Magnetic paint
Use this paint to make a magnetic board to hang signs on. Has good coverage whenever painted, not too bad a smell. I used it to make a magnet board for grandkids to play with.

Disappointed
I was very excited about trying this so I could “hang” frames and decor on my walls instead of putting holes in my walls. But the magnetization is Very weak! I went a little crazy In my application at first, because I wanted to use it all over the house. And despite I mixed it well, it didn’t go very far. It’s very thick. And once I read the directions, it stated needing 3-6 coats. I was able to finish the areas I highly desired with 3 coats, and I had a strong magnet to try on it, but it barely held, let alone a frame or even a piece of paper. So I tried another can, so I could make my 6 coats, and I don’t notice a difference from when I only had 3 coats. I even proceeded to order their magnets to try on their paint, just in hopes, maybe that’s what I was missing. But still no different. In fact, I have yet to paint over it, which I’m dreading, because they called it grey, but it came out to be black once I used it, and I’m sure 1 coat of latex paint is not going to cover it, along with the fact, I can’t help to think painting over it will only weaken what little magnetization there is…$50 down the drain, just on the magnetize it paint, let alone the magnets and extra latex paint in order to paint over it.

Excellent magnetic paint
Worked wonderfully. I used the Magnetic Paint & Primer outside on the brick wall of my house. I've used this type of paint on the inside for my magnets and thought why not try outside. I was able to get 4 coats. Covers well and also used crafting paint for outdoors to paint over it. There was no clumping, easy to use, smooth application and no odor (I was outside). I've collected lots of magnets over the years and family/friends have given me magnets from all over the US as well as other countries. Now instead of being in a box, they are now proudly displayed.

Works Ok, not Grey
I bought this primer so I could hang magnets on a utility cabinet in my kitchen. The kitchen is mostly white with some light grey accents. When I bought the primer it came in 3 colors - black, dark grey, and grey. I bought grey hoping it would look better in my kitchen. However this primer was definitely black. Because of that, I ended up having to paint over the primer with several coats of a grey paint. Not sure why they would sell 3 colors of they're all black anyway??Painting was a bit of a challenge. The primer was VERY thick and splattered pretty badly when using the roller. However with proper prep that wouldn't be as bad. I should have put more cover on my floors so I didn't have to clean as much primer from the flooring. It works OK. Based on other comments, I put on 4 coats of primer. It's not the strongest surface ever and I do worry about some of the magnets staying put. But it does work. The only type of magnet I couldn't get to stick were the ones that were more "rubbery". I added a picture as an example. And I had a few with weaker magnets that wouldn't stick either.

Overpriced and you need a lot to get a strong magnetic coating. Recommend mid priced option.
I originally purchased the cheapest option from this seller, it used the entire pint to coat my ~42 sq ft surface the required 3 minimum coats. This still did not provide a strong magnetic coating. The instructions says a max of 6, so I went to buy more. This time I purchased the mid priced, more premium, option. It was a night and day difference in just the quality of the paint. The lower quality clumped and caused many irregularities on the wall and did not have a smooth finish. If you are spending this much anyway, get the mid priced option. It will make your life easier. After the max 6 coats it still is not to my liking for strong magnetism. It feels like the magnet will easily fall off. Others recommend strong magnets yet my neodymium still feel like they will fall off on their own. It works but could be better.

Perfect for Creating a Custom Magnetic Wall!
This magnetic paint worked exactly as I hoped! I used it to create a magnetic border in my home office to display my Disney annual pass magnets, and it turned out great. The paint was easy to apply, and after following the instructions and allowing it to cure properly, the magnets held securely. It’s a fun and creative way to turn unused wall space into a functional display area.If you’re planning to display lightweight magnets, photos, or souvenirs, this is a great option. Just be sure to apply the recommended number of coats for the best magnetic strength. I’m really happy with how my project turned out and would definitely buy it again.

Don't Do it! Find a different product.
PROS:- Somewhat magnetic after 3 coats- While it doesn't work well with your typical refrigerator strength magnet, I purchased some push pin style earth magnets that were capable of sticking and holding 2 sheets of paper.CONS:- Paint was completely separated upon opening and was a thick, almost solid blob. Spent a long time mixing to get it workable.- There were completely solid chunks (almost like pebbles) that I had to pick off the wall as I applied the paint.- When it finally dried, the wall had a texture like rough sand paper. This was a totally deal breaker as the plan was to top it with chalkboard paint to create a magnetic chalkboardAfter a week, I've decided to sand the entire wall down and make it just a chalkboard paint. Using this product was a horrible waste of time, money and energy.

Great magnetic paint
Bought this magnetic paint and primer to paint my son's room and definitely happy with my purchase. Used 3 coats and the magnets stick to it with no issues. It was easy to apply and mix. You have to mix it through out to get rid of clumps. The odor is not very strong similar to any other paint. So far it has been very durable. Ok value for me because I painted half the room. I used 1 gallon. Would definitely purchase again.

No sirve. Se pusieron 4 capas y no fue posible colocar ni un solo imán. No lo recomiendo.

Meh!
I’ve done 3/4 of the can and it still won’t hold a magnet. Doesn’t go on smooth,More like a gel than a paint.Definitely would not recommend this product!
