When I first opened it I was worried it might be cheap as it felt a little thin, but it was only that I have never used one of these card mats before. The back clings a bit to the table to stay in place, and the top is smooth and has a soft, classy feel. Cards move better, slide easily across the surface the way they are supposed to. Makes cups and balls a bit easier as it kills the clanking sound of my aluminum cups on the table top, and allows the cups to slide easily about. And it just looks professional to have this surface to work on. Look carefully at the measurements, some are larger, others smaller, perhaps measure paper and try ot out to get the size that works vest for you.

Received the pad and cannot do any tricks in it as there is a large stitch running down it as if two pads were sewn together
