This product is worth the money. My dog gets so hot sometimes and she loves to lay on this mat. You can even throw it in the washer when it needs it! Great product!

I have to say this cooling mat wasn't exactly as I expected but that is my own fault for not paying attention. I tried purchasing a cooling mat a few years ago for my pup and it was like plastic-y feeling and had some kind of gel in it to keep your dog cool. Well my dog didnt really lay on it much and it was kind of heavy. So I returned it. Seeing we are seasonal campers and spend a ton of time outdoors and it gets pretty hot I thought I would try again with the cooling mat to see if she would use it. To my surprise this isn't what I expected but its better. My pup lays on it all the time and its not heavy at all. There is no plastic-y feel to it either. It is made of all fabric which means it is WASHABLE. I have already washed and dried it in my machine and it came out perfect. No shrinkage or deformation. One of the stitches that holds the edging on did come apart but that was no issue for me as I just threw it on my sewing machine and it was fixed in no time. I am not really sure how this mat works but it does actually feel like a few degrees cooler when you touch it. My pup has shorter legs and a stalky build, she weighs about 65lbs and she fits perfectly on this mat.

Yeesh, pay attention to the measurements of the size you are ordering. And be sure to understand what this exactly is, and what it isn't. It isnt a mat, it doesnt have cooling gel or other material in it. It is a cooling material that doesnt trap heat. It can feel cool to the touch, but it seems to mostly not trap heat. Which is a very helpful for temp regulation. When presented with laying on this or laying on the material of their bed (fleece), they choose this. I have basically layers of foam material wrapped in a microfiber fleece blanket. It equates to about the length and width of a twin sized bed. I put this on half of it. Each one of my dogs (separate times) chose to lay on this instead of the regular blanket. Can place on bare floor. Wont be any cushioning, but the blanket seems to be preferred over laying on bare floor (and they also like laying on bare floor). Again, I think the heat isnt trapped under them. Though cant be sure. Side by side with another blanket I bought, they prefer that over this. But I am still pleased with this purchase. I figured if they didnt like it for day time use, I would put it on our bed as they sleep with us. If you need active cooling, then either a water filled or gel filled mat might be more appropriate. Or take some water bottles or ziplock bags, fill with water (lay bags flat, maybe doubt bag), freeze it, then place under a blanket like this for dogs (or cats) to lay on or lean on.

Was not what I was expecting. It’s cool to touch but doesn’t seem to last long. Would not order again. I even tried freezing it and just don’t stay cold long.

Wow! I have a funny, quirky little chihuahua who we have been finding laying in the tile since it has gotten hot. I wasn’t even sure if he would use it, but gave it a try. I placed it on the floor and had him stand on it a minute. When I let him go, he laid right down on it. Yay! It makes me happy when I see him gravitate to the pad. I’ve tried to put it on the couch for him but he doesn’t use it there. So I give it 5 stars for being pet friendly and for ease of use.

I use it for menopause sweats. It stays cooler longer than other cooling items

I'm in an RV and it is very hot for summer I have three cats and a dog I thought this would help. It reminds me of the old robes that ladies used to wear like in the 60s and 70s that polyester. If your house is already cool then yes this would be cooler than laying on the carpet or maybe the couch but if it's already warm this becomes warm my dog laid on it but once he made it hot he got off of it. He will lay on it when the house is cool the cats do not like it at all LOL
