Great replacement for Peloton stock saddle!
2025 was a disaster for me. No physical fitness. Lots of binge eating, lots of stress. I decided 2026 wasn’t going to be a repeat so I got on my Peloton. I love cycling but let me tell you, the Peloton stock saddle ain’t all that. Cue my search for a better saddle. I tried the Bi-Saddle (which showed me I need a cutout as well as a wider seat), the “comfort saddle” (10.5 inches wide but the nose was so wide I was getting friction burns on my thighs and there wasn’t enough chamois cream in the world to make it stop), and the Velmia touring saddle (ding ding ding, we have a winner). The Velmia wins in every category. It’s approximately 7.32 inches wide in the rear and the nose is 1.75 inches wide. It has a cutout in just the right place so you don’t need to take a booty break every 30 seconds. It has padding but it’s the right amount to support your sit bones without being so plush you get saddle sores as the cushioning breaks down. (The Peloton stock saddle is 7 inches wide with a nose of 1.75 inches wide. Comfort saddle was 10.5 inches wide and nose was 2.25 inches wide—I provide this as a point of comparison.) It’s day 1 but I can already tell this is the right saddle. Now I’ll be able to finish century rides (imperial) instead of having to DNF after 10 miles from friction burns and chafing and I can’t wait. This saddle has huge bang for the buck and is the best replacement for the peloton stock saddle that I have found. 6/5 stars. Velmia, you hit it out of the park with this one!

Comfort Meets Craftsmanship: A Saddle That Redefines the Ride
The VELMIA Bicycle Saddle is proof that comfort and performance don’t have to live at opposite ends of the spectrum. After installing it on my hybrid bike and putting it through long commutes and weekend rides, I can confidently say this is one of the best-value upgrades out there—designed with real riders in mind and built to deliver lasting comfort and quality. Build Quality & Construction: Right out of the box, the saddle feels substantial and well-made. The outer cover is a durable, waterproof synthetic material that holds up beautifully against rain, heat, and dust. The seams are tight, the surface finish is premium, and the reinforced underside gives the saddle a solid, professional feel. Every component—from the rails to the cushioning—feels like it’s made to last. Comfort & Ergonomics: This is where VELMIA shines. The ergonomic shape provides excellent sit-bone support, while the center relief channel prevents pressure buildup during longer rides. The multi-zone foam cushioning feels dense but forgiving, absorbing vibration without turning mushy. Even after 20+ miles, comfort remains consistent—no numbness, no soreness, just a smooth, supported ride. It’s the kind of saddle that makes you forget about the saddle entirely. Mounting & Fit: Installation is straightforward—standard rails fit most seat posts easily, and fine-tuning the tilt and angle is simple. Once tightened, the saddle stays put—no slipping or creaking, even on rough pavement or trail surfaces. Durability: After weeks of daily rides and unpredictable weather, the saddle still looks and feels new. The waterproof coating cleans easily, the foam retains its shape, and the rails show zero signs of corrosion. Pros: Premium build quality and sturdy construction. Exceptional comfort and ergonomic support. Waterproof, easy-to-clean surface. Secure mounting with no movement or noise. Outstanding value compared to high-end comfort saddles. Cons: Slightly heavier than most stock seats (but the comfort tradeoff is well worth it). Use Cases: Ideal for commuting, touring, or casual long-distance rides. Perfect for cyclists looking to upgrade from a basic factory seat without spending a fortune. Compared to high-end saddles from Selle or Brooks, the VELMIA Saddle delivers nearly identical comfort, weather resistance, and build quality—at a fraction of the price. In short: it’s not just a seat upgrade—it’s a total riding experience upgrade.

