I have plenty of swatch sticks, but sometimes I still can’t decide on a color without seeing it on. The excess polish remover was destroying my nails, so I decided to try peel off. This stuff is great! I’ve just started experimenting, but here are a few tips: -Use 2 coats every time. One coat is too thin to peel off effectively and the color polish may manage to soak through to the nail, necessitating remover to get it off. Consider using a regular base coat over the 2 coats of peels base, especially if you need a ridge filler. The peel base doesn’t protect from staining and makes ridges more pronounced. The regular base cost doesn’t inhibit the peelability whatsoever -Let each coat of peel dry *completely* before adding the next peel coat or any base or color coats on top. I wait at least a full 5 minutes before adding the next coat. If the coats are even slightly wet, the following coat will bond to the one below and make it’s way to the nail plate and adhere. If this is a color or regular base coat, again, you’re looking at polish remover to get it off your nail. -Don’t touch the skin or flood the cuticles with the peel base. Doing this will cause the base coat to lift and peel off earlier, just like it would for regular polish. This base coat is very watery. Wipe the brush off well on the rim of the bottle. A little goes a long way! -Don’t wrap the tips with the peel off base coat, but do wrap them with polish and top coat. This way, when the other polishes chip at the tips, the peel off is unaffected and won’t all peel off together. You may need a touch of remover to get any polish under or on the tips, but it’s a necessary evil -I haven’t tried this yet, but if you’re looking at a longer lasting manicure it’s said you can only do a swipe or two down the middle of the nail. In my experience, any part of the nail not covered in peel base will need remover to get the polish off, so I’m not sure how much or how well the peel effect will be with this method, but it’s worth a shot! I haven’t worn my manicures too long with the peel base because like I said, I’m usually just testing swatches before redoing a regular manicure. In the one case I did leave it on, I was able to shower, go to dinner, and do some dishes and household cleaning (recklessly, but with rubber gloves!) over 2 days before seeing my first chip. It held up to my usual multiple-times-daily application of cuticle oil and various hand creams too. I could’ve kept it on longer without being too bothered but I was in the mood to change it anyway. I’ve had regular manicures do worse! YMMV with wear time. I’ve seen some people say they get the same west time as with regular base coats and others have it popping off before they’re don’t paining their manicure. I assume it’s a body chemistry thing. Make sure to prep well, remove cuticle (not proximal mail fold!), and wash hands well with a soap without any oils/use remover or alcohol or other nail dehydrator first, just as you would for a full regular manicure. Since I peel it early when testing colors while the polish on top is still wet, it can be kind of tricky to get it to peel, but peel it does, all in one piece, and with little to no mess. The drier the polish, the easier the peel. So far, it does what I need it to and I have no complaints! I intend to try using it under my manicures more often to see if I can avoid polish remover altogether, especially since I like to change my polish as frequently as possible once I get tired of it. I’ll update if I have any other feedback or insight.

This is the first peel-off base coat I've tried so I can't compare it to others, but this one works pretty well. It's really easy to apply and dries quickly (faster than regular nail polishes). The brush looks a little wonky (the ends are sort of rough instead of smooth, like maybe the brush hairs weren't cut right) but it's still workable and doesn't really cause any problems with application. As for how long it lasts, I looked at several reviews for peel-off base coats and found that you can't really expect them to last more than a few days. However, this one usually lasts me at least 4 days and sometimes up to a full week, so I'd say the wear time is pretty good. The thicker the nail polish layers over it are, the faster it will peel up, so regular nail polish lasts me much longer than gel polish with this base coat. If I only use one or two coats of regular nail polish over this base coat, it can be difficult to remove after only 3-4 days, but if I wait longer it becomes easier to remove. With more coats used it's pretty easy to remove, especially if I used gel polish. When my nails have absorbed a lot of water (e.g. if I took a long shower or was washing dishes without gloves on), it will come off really easily. Oiling your nails will also make it come off faster. Usually if I plan to take a particularly long shower, I do a manicure with only thin coats of nail polish so that my polish won't lift. Overall, I'm very satisfied with this product and find it very easy to use as long as I use it properly and keep in mind its limitations due to its intended purpose.

