Proper old-school etch primer that bites into metal like it’s trying to prove a point. Gave whatever I sprayed a surface so grippy the top coat practically sprinted onto it. Good etch primer and sprays well from The can. Covers less than I’d have thought from one can, in my case really could have done with two.

On first impressions the Jenolite universal etch primer went on with a smooth grey finish on to my galvanised sheeting . So far so good. Once i was applying the top coat i notice that the gloss spray seemed to break down this etch primer which i though was odd and gave it a marble / cracked finish in places. A few coats later I still wasn’t happy with the finish. So i wanted to start again and to my surprise the paint and etch primer scrapped off the galvanised sheet with minimal or little effort… “IT DID NOT ADHERE TO GALVANISED SHEET” very disappointing Will update if more successful on second attempt..

Good primer, essential when painting aluminium and other difficult surfaces. After removing flaking paint from outside lamp I primed bare surfaces with this product and result after applying finishing coat looks great and should last.
