I started my teeth were off the color chart stained. They were yellow with coffee and soda stains. I would say they were at a 13++. I am only on day three of using the kit, and my teeth have already dropped to around shade 4.5-5. That is more than 8 shades difference. My upper gums are a little sensitive immediately after the whitening, but within an hour or two, they are back to normal. I haven’t noticed any tooth sensitivity. I plan to continue using for 7 straight days. Then use as needed after that. If i develop any sensitivities I will alter my plan, and update my review. UPDATE: After day 5 I did notice some tooth sensitivity, so I did wait for 2 days before using the kit again. Then I whitened every other day for 3 days. All in all it was a total of 8 days of whitening over 12 days. My results are pretty great. I went from a shade of 13++ down to a 3. Which is quite a significant difference. I would definitely recommend this product to others. I will be use this again in 30 days for a refresher for sure. As directed of course.

Used for a week and stopped working as the bulb burned out. I thought it was the battery. Even with a new battery it didnt work.

I so far love this product. My teeth were god awful yellow. I’m a coffee drinker - heavy. I was pregnant in all of 2018, and I breastfeed in all on 2019 so I wasn’t able to use chemicals to whiten my teeth. I finally stopped breastfeeding and immediately purchased MySmile. I read the reviews and loved every one. They give you a chart to decide how f****d up your teeth are and mine were seriously close to a 10/13. I’ve used the product for 3 days now (in conjunction with a charcoal whitener toothpaste as someone else recommended) and my teeth are WAY noticeably whiter. No joke, I used it 2 times and then went to a family function and people were telling me how nice my smile was (I mean, they were pretty yellow before so anything would be an improvement at this point). I have sensitive teeth and there is NO PAIN with this gel. None. I thought everyone was lying, but they are telling the truth. I’m actually shocked. It’s also really easy to use. It took me less than 2 min, If that, to get it set up and in my mouth. I will totally use this product for the long haul. Great job My Smile!

I've used many whitening products over the years and they are either ineffective or cause sensitivity. I have used whitening strips and they have been effective but the pain was unbearable as I have very sensitive teeth and I was looking for something different and affordable. I honestly think I have finally found it in MySmile kit. I saw effects from the first use and I have now used it twice and my teeth look so much whiter already and I have experienced only little sensitivity for maybe 20 minutes after the treatment. For me that is very good and if your teeth aren't that sensitive then I doubt you will experience any at all. This kit is also the same price as my whitening strips but I can use this over and over again (yes, I'd need to buy refills but they're not as expensive). It is also quicker than whitening strips (10 minutes instead of 30) and it is easier. There are other devices like this one on the market but they are very expensive and probably do the same thing or are harsher for your enamel. I like that this doesn't use hydrogen peroxide which can damage your enamel. The taste of the gel is not strong or unpleasant if that's what you're worried about. It washes out quite quickly too in comparison to whitening strips. If you want the see before and after photos you can go on the American amazon and search for the same product. There are more photos there than on this one. That's what I did before. I won't post my photos because the lighting doesn't really do it justice but I assure you, they are much whiter in real life. I am not sure if I will use 9 treatments because my teeth weren't that yellow to start with but I will keep the remainder for any top ups. I would recommend this purely because it works and that it doesn't cause sensitivity like other harsher products.

Best teeth whitening product of all time. I've used the strips and for me, they were a complete waste of time and makes your teeth sensitive, and for nothing. No cons with this product for me. No sensitivity issues at all and definitely made my teeth whiter. Not crazy white like people on tv, but noticeably whiter than before. I used the cotton bud method. Fantastic. Money well spent.

The retainer is also very durable. 3. It’s very easy to use. You don’t spend more than a few minutes with prep and clean up. 4. The gel pens look intimidating, but aren’t. Just go slow when you put it on the retainer. 5. It works. But for it to work, the user must use it properly. Tips that worked for me. 1. When you get the mouthpiece, give several hours to charge it. Don’t rush in. Charge it fully first. The charging mechanism is brilliant! The magnetic charger made it super easy. 2. It is best to brighten your teeth just before you go to bed so you don’t think about eating afterwards. 3. Finally, there must be a way to keep the retainer moved all the way forward in your mouth so it is as close as possible.to your teeth. I just held it in place with my teeth and used my hand to keep it forward. For 10 minutes? Fine. Suggestion Perhaps you could provide an optional, Benefits 1. I have very, very sensitive teeth.