Very nice looking saddle, like the ergonomics.
Updated 11/16/20 It's been about 10 weeks since I purchased the Velmia. I've put a few hundred miles on it (400+). Normally, I put about 100+ miles a week but since the weather is colder/rainier it's limiting. But that also means that on the nicer days, I ride further than my normal loops. Instead of my usual, daily, 12-16 mile loops, I've been doing 22-35 mile loops whenever I can. I mention all that to say that the Velmia seat is MUCH more comfortable than I originally gave it credit for! I've been taking my longest trips of the year.. sometimes on back to back days and others with days in-between ('cause... bad weather) and the Velmia has been nothing but completely comfortable! No soreness whatsoever. I'm really kinda shocked by this! LOL Not to mention that it still looks brand new. I'm still keeping my rating at 4/5 stars simply because the 5th star is for durability and only time will tell that. I HIGHLY recommend this seat. >>Original Review:>> I've only owned about 4-5 saddles in the past 30 yrs so I'm no expert. My previous saddle was a Cloud 9 and it was super comfy! But it was so BIG. It always looked odd on my '88 Schwinn Sierra MTB. But it was so D$@! Comfortable that I didn't care! Unfortunately, it only lasted about 5 yrs before a couple of good falls ripped it. In those 5 yrs I lost a lot of weight so I wanted something a bit better fitting (anatomically & aesthetically). This Velmia certainly fits the bill aesthetically and the longer nose (compared to the Cloud 9) & the seat air vent feel much better, anatomically. But it's certainly not as comfortable. On the Cloud 9 I just plopped my butt down and I was sitting pretty. On the Velmia I have to pay attention to how I'm sitting; making sure my sitz bones are exactly where they need to be for a comfortable fit. It's not a bad thing.. just different. I'm sure I'll get use to it. Another pro for the Velmia is the covering. It's not a slippery material so I don't find myself sliding forward on it as I did the Cloud 9.. but this also means I have to lift my butt up to reposition as the material holds onto my shorts if I try to just slide into another position. Again, not a bad thing, just different. The longer nose certainly feels more comfortable and supportive and the lack of that on the Cloud 9 was at least partially the reason I would slip forward and have to reposition so often. I've put about 100 miles on it since it arrived and haven't had a sore butt and that's after putting more than 1000 miles on my Cloud 9 since the summer began. So.. I'm good! The last piece to the puzzle and it's, of course, an important one.. How durable is the Velmia? Only time will tell... But I certainly hope it's a good LONG time!

Pleasantly Surprised
Up until this time I have been using gel seat covers. They worked well for me for years and I still would not write them off all together. But lately every gel cover splits on one side, and eventually becomes uncomfortable. The last gel cover I bought on Amazon, split after my first 1 hour ride. I was given a refund. That was the 3rd one of a brand that is highly rated on here. They are comfortable at first but eventually the gel splits, and even oozes out sometimes. Anyway, this memory foam seat surprised me, I think its wonderful so far. I have been using it for about 2 to 3 months. I was a bit nervous ditching the gel seat covers, but read some reviews on this seat, and other info on gel vs foam seats/seat covers. I figured at this point I got to try something different. The seat did feel different at first but after a while it felt rather good. I stopped thinking of my sore butt and I did not have to keep shifting around so much. The shape of the seat seems to work for me, it was pretty easy to install. I still might adjust the forward and back position and height, which all has to do with my knees, back and hip issues. I do have to say that my physical issues during cycling and afterward are much better using this seat. I have my bike on a trainer right now. I ride for about an hour or so 1 to 2 times a week. So far so good. I think this seat will work well for me once I get out on the road again when the weather gets a bit nicer. When the seat arrived I did have an issue with the packaging. The box was rather beat up and it was obviously opened before. I contacted the seller and they understood my dissatisfaction with the packaging. They gave me a partial refund. There was nothing wrong with the seat, it was in good condition. Also I am listed here as a Vine reviewer, I did get the Vine invite, but have not gone ahead with that yet. So this review is from my own purchase of the product.

Buy this saddle right now
I have just put my 500th mile in this saddle, so I thought it was time to write a review. I ride a Trek mountain bike, and I ride off road and also paved and gravel trails. For the first 2500 miles or so on my bike, I rode the saddle it came with. Eventually I couldn't take the discomfort any more. Then I got this baby! Overall, I could not be happier. Prior to having this, the pain limit on my arse was about 20 miles. Now I do 60 without noticing it. I will mention a couple things that I experienced, that you might too. First, I felt like I was a bit more forward in the saddle, in spite of adjusting the saddle to be as far back on the rails as possible. Second, I had to adjust the seat post height, since this saddle is quite a bit thicker (taller) that the piece of concrete I used to sit on. Third, possibly due to the slight geometry change, I had a bit of inner thigh pain - maybe due to previously lesser-used muscles being used more. All 3 were minor: I got used to the feeling of being more forward after only a few rides, and the leg pain disappeared quickly. Honestly, this saddle completely changed not only my rides, but my riding. I HIGHLY recommend this saddle.

Long ride seat!
My seat was making noises (squeaking) on my new bike thought I'd give this Velma a try this seat is silent and a bonus, If you're looking for comfort this seat is the ticket! Trek is not to small, not to big easy to mount and is so soft I could ride all day.

Not very comfortable
I would rate this product a C+. It arrived in good condition, but it is not as comfortable as I had expected. Not very soft and doesn’t feel like the memory foam I have experienced elsewhere. It’s only slightly more comfortable that the stock saddle that came with my Huffy mountain bike.

Extremely comfortable!!
This is the most comfortable bike seat I have ever tried! I tried wider seats with gel and memory foam that completely chafed my thighs and back side. I also tried thinner firmer seats and that felt like I was sitting on a plank of wood after a while. I ride my bike 90+ miles a day and this is the only seat that feels comfortable the longest. I highly recommend this seat and will purchase again!

bardzo dobre pierwsze wrażenia
Siodełko zakupiłem do roweru trekkingowego.
