Awesome to have in your bag!
This simple, yet effective phone mount is great to have. Fits almost any current smart phone and holds it very securely. Quality: For those not familiar with the Manfrotto name, they make very high quality gear. I have several try-pods, video heads, sliders, and other camera gear from them and I am never disappointed. This quick-to-attach mount is no exception. I use it with the Manfrotto Pixi Evo 2 Mini Tri-Pod for instances where my DSLR and full try-pod is not necessary. I have used other cell phone mounts in the past and they can be quite flimsy and cheap. This mount feels neither and has done it's job superbly. This mount has a vertical and horizontal mount screw, as well as a "kick stand" not the back for propping your phone up for watching videos. It's a nice extra feature that they didn't have to include. Many other similar mounts found on amazon offer less features and quality for the same price range. Dislikes: My only complaint is I wish that it had a lever or something to use to expand while inserting your phone. It's not the end of the world, but it would have been nice. I also had some concerns about the noise the spring makes when you pull the ends part to slide your phone in, but after a lot of use, it seem to have no negative impact on the unit. Months later, still no signs of breaking or damage.

Solid and Functional
I thought I would step up to a little nicer phone holder for a mini tripod I have, after a less expensively designed model of a different brand had its rubber gripping fall off. This is a very well made phone holder, and it is holding up quite well after owning it for several months and use a few times each week. Having metal threads, I'm not worried about any trouble with mounting it to a tripod. I will say this has a plastic flip-out stand so you could lean your phone on a surface, and that plastic piece seems flimsy, and I would anticipate it breaking if you weren't careful. As for the size of a phone you could use, if it's 3.25 inches wide and under, you'll have no problem (minimum width is 2.25 inches). A phone thicker than .5 inches wouldn't be advisable, which you should consider if you want to keep a case on your phone (I don't). I think a good question to ask is, if you lost this thing, would you buy it again, and in this case, I would. It's solid and functional.

Good, solid smartphone clamp, but perhaps a bit too tight for larger phones
I bought this clamp for a Samsung Galaxy A11. I carefully verified that its specified width would accept my phone, which it does, just barely. I can put it on with a bit of effort (one attempt had me slingshotting the clamp and my handle across the counter). It's so tight that I worry it might put stress on my phone's frame. I have been leaving the clamp with something very wide clamped into it overnight, hoping it might exert some wear on the spring and perhaps loosen it up a bit during normal usage. But it does hold the phone extremely well and its balance while using it is, nice, natural feeling. I'm using a small microphone shaped handle which came with a Zoom audio recorder but the clamp also works well on my Manfroto monopod and on the many and sundry tripods I have on hand. I would not hesitate to buy this very secure clamp, but would warn anyone with phones which come close to its specified maximum width to be sure they know that it's very, very tight.

Slick little gadget. Well made but not as rugged as it looks
I got this to attach my cell phone (Galaxy S7 with Otterbox case) to a tripod. It does that well but is just a little too small to easily fit over the rubberized Otterbox case. I can make it fit, but it would sure be nice if it expanded another 1/4 inch or so. It is a good looking unit despite being made of plastic. The tripod socket is lined with metal however and it fits on all of my several tripods. The grip is good (especially with the rubber case on the phone) so overall it works as good as other units I've had but looks a lot better. It has a small pull out leg so it can act as a phone holder on flat surface but I haven't used that feature very often.

Barely fits the Google Pixel 6 Pro in a thin case!
This is a review for the Manfrotto Smartphone Clamp, Basic Version (MCLAMP), which I picked up along with a Joby mini tripod, even though I had a Manfrotto PIXI. See my review for the Joby for why, but I usually trust Manfrotto's quality and decided to go with their phone clamp. I made sure the measurements described fit my Google Pixel 6 Pro, which is a monster of a phone, and the clamp does in fact fit, though you have to grab it a bit off-centered to avoid the volume buttons. Still, the grip is very secure and stable, even off-centered. I'm not sure if it would've worked if I used a thicker case like an Otterbox though. The MCLAMP has are two 1/4" threaded screws to mount to a tripod or stand: the one in the back is, I'm guessing, used to make the tripod into a stand for viewing. If you don't have a tripod handy, you can also flip out the back panel to create a stand to, say watch movies on a plane. Really good value at $10, especially for a Manfrotto product.

OK, not great
I got this because I couldn't find a good metal phone mount at the time (fewer good options then). First, I don't like that this is spring-loaded, though I knew that going in, so I'm not rating based on this. Screw-adjustable tripod mounts are a lot easier to adjust to my liking, and my phone never felt secure in this. My big complaint is that the jaws and pads are tiny. If you're trying a phone without a case, a recent phone will be fine. I've tried with models of iPhones in the last 3 years with the Otterbox Defender and Commuter cases, which are fairly low-profile. The phones have been super unstable in these and want to jump out because there's almost no depth to the jaws of the clamp. I don't trust the clamp at all. My final complaint is that the mount is plastic and just doesn't feel sturdy in general. If you have a really specific need, they'd probably do OK for some light use, but I wouldn't trust it very far. For about 3 bucks more, you can get an excellent phone mount. I'd recommend the Ulanzi ST-03 phone mount if you're looking for one. It's awesome because it's solid metal, adjustable, and folds somewhat flat without the jaws sticking out. I bought one and ended up buying a second because I liked it so much. It has more features than the Manfrotto, including a built-in Arca Swiss mount so you don't have to use the tripod screw, and the build quality is MUCH better.

Easy, rugged, and rigid
After 4 years of daily use it broke at this weak point between the back plate and the stationary side. This isn't really a criticism, just an FYI. I use these at my desk to mount cellphones while I use them more like a laptop than a phone. If you use this daily as I have, be careful to not flex it too much and it will last longer.

Promosso a pieni voti. Pratico, maneggevole e di rapido utilizzo. A parte questo ,

Cost effective way to connect your iPhone to your camera tripod.
I needed to be able to attach my iPod to my camera tripod. This is an excellent choice because it is high quality and inexpensive. It does the job and I would recommend it.

Passt hervorragend auf Bestand-Tripod etc.
Artikel tut, was er soll. Er ist hervorragend adaptierbar auf die vorhanden Klemmen (anderer Hersteller). Die Klemme wirkt stabil. Absolute Empfehlung. Von Bestellung bis Erhalt (innerhalb eines Tages) lief alles top.