Those of us who are of a certain age will remember Tinkerbell Cosmetics. The best part of their products, and the only part that I really remember, was their peel off nail polish. I probably owned 2 or 3 bottles as a youngster, and they were most assuredly all somewhat boring shades of pink. I really liked these polishes simply because of the minor thrill of being able to peel them off within 10 minutes or so of painting them on. Eventually, Tinkerbell Cosmetics disappeared, along with my childhood. However, those looking to relive the thrill of using their nail polish need not worry. The BO-PO polish reappeared on the market some years ago, and in much bolder colors. I received two bottles of UNT Sun Envy along with my two bottles of Ready For Takeoff. One bottle is a odd melon flesh color (NV040) and the other is sort of green/silver (NV135). I used ROT base coat with NV135 and OPI base coat with NV040. With NV040 I used three coats of polish and found it still streaky. I didn't use top coat and found that it lasted for two days before chipping. With NV135, I found that it looked more gold colored on the nail and was still see through after 2 or 3 coats. I had tip wear with this particular polish, which I attribute to the ROT base coat. As far as the base coat goes, it didn't fall off in the shower, or while washing my hands. ROT takes a while to dry and smells of glue. It doesn't peel off cleanly, the way it does for Youtube wunderkind Simply Nailogical. Recently, I used ROT on a thumbnail, allowed it to dry, then painted on a red OPI polish and a glitter topper. The red polish was a smeary mess so I tried to peel it all off. It would not peel, so I had to use acetone. On a different nail, I had 1 coat of ROT, 3 coats of a Nicole by OPI polish, and a glitter topper. Today it was solidly stuck to the nail. So far, the base coat has failed twice. I used different brands/colors/glitter/non glitter polishes on other nails. There is quite a bit of tip wear and a small amount of chipping, despite the wrapping of the tips with polish and fast drying top coat applied. I won't be using it with my holo polishes. Last night, I used ROT, let it dry, then used a discontinued holo polish made by Butter London. I used three coats of polish and fast drying top coat. The polish never really felt dry, but it also didn't smear or chip through two showers and one breakfast. This afternoon, I bumped the nail on a coffee carafe and the polish mostly peeled off. The price of holo is too dear for me to use a peel off base coat with it. So, in summary, Ready For Takeoff peel off base coat is okay. It peels somewhat satisfactorily and lasts almost as long as UNT says it does. I have included a photo of the polishes I was sent. It is an artistic shot. I call it "Kartoffeln mit Nagellack". I hope that in some small way I have succeeded.

I recently started using a lot of glitter nail polish, and was getting really sick of taking it off. It took me forever, I used a lot of cotton pads and nail polish remover, and there was always a little residue left anyways. I decided to try this peel off base, even though I thought it was a little pricey. I’m so happy I did. The nail polish almost always peels off in one piece, which is very satisfying and convenient. There is sometimes some residual nail polish, but it’s very minimal, and a little nail polish remover takes it off easily. However, like some people have said, it works a little TOO well. The first day I wore it, my left index finger polish popped off all in one piece. This isn’t a huge problem for me, as I use my hands a LOT and am still perfecting my manicure skills, so I am thrilled if I get two or three days out of nail polish without chipping. Because of this, I change my nails pretty much every other day, and this takes away the hassle of taking it off with nail polish remover. I just pop it off, clean them up a bit, and paint them again. If you want them to last longer, push your cuticles back and clean your nails off with PURE ACETONE. Also, if you want to, buff the top layer of your nails down a bit (When you take away the shine of your nails you should be good). Then apply a VERY thin layer. I found if I do a really, really thin layer, the polish doesn’t come off all in one piece, but it does still come off easier, plus is lasts longer. Then when you paint your nails, make sure to wrap the tips and edges of your nails with polish. Love this product and would recommend to anyone who hates the hassle of removing their nail polish, or anyone who likes to change their nails frequently.

Been looking at this for a while. Saw it as a fave of someone I often watch their stuff. Wanted to try it myself. I don't love the price, but being both 7 free formula, and free shipping, I can live with it. I must say it does work perfectly as expected. One fairly thin coat dried between 2 and 3 minutes. Too thick will take longer. But you don't need it thick. I've tried it with huge chunky glitters and smaller glitter polish. Peels almost everything in one piece. Tiny particles remained, but no acetone was required to remove them, but obviously could have been used if preferable. I also think that better polish application-to-base coat ratio would've eliminated the leftover chunkies too. I have only tried it a couple times because I like my mani's to last a full week, 5 days at least...so the need for peel off regularly, isn't a big need of mine. But I'm glad I have it. It'll help with very textured or chunky polishes... easier removal. Also, if I ever do choose a shorter term mani, I'll definitely use this as my base too. I'll add this. You CAN have a long lasting mani with peel off if you wrap the polish and top coats around the tips and edges. If you don't wrap the tips, premature peel off is very possible, and your mani won't last long. (Maybe that'll help you prolong your mani.) Also, the unexpected free polish gift they sent was a very nice touch. I love that kind of customer service stuff. That, combined with the quick shipping and amazing packaging...and the fact it has a 7 free formula that works VERY well...I'd definitely buy this again and recommend it too.

Easy to peel off. If you want it to peel off like it does in Nailogical's "peel porn" videos then you want to first put lotion on & around your nails or rinse your nails under warm water. That really helps make it a satisfying peel. You need to use a good top coat "taco" otherwise even the smallest chip may cause your whole nail to peel off. Personally I think if you wear a nail polish color/design for a 1 to 2 days then this is perfect for you! If you wear a nail polish color/design for longer then I'd use a normal base coat. If I wash the dishes then they peel off all by themselves because of the warm water. Same with showering. It's perfect if I'm going out for a night out and only need the nail polish for that one night. Tl;dr Good nail polish, peels off easy. Doesn't last long, if I'm showering or washing dishes then the nail polish peels off all by itself. This can be frustrating, but it's perfect if I only need a nail polish color/design for a night out.

