Zebco 33 Spinning Reel and Telescopic Fishing Rod Combo

This rod reel combo has caught me more fish than any other I have. It is so much fun and convenient. I’ve caught an everything from crappie sunfish blue gill large and small mouth bass. It has been my go To Confidence setup for a year still using orig reel. Reel is strong and has been reliable this whole time good line to. Would recommend if you’re looking for a compact throw and go setup it won’t let ya down or break the bank!!

Truth be told, I bought this for the rod, the reel was replaced almost immediately with a Shimano/Pflueger/etc. to make an UL fishing setup. The rod is a little longer than other telescopic UL rods but it pleasant to use. The hand grip isn't as comfortable as a 90+ dollar rod but it serves just fine for four hours of fishing. I just wish there were some markings on the rod to help line up the eyelets when you deploy the sections of rod out. I still tried the reel out and it works fine, the line it comes with isnt horrible, and it does the job but simply isn't as smooth as the reels I have available to me, but otherwise is perfectly usable as is and if this rod/reel combo were all I had on a fishing trip, I would not feel underequipped.

I’ve only used it once so far, but quality seems really good considering it was only $20. It held up we in my back pack as I hiked in the woods, and worked well on the trout stream. Time will tell but for the price I’m happy.

Quality seemed low, but you get what you pay for. The plastic end cap that's supposed to hold it together doesn't fit correctly.

My fly got hung up and upon trying to free the fly, neither the 6lb line, 4lb leader or the knot failed but the rod itself snapped in half and slid down the line. The leader knot eventually failed and the top three segments got taken away by the current. Big bummer on day 2/5 of a backpacking fish-for-food trip. The reel had about 20 casts on it when the rod broke - it seemed to work well until it became dead pack weight.

Got the 5 footer, easy to put into your backpack and head off trail....works great.

This is a nice is a nice little rod and reel combo. This is a short rod, but is easy ro use and easy to deploy. Despite the size the rod and reel are fairly durable. It preformed well on the water and did reel in well.

Awesome portable combo. I did change the reel out but the rod has been my go to telescopic. I have slayed over 20 trout with it already with no issues!