PROS: - Dries Quickly (faster than other glue-based peelable base coats) - Easy to apply for smooth nail polish application - Peels off very easily and in one piece (with proper lubrication) - see tip below - Helps to keep nails healthy and strong - non-drying and allows nail oil to penetrate to the nail CONS: - Like most peelable base coats, this will pop-off when you least expect it-especially if you use your hands a lot. For example, my index finger on my right hand (and sometimes my thumbs) always falls off prematurely, as I use it the most. Sometimes, on the very same day of application. - The more you oil your nails, the easier it pops-off when you least expect it - see tip below. TIPS: - For smoother removal, apply oil around cuticles and nails for lubrication. I also find that an orange/wooden stick works the best to easily push off the polish. - Avoid situations where your nails might be submerged in water for more than 5 minutes. Ergo, wear gloves when doing cleaning, dishes or any kind of messy work. If you can keep your hands dry, especially during showers and baths then thoroughly wash them afterwards, the nails might have a better chance of lasting up to a week or more, at the very least up to three days. I find one can wash the hands (and sometimes dishes) many times in a day, however, showers/bath seem to be this base coat's weakness. SUMMARY This product basically does what a peel off base should do, without damaging the nails. Acetone/Nail Polish Remover tend to leave me with dry, peeling nails, but this saved my nails. If you can take the extra effort to avoid submerging your nails in water for long periods of time and are careful with your nails, then you will find this product incredibly useful - at least for the odd times you wear glitter polish.

My first impression is that this stuff is crazy excellent. First off, I found that it takes quite a while to fully dry enough to put your lacquer over it. I'd give it a full 10 minutes or so just to be on the safe side. I then did two coats of lacquer, followed by one coat of Seche Vite quick dry. Then, when that was super, fully 100% dried, about an hour later I topped it all off with a UV gel top coat a cured that. Then I went about my business for the rest of the evening. Woke up, worked out, did some dishes, took a shower, and had no issues with any lifting. I couldn't handle waiting any longer, so I tried peeling off my thumb. Voila!! It came right off, with just a bit of effort. Zero nail damage. I peeled another nail just for the heck of it, same experience. So - I've repolished the two nails - one with lacquer, Seche Vite and no UV gel; the other with two coats of UV gel polish followed by UV gel top coat. I'm going to leave them alone now and see just how many days I get out of them. UV gel polishes are so great for durability, but wow, do they trash your nails even if you remove them carefully with soaking and gentle scraping. I'm super hopeful that the combination of this base coat with the UV gel polish will be the winning combo for me! And yes, you have to be very careful when you use this stuff with regard to flooding your cuticle. Leave yourself a nice little gap between your basecoat and cuticle. Same with the polish - keep it of of your skin. It looks nicer that way, anyways :)

Habe schon den einen oder anderen Peel-off-Unterlack probiert, da mich Nagellackentferner, vor allem wenn es schnell gehen muss, oft nervt. Bisher war ich nie so ganz zufrieden, da entweder der Lack sich schon bei der kleinsten Berührung gelöst hat oder beim Auftrag des eigentlichen Decklacks unschöne Unregelmäßigkeiten gezeigt haben. Nicht so mit diesem Lack! Nach dem Auftragen verhält er sich fast wie ein üblicher Unterlack, liegt glatt am Nagel an. Und mit dem Überlack hält es bis zu einer Woche. Und wenn man dann den Lack loswerden will - das Abziehen ist auch ganz einfach, fast wie ein Nagelsticker. Daher lohnt sich die Investition, auch wenn der Lack etwas mehr kostet als die meisten Peel-off-Lacke auf dem Markt.

Come peel off è fantastico, forse un po' troppo. Non c'è smalto che non si rimuova con questo, ma attenti agli urti perché lo smalto potrebbe saltare via in un baleno con questa base.

Brilliant product! Ordered after seeing it reviewed and used by @holotaco. Can be used with gel or regular polish. The gel polish is thicker so, more prone to accidental popping off but, I wasn’t being particularly nail friendly that day. So far, recent mani lasted for 4 days and no sign of peel with regular polish. No damage to nail bed. Easy to remove gel and glitter. I’d recommend using gloves when washing up but, showers and baths have been fine. Makes a quick mani change possible and, no scraping or soaking in acetone ever again! I wouldn’t use if I was going on holiday for two weeks though as, not sure the longevity would stretch that far. Seriously, try it!

Vraiment top pour protéger sa plaque ongulaire, je l'utilise avec une base gel peel off (jello jello ou yogo zombie), ça évite les arrachements ! Je ne l'applique que sur moi-même, et en petite quantité au centre de l'ongle, car il peut vraiment faire le design se décoller au bout d'un jour seulement ! Mais sur ma plaque et comme je l'utilise, il tient bon jusqu'à ma dépose :)
